  • rockn roll suicide is just something tasted good on his tounge...you people dont realise if you accapt this @ face value he gets away with too much and snickers...he was auter..it just a pose? this album was mellotromed to death ...ya know/ it sucks

  • Simple words, sharp and poignant, deep meaning,it seems written by a suicide just after his soul flown away...maybe he get read his brother mind...

One of the best song of all times

  • someones gotta upload in 360p!

  • @mysterycity23 no Slayer is a god u retard

  • I'm in that amazing part of youtube again...

  • @SpoonsAtMidnight music doesnt get any better than this

  • FUCKING BEST SONG EVER.All the young dudes by Moot the Hoople is a close 2nd,but lets face it.Bowie is God!

  • Tremendous stuff.

  • I love you David !! I've never been alone since I've seen you live in Paris! Give me your hands!!!!

  • such an underated song of his I think..

  • I remember dancing the night away on this music, smoking some funcigarets, drink some tequilas, being with great friends, and having a fantastic time. Great memories, nice trip down Memory Lane listening to this every now and than.......

  • I believe that Mick Ronson arranged the strings for this. I'm not positive. Who ever it was, the arrangement is brilliant!

  • @progrocker9 Yes it was Ronson. Almost surpassed his arrangement of 'Life on Mars'. The man was a real diamond. Under-rated to this day.

  • One of my all time favourite songs.

  • wonderful just like the life when you feel it's hard to go on..and a song says you..go on,man !!

  • The best. The best of them all. Happy Birthday, my love. You will always be in my heart and on my playlist. x x .

  • There's a kid at my school who recently killed himself because he was bullied to a point where he could no longer handle it. They found his body by the train tracks today. I feel incredibly bad that I never did anything when they were picking on him.

This song reminds me of how unnecessary suicide is. I think I play this song at my school's talent show in April, dedicating it to him.

    Rest in peace, Alex.

  • @redrover327-That is very very sad, the ones that bullied him should be brought up on criminal charges, I bet they don't even care. Its hard to stand up for what is right. Next time you will know how important it is, to do just that.......

  • @redrover327 i dont want to make you feel bad mate, but its important to stand up to cunty bullies like that. im sure the kid who was bullied couldnt do it for himself like some people are able to. i really dont want to make you feel bad pal, at least you can acknowledge it now. just take it as a lesson in the future. if you see something that you know is wrong, make your voice heard and stand up for what you know is right. im no where near perfect, we all have to strive to improve.

  • @treytoshable im glad that poor childs life meant something to you tho. and im sure more people cared about him than he knew. if anyone reads this who is being bullied or anything like that. things do get better if you can stick it out. dont be afriad to seek help from adults. worst case scenario bring a fucking spanner/wrench one day in your school bag/back pack and knock the fucking shit out of those cunts. weak people like bullies only respond to strength

  • @redrover327 My son loved this song. It was on the history on the last day of his life, with Adam Green's I wanna Die, before he killed himself 3 days after his 16th birthday. I cannot tell, cannot express the destruction and pain you cause when you do this. YOu are so loved, even when you cannot see it, YOU ARE NOT ALONE. Please tell someone PLEASE, if you feel this way.

  • @DavidaVeddar lost my day almost 2 years ago from suicide also. It's very hard losing someone you love this way.

It's a selfish way to go but I guess some people can't deal with the pain they are feeling and just want it to end. Everything passes....and that feeling would too. It's so sad. Sorry for your loss.

  • It says ''k.west'' on the sign behind him

  • @hildurvagi ... Your point?

  • David is still alive, stop saying bullshits. ;-)

  • God Bless David Bowie. / Christoffer from Sweden

  • My favourite one. If there's a god it is David Bowie!

  • @LadyMoonwitch not god; alien.

    clapton is god.

  • @LadyMoonwitch I hate when people compare David Bowie to god. I mean, sure, he's good, but he's not David!!!

  • @skwuballo I have seen nigh identical comments for Pink Floyd, Billy Joel, Kansas, Simon and Garfunkel, The Beatles, and many others.

    Please be more original.

  • @skwuballo lmao right

  • @skwuballo lol haha very good.

  • @skwuballo HAHA! Love it!!!!

  • More than anything, it's about time with yourself, facing yourself. Somehow we kill ourselves everyday, only to reawaken within ourselves the next, hopefully move on. The disappointments will soften as time travels, as we gain momentum. But it's about equal to the time we have to reveal what we need to know. Wisdom comes to replace some of that early sorrow and anxiety that all rebels feel, especially in our teens and twenties. The bigger picture looms and we tend to see that time has a purpose.

  • in my early twenties my parents sent me to rehab in l.a , I listened to this album on the train, nice memories

  • I need someone to switch on the Large Hadron vacuum cleaner and suck me back from wherever this song just blew me away to......

  • Oh no love, you're not alone. ♫

  • Sometimes when I'm feeling down, I listen to this and think of my friends and family...

  • A very compassionate song. Love it!

    diana

  • When I was a kid I loved Bowie's music for what it was, I did not understand most of it but somehow connected to the emotional content, now many years later I just love it ....my first was pin ups the rest is history, Drive in Saturday, the Man who Sold the World, Five Years,,Rebel Rebel, Ziggy, Diamond Dogs, This Is Not America,Absolute Beginners, et. al. Bowie is the original of the species I guess.....

  • When I was a kid I loved Bowie's music for what it was I did not understand most of it but somehow connected to the emotional content, now many years later I just love it ....

  • iam alien myself to, so i won't do suicide i'll just blow myself somewhere...

  • Could some one explain the lyrics to me, please?

  • @nubster2010 seriously?

  • @nubster2010

the lyric is part of a bigger picture. you need to listen to the whole album to get it. one of the best rock albums ever.

  • @nubster2010 Sure they could destroy the lyrics for you by explaining the,. But why would you want to get raped like that? why not live them and experience them?

  • Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy ahead of his time--This album is a MUST

  • Dear YouTube:

In this video I found a horrible misspelling right on the bottom of the player. There's a button that apparently says "Like", so I wait for you to give us a hand, cause it's "Wonderful".

  • I have not even been born yet but hell when I came in to this world I gonna go out and make sure that I have a copy of this song on my computer on, on my ipod, on my iphone, in my car and in my head permanently...... 'wonderful'

  • @hfield - I couldn't agree more with you - when thinking of a David Bowie song the very same words come to mind : "Time takes a cigarette...". Bowie is a GREAT artist

  • flip

  • When I was going through a bad time in my life, I contemplated suicide, but then this song came on the radio and when he said "Oh no love, you're not alone!" and "Give me your hands- 'cause you're wonderful!" I broke down because I felt he was literally reaching out to me, thus, David Bowie saved my life.

  • I will have my first birthday tomorrow and i love this song.

  • goosebumps again...

  • R.I.P Darby Crash.

  • Arto saari sorry

  • There is an indescribable feeling that one gets when they experience something of great beauty. Your chest floats and it sends shivers down your spine. Its total bliss. I have never experienced this feeling from art, nature or literature. i have however experienced it from two things. Number 1: being in love, and Number 2: The Music of David Bowie.

  • ddjkga wg

  • I wonder how many times kurt cobain listened to this song before he shot himself...

  • I like to rewrite the lyrics to this song and sing it in the voice of Katy Perry. Someday I'll upload the video. Hail Satan.

  • Rock n Roll suicide: When you find something greater than yourself within yourself, that's when you know you have something to live for. If you can help someone else, you find yourself.

  • THIS IS SAD BUT I PRODUCE AND DIDN'T LISTEN TO THIS MAN WHEN I WAS YOUNGER I DO NOW. IMMENSE TALENT. I SUPPOSE THE MAJORITY OF MAINSTREAM MUSIC HERE IN THE US I DO NOT HERE THE HARMONY IN IT AS MUCH... SO I SUPPOSE THE OLD BECOMES THE NEW.

  • Good song, but the version from the BBC sessions is even better.

  • This song reminds me of folly foot farm

  • I love Bowie so fucking much and now I can't listen to his music anymore without crying :'(

  • I always listen to this song when I feel lonely or sad.

    Bowie is the truth!!! ♥

  • Quitting the ciggs, all thanks too this song!!

  • @fiskekroker lol why that makes no sense

  • "dont let the milk float ride your mind". Good advice to all.

  • bowie was so far ahead of everything else in his time frame and he knew it.

  • I hate all the "I'm only fifteen but I love this.. blah blah blah.." Who cares how old you are? Just listen to the good music!

  • @xBeingNEONx and i hate when old people dismiss newer generation's music. ironically, we got something in common. i like both.

  • @xBeingNEONx I think what all these 15 year olds etc are trying to say to you is: And these children hat you spit on as they try to change their worlds are immune to your consultations. They're quite aware of what they're going through.

  • @snobhater :) xxxx

  • @snobhater Beautiful....Bowie would be proud.

  • @snobhater I'M 15, high, and not a native English speaker, but I think you're right xD

  • @xBeingNEONx

    You said it!

That being said though, I was 15 when I first heard this.

  • @xBeingNEONx I'm only sixteen but I love this.. blah blah blah..

  • @xBeingNEONx i'm 16 and i love this

  • the best album of the 70s?fuckin godlike

  • OOOOPS !! I'm now knocking on in years - must change my life style.........!!

  • all I hear today is that the youth all want to be born year's back, & we did have ZAPPA, ENO,BOWIE,ZEPPELIN,LENNON/MACARTNY,DYLAN,& load's more brilliant people back then & looking at my wee list I've just realised that the youth of today have got to look back at the mum's & dad's favourites to actually have a life, I'd hate to be young now!ha'ha! fuckthat for a game of doctor's & nurse's.

  • listen, I could cry... this music is in the past... today we have just garbage... if god exist... let David coming back - for ever

  • just like the best song ever. everything is perfect in this song, And at 2:12 when he screams " you're not alone " It breaks my heart.

  • @bluemaria34 this song can make me very joyous at times, but can also make me bust up. Truly wonderful song.

  • @RoddyMyagi yes, exactly. This is a really powerful song, thanks to the sincere voice of David Bowie and pretty words and a very beautiful music. a very beautiful music.

And sorry for the mistakes, I'm French :)

  • voor peter and me anno nu we crier nearly about this

  • Greatest Bowie song ever...

  • Thanks steveabc123xyz

    You seem pretty cool

  • Hey Teenagers! You are right the 60's and 70's were good decades for great music but remember you don't have to be a genius to be good at something! Just do YOUR thing and do your best. All you young dudes are sooooo worthwhile!!!!

  • Was thinking about it, he would've never made it he premiered within the last 5-10 years. Guys like Bowie, Dylan, Zeppelin, Floyd, Zappa, you know artists that advanced music? They wouldn't stand a chance in these pre-packaged days when songs are written for performers and their vocals aren't even their real vocals. Thank god for the 60's and 70's.

  • Yeah....I was born in the wrong decade...

  • first heard this song long ago when I was young and pathetic-bowie shouting you're not alone probably saved my life. still love the song-now i don't hear the secret message of hope but the sheer artistry

  • 0:00

    Don't thank me :)

  • got this album, again, today. saw it used in the store. bought it and left the store before i realized i had more shoping to do

  • I can't count how many times this song has kept me from committing suicide.

  • Thumbs up if MAROCK brought u here :)

  • Disable comments, too good to comment on.

    Wonderful!

  • a nod should go to the late great Mick Ronson who played piano and sang backup on this historic album.

  • @BrEaKiNgDaWn174eva i WAS born in 1960 - and you got it all exactly right.

  • @jasonwheel

    Moi aussie

  • What will be a legacy of David's? In a daily life? I'm from the heathland. Eh

  • I can't help listening to this song! LOVE IT!

  • Arguably the best Bowie tune ever.My favorite.

  • god he's amazing! this is music my fellow teenagers, not that pop crap you listen to! Long live rock n' roll. :D

  • 12/8 time signatures are always are the best!

  • I hate dubstep

  • So much truth in this song.

You're NOT alone. Give me your hand, cause you're WONDERFUL.

Thank you, David, for providing the sound track to my youth.

  • I hated Bowie with a passion as a kid, my eldest sister was totally hooked on Bowie and every day I had to listen to her Bowie LPs over and over. Sadly she committed suicide at the tender young age of 18. She should have played this song before she died and just maybe things would have been different. Over the years I have come to appreciate David Bowie's wonderful and amazing talent and he is now firmly in my favorite top 5 artistes of all time. RIP LCB 1961- 1980 Miss you x

  • @rick666ism Too sensitive, good person are the only that...An ancient greek says told:Who's loved by the Gods die young....all my true respect for your pain.

  • @rick666ism this is such a sad and beautiful story, thanks for sharing it with us, like this song. I too disliked Bowie at first but he has since grown on me. It's amazing the difference it makes when we actually pay attention to the lyrics.

  • Comment removed

  • @rick666ism That is beautiful of you to share. It's is truly a tragedy when young people die. Bless

  • thank you dad for "teaching" me music!

  • I personally prefer Life on Mars, but I would put this one on the top too :)
