I must say as the mother of a two year old autistic boy that I am shocked by this. I can honestly say that I had at least 5 ultrasounds during my pregnancy and I am always searching for reasons as to why my son is autistic. This is really something that must be addressed ASAP by the CDC. Thanks for the info.
The articles you have on your website are good ones...please add a few about the vaccine injury topic. The sites w(dot) medical voices (dot) com and w (dot) drtenpenny (dot) com will give you plenty of resources. Ultrasound setting up vlunerabilities to brain/ nervous system damage by vaccines is a liklihood. No studies being done...conveniently, so the industry can claim 'no proof'.
Ultrasound is used in physical therapy to change tissues on the cellular level therapeutically...changing developing fetal tissue randomly is definitely not therapeutic. Women are deceived about the value of this technology...it is probably setting up succeptibilities to all sorts of diseases.
Very interesting. I didn't know the potential power of the ultrasound machine was approved to increase in 1993. I'm also wondering how much of an increase in 1st trimester ultrasound we are seeing compared to 15 years ago. My OB routinely scans at about 8 weeks gestation. I have one child with Asperger syndrome and another with undiagnosed neurological problems.
@smdryad God Bless i pray you always have the strength you need to endure, i know it's hard at times...i have been reading & researching this subject for years now and i'm amazed that the ultrasound is never brought up in any conversation concerning any neurological problems in so many children now a days? My clients have a minimum of 3 & some up to 7 during a uneventful pregnancy most not med necessary...my gut tells me there is something here to consider, thanks for posting
It is amazing the no one would consider X-raying a pregnant women, but think nothing of sending high frequency sound energy pulses (ultasound) into a fetus without expecting any negative consequences.
The only one judging here is you and thats massage therapist, prenatal/postpartum, also a labor support doula, over ten yrs of therapeutic massage and prenatal education. I have a very direct link to this situation for you to assume otherwise is completely unfair you have no idea my connections/exp concerning this matter. Im guessing here you did not read the articles you couldnt bear to hear me talk about
about im not saying ultrasound causes autism, how the hell could I know that but if you were better informed and did some research you will find that it could be a possible factor. I believe it is worth discussing. Do you even know what is happening to the fetus while undergoing ultrasound? Its not abt agree or disagree its abt being informed.
And as far as the numbers being the same as today, just that all those children back then were being misdiagnosed, that makes no sense. If that were the case they would have needed to pass the Ed for All Handicapped Children Act long before 1975. Oh PS you dont need to be a meteorologist to talk about the rain now do ya?
well, i have autism myself and as such i have studied it for the past 24 years of my life (oddly enough i started as soon as autism developed in my brain)
anyway, psycologists who have had years of training and direct contact with a variety of mental differences and even they cant be sure about someone even having autism, as opposed to a combination of other differences, nor do they know the cause, other then that its most likely genetic (with a marginal input from other sources AT BEST)
anyway, if psychologists can not know (trust me ultrasonic was clearly stated NOT to be a cause by all the psycologists i met) who the hell are you to assume there is?
again, you have not studied psychology (to a sufficient degree anyway), nor are you aware of the working of an ultrasound, as you claim so youreself anyway
about the special ed school: as i said i have autism and i could function well enough in regular school, even though i was tested at a special ed school
oh and special government for the dissabled/less fortunate didnt come about untill after world war 2 and even then only the severest cases were helped first
also autism wasnt properly diagnosable untill about 20 years ago
Good God you are so negative and angry, relax and breathe!!! let me be clear again I am sharing information thats all, a possible connection,I didn't write the articles, I myself am not saying anything more than read the articles you don't have to agree, we all have a right to have an opinion you certainly have yours and you should.
I saw a news report about the drastic increase of autism and the word ultrasound came into my mind very strongly -reason I typed autism and ultrasound into search. interesting
i just can't believe that no one talks about the possible connection? the average is up to 5 ultrasounds per pregnancy, did you read the articles i talk about?
it didnt occure to you you found a link because you were looking specifically for it?
seriously, how stupid are you?
why dont you do some proper research before actually drawing conclusions?
like looking for psychological sites on autism...
i know wikipedia has a page dedicated to it which is fairly accurate, even though some of the symptoms do not apply to all (mainly as autism is a very wide spectrum and occasionally associated with other diffrences)
but perhaps youre easily offended and you dont know how to refute what i say, so you attack my person, rather than my message
anyway, dont see how you can call this open minded, seeing you block my arguements from the start, let alone a discussion as you dont even TRY and refute/agree with my statements
who started off attacking who? OK not the point sounds like you have not read the articles i'm speaking about, there is nothing to discuss unless you read the articles i'm just sharing information i'm not looking for an argument.
I appreciate yourpregnancy keeping an eye out, no matter the outcome. Fluoride can be pegged for osteoporiasis and maybe ADHD, but her correlation is as good as any for autism; since the oh-so popular ultrsound advent is recent. Thanks, yourpregnancy, I'm heading to check out the rest...
To date, I've only read of one study that didn't show a negative impact on pregnancy from ultrasound, but since the women were warned that the waves might be harmful, the study was more than likely tainted. All other studies have shown ultrasounds increase miscarriage rate, and results in the children having lower IQ and delayed development. Usually, when a doctor tells you that something has been proven safe, he's just repeating something he was told.
I want to know where the old statistics came from. I wasn't part of those statistics 14 years ago because I wasn't diagnosed until I was an adult. I think much of the increase in autism rates is due to increased diagnosis. Particularly with the inclusion of Aspergers in the DSM in 1994. Unless we know how the old and new statistics are derived, we can't make any meaningful use of them.
the statistics are from the center for disease control. i'm not saying ultrasound is the end all be all for ASD, i believe there are many contributing factors involved. this is about a possible link that no one seems to be talking about. i just found out that in 2006 senator pinnochio from n.j. passed a bill to look into the connection between ultrasound and autism. i'm curious if you read the three articles i mention on my web site? i think this is bigger then just an increase in diagnosis.
I still would want to know how the old and new statistics were derived. To quote suspected autistic Mark Twain "There are lies, damn lies, and statistics".
well thank God Mark Twain wasn't around when they were all trying to decide if the world was flat or round he might of set us back years with that negative thinking..open up purple i'm looking at a bigger picture here, get past the stats i'm more questioning unnecessary technology being used in pregnancy and the unreaserched effects...still sounds to me that you haven't read the articles i'm referring to.
No I haven't read the articles. I am simply questioning the validity of autism statistics. I am not saying that ultra sound isn't a factor, but I am also not saying that it is.
Though super high constant ultrasound causes some mice neurons to migrate improperly, there is no evidence of harm from the levels used in humans. It can be extremely important in diagnosing diseases that are deadly to mom, baby, or both. There's nothing wrong with doing more studies-- but right now ultrasound seems to be a really good thing.
Let's follow the 'money trail' to yet another FDA 'oversight'....????....how come people aren't talking abou this possible link between ultrasounds & autism?? Great video!

i could only bare to watch 1.30 mins of youre balony
the first question that came to mind is: how does being a massagist (however you spell it) qualify you to judge autism and ultrasound?
considering you have no direct link to the workings of either ...
anyway, autism wasnt diagnosed untill the 1930s, an official checklist wasnt made untill the mid 1990s
hence why there were so few diagnoses 20 years ago, compared to now
