I wonder if it was banned from Nickelodeon because of its treatment of the subject matter, or because Senator Prevert said "damn bureaucrat."

Still, the words "hell" and "damn" were used sparingly on Nickelodeon even in those days, particularly on The Tomorrow People and The Third Eye.

It was never banned here in Canada. I remember seeing this episode on ASN (a station based out of Halifax, N.S.) when I was 11 and 12.

@MatthewtheY I remember seeing on ASN, too. but there was the Divorce episode that was banned here in Canada...but I think YTV did manage to sneak that one on their channel.

@wardragonprime It was *this* particular episode that only aired once (actually, twice, since YCDTOTV aired twice a day). After it aired, despite Vanessa and Adam's "disclaimer" about the show being in fun, it still was a bit too sensitive a subject. Actually the top brass at YCDTOTV didn't think it even aired in the US at all.
