There's a kid at my school who recently killed himself because he was bullied to a point where he could no longer handle it. They found his body by the train tracks today. I feel incredibly bad that I never did anything when they were picking on him.
This song reminds me of how unnecessary suicide is. I think I play this song at my school's talent show in April, dedicating it to him.

Was thinking about it, he would've never made it he premiered within the last 5-10 years. Guys like Bowie, Dylan, Zeppelin, Floyd, Zappa, you know artists that advanced music? I hated Bowie with a passion as a kid, my eldest sister was totally hooked on Bowie and every day I had to listen to her Bowie LPs over and over. Sadly she committed suicide at the tender young age of 18. She should have played this song before she died and just maybe things would have been different. Over the years I have come to appreciate David Bowie's wonderful and amazing talent and he is now firmly in my favorite top 5 artistes of all time. RIP LCB 1961- 1980 Miss you x

all I hear today is that the youth all want to be born year's back, & we did have ZAPPA, ENO,BOWIE,ZEPPELIN,LENNON/MACARTNY,DYLAN,& load's more brilliant people back then & looking at my wee list I've just realised that the youth of today have got to look back at the mum's & dad's favourites to actually have a life, I'd hate to be young now!ha'ha! fuckthat for a game of doctor's & nurse's.

Was thinking about it, he would've never made it he premiered within the last 5-10 years. Guys like Bowie, Dylan, Zeppelin, Floyd, Zappa, you know artists that advanced music? They wouldn't stand a chance in these pre-packaged days when songs are written for performers and their vocals aren't even their real vocals. Thank god for the 60's and 70's.

I hated Bowie with a passion as a kid, my eldest sister was totally hooked on Bowie and every day I had to listen to her Bowie LPs over and over. Sadly she committed suicide at the tender young age of 18. She should have played this song before she died and just maybe things would have been different. Over the years I have come to appreciate David Bowie's wonderful and amazing talent and he is now firmly in my favorite top 5 artistes of all time. RIP LCB 1961- 1980 Miss you x

@rick666ism this is such a sad and beautiful story, thanks for sharing it with us, like this song. I too disliked Bowie at first but he has since grown on me. It's amazing the difference it makes when we actually pay attention to the lyrics.
