  • VERY SLEPT ON CD!!!!!

  • A woman performing sign languages in the hook of a rap video? That's innovation right there. And, she's adding a little bit of spice while she's doing it? That's hip hop.

Again, this is why so many of us are stuck on hip hop of yesterday: more style, creativity, flavor, and most importantly, SKILL.

  • This is one of the most slept on albums ever. And Keith is one of the realest dudes ever. Hip-hop will never die!

  • love this track so much , happy memories for me , big up keith

  • Enigma too sick.

  • old school hip hop is the best-i like to see the new battle the old,the old would win hands down.

  • i put clip in glock

  • "I'm a scientist in the mix like Plyx. Turning all you fly emcees back into maggots."

  • back in the days. . .

  • There's no such thing as an MC anymore. Keith was an MC.

  • @gottago , no doubt.

  • still fire proof like a ash tray

  • the mad matador of metaphor-

flips the harcore for him and his, them and theirs, you and yours

  • NEW JERSEY DRIVE STYLE!!!!!!!!! 90'S the golden age of HIP HOP!!!

  • I miss this days in Hip Hop...

  • @ajanisnelling I with you, I wish we could go back.

  • I don't think I've stopped playing this song (hell, the whole album) since it came out. What a great song this is. Simple, and yet, extremely well done.

  • I keep it jiggy jiggy jiggy jiggy

we keep it be wiggy wiggy wiggy wiggy

cause it be jiggy jiggy jiggy jiggy

and it be wiggy wiggy wiggy wiggy

  • A little something to this beat:

Once again it's the incognito, seldom flow dropper

novice beatboxer and rising rap chief rocker

giving y'all a taste of my lyrical whimsicalities

allowing y'all to observe my rhythmatic originalities

when I rap, I never try to be emulative

verbally and on pen and paper I try to be creative

I don't eat rappers cuz' I don't find them appetizing

even if they're good; competition I don't find enticing...

  • @MJBThePeacekeeper lmfao....SHUT....THE...FUCK...UP....u fucking ruined a classic....

  • ....my raps are so hot you will instantly scorch

to a certain extent I can burn wack rappers like The Human Torch....

Virginia is where 'The Peacekeeper' relaxes

fact is, this area is nothin' but tunnels and personal property taxes

shout out to all the local emcees around

or everybody else that's reppin' 2 up and 2 down

if you say I ain't nice with it you must be a clown

I guess you have no idea of how dumb you sound

  • So underrated...

    One of the best!!!

  • this beat doesn't fit keith murray

  • Maybe Wayne is the best... you obviously can't go on YouTube without his name in somebody's mouth like a dick. Always talking about dude like he's the standard to compare all emcees to. If you like Keith Murray then like Keith Murray regardless of how you feel about Lil' Wayne. To be honest some of Wayne's shit I find catchy but I identify more with Def Squad now STFU and enjoy the goddamn video. Muhfuckas get on my nerves. Any rap and you see Wayne. With R&B it's Beyonce'. Give it a rest, shit!

  • jarbon im from new york to its terrible how everybody loves young money and shit its like they forgot all about the mcs from there hometown

  • both versions of this track are $

  • @LilWayne4Life123123 is that you wayne nigga u wack why u kissing men that u met when u was 12 talkin bout he your daddy i get it wezzing f baby weezy FUCKING BABY

  • It's crazy the way the new generation doesnt respect shit.........they dont even respect themselves. if you cant see that this is a classic you are the epitome of burnt. you have no knowledge of real HIP-HOP and thats why you listen to FAKE HIP-HOP. Thats like green day speaking down on the stones you dick. WAYNE is washed his crew is washed and the niggas that support him are washed. Record sales dont mean he is the Greatest. look at Big L. Means the new generation is far worse than we thought.

  • @fonzy510 hip hop wasent ment to be main stream. Dig and youl find music like this today. peace !

  • @ AMEN!

  • @fonzy510 hey thats not fair man i am 16 i know all old school

  • @fonzy510 mayn shut up, get over yourself

  • whos the dork who thinks Wayne can rap?... is it drake?

  • @raedarpetone well it cant be drake cuz he the ghostwriter or maybe it is lol

  • @LilWayne4Life123123 Bitch....get the fuuuucccckkkk outta here

  • Word Lil Waynes a disgrace.....people forgot what a real MC is defined as

  • @LilWayne4Life123123 Just go away... Lil Wayne's faggot fans aren't allowed to comment on videos like this

  • What used to be a staple of anti-Establishment sentiments, now wallows in glorification of it.

    RIP real hip-hop.

  • I miss the lyricism and ORIGINALITY that used to run rampant through hip hop

  • no matter how much keith murray is a bitch ass nigga in person, he was 1 of the illest lyricists in the 90s and always dropped hot shit

  • werd is bond illuminati turned rap into a weapon of mass destruction for the hood cuz we was using it to express ourselves and they cudnt handle us having power

  • 6 people need a slap for disliking this. #classichiphop

  • Mr. Murray once again!

  • Grand P (Clarq Kenz) Featuring Keith Murray -Word Up brand new

  • the jay dee remix is so much better

  • Keith Murray is a problem point blank period man.

  • the most beautifullest, vocabulist...will punch you 40 mc's, dead in thee asophogus... Sick ass line

  • Favorite rapper EVA!!!

  • keep it hype................

  • love the wat this dude always wants to squeeze as many muti-syllable words into 4bars as he can!

  • Keith Murray be killin'em with the phenomenal word play, that's what I loved about him. That is pretty unseen in HipHop these days. Most rappers now have them really simplistic flows, that are usually about the bling, bitches, cars, money, drugs, and simple stuff like that. I don't even listen to current HipHop, I usually go diggin' in the crates when I wanna hear it. And, this song is a throwback to a time when HipHop was purer, and it sounds so good! Been missin' this type of HipHop!

  • most rated def sqad never sell out.oh any one got erik sermons boy meet world vedio

  • DefSquad was the shit. Eric Sermon, Redman and Keith Murray. god damn. people should of appreciated them more when they was really doing it

  • Murray gets crazy ass fuk in his shows he a dope MC

  • Underrated... not by people who love rap!

  • This is my thing ova here.Def Squad 4 ever!!

  • saw him life a year ago... PURE ENERGY!

  • The people and forgive me for this once I shall be harsh, I repeat the people that keep on talking about beats and remixes to an MC's art need to go sit by a pond and have a picnic. This is from an era in music that required talent and lyrical genius the beats were complementary. Moving on.

  • @Wilzehagawa

Yeah, there was a time when if you were whack you didn't last long. Although, at this point when this song was made, Hip-Hop was already in its decline. I like to say 95 is when it began, some say 94. I think real heads saw it coming in 94, but I think 95 is where it began to take shape. Today, mainstream hip-hop is total garbage. Pretty much everybody is whack. Being in New York and hearing people bumping whack ass Gucci Mane? I can't even believe it. It's a nightmare.

  • @AllPro777 I saw it too. 94 was the last year when it was pure 95 it was nose diving faster than sea gulls on a salmon run.

  • @AllPro777 "Being in New York and hearing people bumping whack ass Gucci Mane?" I can't believe it either, especially hearing about New Yorkers bumping Gucci Mane. I remember back in the day, New Yorkers wouldn't have even known who he was, or, very few of them would know about him. It's just crazy how HipHop has changed! New Yorkers bumping Gucci Mane, that's just mentally ill.

  • @jarbon5 even back in those days people wasn't listening to Outkast or Scareface. Those dudes are dope, but because they were'nt from NY or NJ...people over here wasn't messin with them.

  • @ENJ4321 It was kinda odd hearing that Up Northerners had never heard who Outkast or Scarface were back then (in the early 90's), cuz they were so big (well, they were down South). I figured that everyone had heard of rappers/groups like them. But, the Up North (I live in the South) had their own thing going on back then, so they really didn't need to listen to Southern rappers. Now, I hear Up Northerners talking about how Southern rappers are big there now. HipHop has definitely changed!

  • @jarbon5 Yeah that was around the time of the Big and Pac beef though. No one from East Or West knew anything of South,Midwest,or Canadian artist.Let alone we're they listen too each others sides. They would be like fuck Big,Pac Redman,Wu Tang, and East would be like fuck Snoop,Mack 10,Pac, Westside Connection,Cypress Hill. The south and Midwest been doing they thing.

  • @ENJ4321 Yeah, I can remember when the South was doing it's thing, but only in the South though! Other regions just ignored us. But, (not sure when) the South came out of it's corner and expanded to EVERYWHERE! It was cool for a while, but then things got ridiculous! In the beginning, Southern rap was good, but then it devolved into trash (Soulja Boy is a BIG example of this). Now, most of the good stuff has gone "Underground". So, I don't really listen to HipHop that much now:(

  • @Wilzehagawa couldnt have said it any better myself..before the glam and glits hit hip-hop you had raw style and just pure bars..basiclly be original and stop trynna remix somebody track

  • @Wilzehagawa Well said Sir

  • @Wilzehagawa keith murray coming to cleveland ohio july 10 if you in the area i got tickets 10$ hit me up

  • yea this beat is nice...but dilla remix of this song is SOOOOOO much better forreal

  • Dude he sounds and acts like redman!!!! like in candi bar and everything!

  • @KANDAM808 hes better than redman though dont ya think

  • @Jenko696969 naw i think redman is one of my fave rappers dead or alive but thats just my opinion

  • Enigma Keith Murray is just fucking great. please please can someone recommend more like this? specially the jazzy laid back style with the bass. I know of dilla, tribe de la soul , prem pete rock any more from the mid 90s i should be checking?

  • just not in america

  • People gotta spred the real school ... The old school doesn't have to be the old school, but the new school .. If only it was kept alive. by mc's and fans ..

  • @CasanovaLars IDK

  • Check out some underground acts, mate. There's still good hiphop out there. It's just not comercially successfull.

  • @Kochasiech i agree with u you obviously kno what u talkin bout word up

  • Dats hiphop.. dats empowerement.. u know!! its a gift.. but da rappers now altho dey aint gifted wit lyrics.. more busness minded.. so dey doing thier tin in dat way.. but i miss dis sortta tin!! da realll stuff i callit

  • Man, being business minded is kool and all that but making good music matters, man. I don't think anybody saw this coming.... I think eventually people expected Hip Hop to revert back to hardcore beats and street niggaz that knew how to rhyme and control a crowd during stage performances. And less weight selling talk. For music to sound this bad today, I'm under the impression there's some kind of illuminati conspiracy going on. U might be laughing but something aint right.

  • I agree 100%

Ive never heard music sound so terrible and people dont even question why it sounds so bad or why they're even listening to it. FUCK Illuminati, same bastards that had 2Pac murdered...

  • STRAIGHT UP. hip hop is the new rock n roll. "they" took control. infiltration and subversion. thats how you defeat resistance. by directing the resistance instead of fighting it head on. thats what a lot of the bullshit "con theories" are DISINFORMATION. but "they" already had their hands in the shit at this point...just the artists still had freedom. now they might literally be Mind Controlled puppets...wrap your domes around that.

  • Ay, do me a favor and check out a freestyle I did. Leave a comment on it, and tell me what you think. We hating this new music coming out from these artists. The most we can do really is create our own to bring balance to this shit if possible. That's actually deep what you said too. Disinformation was exactly the kind of strategy "they" were using against The Black Panthers also

  • @phesterjr for real i feel wat u say we need hiphop back on sum shit tho i think illumintai called big n pac

  • @hokutoshinobi92 There may be a Illuminati Theory to all of it. i still believe that, but @ the end of the day, Viamom took over MTV and BET and started changing the format of how music is presented. Everyone in the business (both music and making movies) will tell you that once these corporations like Viacom and a list of others started taking over the major networks and Hollywood pictures that's when entertainment started going to shit. Not sure if music will ever be back to it's original form

  • @phesterjr money dude. if u get a deal these days. pretty much all the record company will want from you is to do a duet with ke$hA and akon. thats why asher roths album was shit and his mixtapes are sick.

  • this song is ill

  • that's pure hiphop and i love it.. 5!

  • It sounds like a dilla beat? dope uh...

  • love dis Slum Vill remix, the original is dope too!

  • this is actually the original, not the jay dee remix

  • Those beats Erik Sermon produced were some of the first that had vocals and everything chopped up

  • keith murray is very underrated. the album that this song was on was called "Enigma and it was sic. you gotta listen to the whole thing. there might be like 2 weak songs outta 14 or 15. check out my song on my page too.

  • ya bro you're right keith murray style is really unique a fat flow and style we should bring back that school back

  • @scinnyc This shits a classic brother!! Good lookin!

  • @scinnyc yeah,da whole album dope.I still make noise singing listenin 2 it.cause it feels like dat if u can't control da rhyme.

  • i love his swag n dis beat!!!

  • very nice

  • kieth will demolish young chryme n a minute no comp at all cmon

  • IF U WANNA SEE KEITH MURAY BATTLELIN YOUNG CRHYME .. come and checkout da video and subscibe my channel

  • 2009 only 2 rappers cds went plat jayz and eminem nuff said hip hop is dead

  • Watch out im coming up!!!!!!

  • Actually lil wayne's CD went platinum too...wait maybe you only meant only 2 hip-hop CD's went platinum...oh, never mind then.

  • Comment removed

  • J Dilla worked a treat on the remix. Check it out peeps!

  • Everyone says the 90s was the best era of music. I personally think the whole 90s was dope and ill. Best years ever.

  • pamietam jak sie z ludziskami wozilismy przy tej nucie stare dobre czasy XD nigdy nie zapomnę .... pozdrawiam

  • keith murray is so sick!!! damn he can rhyme!! i love his joints!! real hip-hop never dies

  • prodigy used this hook against him over Pun's You Aint A Killer beat.

"it be like that sometimes, cause i cant control the 9/running up from behind/my shit jumping in my hand cause i bust mine/hope to see your ass 1 more time/& chew ur ass in rhyme/then kill u cause the streets is mine.....
