Yeh, that... How are you flying the airplane, pouring drinks and filming at the same time? cracks me up too! Any old way... that's a pretty cool clip. I was pleasantly surprised.
@beergut111 I never fail to find amusement provided by armchair pilot geniuses such as yourself. It is clearly obvious that the camera was placed on top of the glareshield. I love all of the haters that post comments on the Youtube aircraft vids. What's the real underlying issue(s)? Maybe jealousy perhaps? I think that would be a good bet! LOL!
I absolutely love the sounds of his video during the takeoff of this plane as well as the view from the cockpit. I commented on this video before, but I couldn't help but to post again about it. Fantastic video once again!
I so envy your job, I take off from this airport all the time because I live in Beaumont,TX, and Houston is the hub to take off from. What a unique perspective, I am usually praying while the plane takes off so I miss some of the views, Ha Ha! Love this, Michele.
Great posting of a classic Learjet takeoff, thanks for posting. I spend a lot of time at the Garrett Aviation Standard Aero facility (KIAH) they do outstanding engine work if you ever need them. I will vouch for them 100% when it comes to TFE731 work scheduled and unscheduled.
I absolutely love this video! I have always liked the view from the cockpit during takeoff. You did a superb job on the recording of this video! The view of going over the city while the plane either banked or rolled was awesome! Once again, superb job! I also liked the communications between the pilot and ATC.
@MMAC0RE It doesn't matter - sergioalonzo never flew as a pilot of any aircraft. No one that stupid could possibly make it through even the first day of ground school. "Mahave" desert? Instructor crashing due to downdraft? Please...
pretty spectacular view out that windscreen.............and love the "Computer Config. Callouts" before TO. gotta love "Hal" reminding us, "Aircraft Set for TO, or: "Ding, Ding, Ding, DIng, Flaps, Flaps! ( or whatever config. conflict might be present)
Gorgeous view of a LearJet takeoff...sometimes in my just using the mouseclick..I sometimes feel as if I'm inside the cockpit myself...love the ATC-pilot radio too.....such videos just like this-ese...are a must for ANY flying enthusiasts...and whoever FIRST came up with the wonderful idea of making these such videos since the very first time..they ought to be awarded with more Emmy's than anyone else imaginable~~!!
if i am not wrong the center line stripes are 30m long and it seems from the video that at v1 it takes about 0.5sec to pass them 30/0.5=60m/s=216km/h=117kts
always my dream to have learn to fly!!!! i put only 12 hours and then my instructor crashed in majave desert C.A. He said a down draft was the cause. To be a learjet pilot was my dream.
@beeroosterm Hey, just saw my mistakes. You have to be about 16 years of age and come from a broken home. Punks like you have nothing better to do. Go smoke your buddy's ass crack.
@sergioalonzo You saw your mistakes AFTER you posted them - and perhaps after I pointed them out to you. Your attitude will get you and others hurt/killed if transferred to piloting. A good pilot (20 years for me) checks things BEFORE they can become an issue. Your poor spelling/grammar and angry response to my comment is indicative of your maturity - which is to say that of an 8th grader.
Nice one Owen!! Hope I can do the same soon!! Looks awesome!!!
That's quick!!!

so how are you monitoring the power setting and airspeed for those callouts and operating the video camera at the same time?
