  • Learn about your heritage and Save your culture and race before it dies out people...you wont get it back. Educate the youth and shape your community. It is what every human should do no matter what skin colour or language they speak :)

  • they are 100% INBREAD

  • @riddlore1 Its Inbred* not "inbread". Seems like your the inbred one. Take your head out of your ass and stop the ignorance.

  • Call him Canadian what the hell does he wont to be called.

  • TOO mUCH DRUG AND ALCOHOL but thankfully most inuits are hardly drinking its better for most of the nunavut towns to be forbidden to bring alcohol in the town like kugaaruk it got better ever since alcohol started getting forbidden here....and not much suicide has happened anymore but another problem is cigerretes lol now i wonder how to really prevent them from young ppl from smoking obviously the advertisment on cigerretes aren't working that much.

  • @HeartsInMyMind like a pack of cigarette says "cigarettes leave you breathless tobacco use causes crippling, often fatal lung diseases such as emphysema" ppl ignore them there should be a commercials of quiting cigarettes more often on tv that way they can get the message

  • problems problems umm i think the problems are:

Alcohol, Drugs and Sex because those are the 3 main problems in my area thats fursur and also jealousy. when something good happens to a family, there is always going to be rumors going around about the family that has something that the others don't or not the family but 1 member of the family

  • wow, anyone else noticing that these people were uncorrupted by society before tv, internet and all the rest of media had arrived? now it seems like they are influenced by loser gangs, and terrible indie rap...kind of like giving kids a gun and saying "it's time to social genocide yourselves...catch up with the rest of the first nations already corrupted"

  • 2:52 I'VE BEEN THERE! MY MOM TOOK A PICTURE OF ME WHEN I WAS 2! NEAR THE END OF THE HALLWAY!

  • maybe some inuits are so deppressed because theres nothing to do. some inuits are so spiritual and faithfull. i dont see how you could survive in a place like that if your not close with your tribe. my mom gets really depressed during the winter, but i feel more connected with my spirtiual side when its snowing. you got to find out whats making feel down and fix it. suicide and suffering arent your only options. if you just cant take it, move to a place with things that make you happy

  • thenameless86, I didn't mean that as an insult, I have nothing against inuit people but forgive my ignorance for having never met an inuit person.

  • Detroit Redwings ROCK!!

  • Keep up the good work! :)

  • you guys keep up the good work up there

  • i love Arctic Bay!!!

  • They're right... Don't call us Eskimos.

  • I've never met an eskimo/inuit person :( ..I wanna meet one....I want to ask, are inuit women attractive?

  • fucking racist, our women are much more real than your fucking barbies...

  • Mmmmmm.....raw dead seal. Who wouldn't love that? In fact, I'm getting hungry right now for a raw dead seal parmigiana hero.

  • no we Inuit are not asians lol

  • Yes, Inuits are genetically Asians.

  • The Inuit and all other Aboriginal peoples, came to North America via the Bering Strait from Asia. A land mass covered this area, known as Beringia. So although you do not consider yourself "Asian", your genetic makeup is most closely related to Asians. The first native peoples came into the New World from Asia...

  • correct

  • are inuits asians?

  • nope not all

  • Yes, Inuits are genetically Asians.

  • Not really. The Inuits and all Aboriginal people came to the new world from Asia, (Bering Strait) but that was nearly 10-15 thousand years ago. There are many physical and genetic similarities with Aboriginal people and Asians, specifically Mongolians and certain Chinese and Indian tribes but...if anything I'm sure they consider themselves North American, Canadian/American, etc.

  • I too hope that their suicide prevention video comes to life. The video is very sad. I am glad that CBC decided to do a documentary and post it on youtube.

This seems to be a much overlooked region and is on the back of many people's minds. Maybe after this, they can receive the much needed grants to fund their projects, which in turn can foster students' interest in technology, video editing (as they already have an interest). This can open up a new business sector in Nunavut.

  • I can talk Greenlandic, EastGreenlandic,English, Danish and Norwegian.... We can learn language easy....

  • ah-man! I know this guy, Don! Hes awesome! the music video is cactchy !

    I like!

  • yo guys check out the eskimo guy on youtube, hilarious comedy going on, hes inuk too. so am i.

  • I talk... Greenlandic / Inuktitut, Danish, Swedish and Engish :P

  • It is amazing that these people can speak Inuktitut and English both very well.. Nice to know... I think it's boredom, which forces people to do bullshit like drugs and drinking and then comes suicidie.

  • so.. what does it mean by Inuit in their language??

inuit or inuitu sound familiar to my ears..

  • Inuit speak Inuktituk

  • thanks for the information, Kissing12Rose!

they speak Inuktituk. it sounds kind of familiar to me.

are there people(non-inuit) who study Inuktituk?

  • I don't know. In my home town I think only people who are inuit speak it, not many where I'm from lear inuktituk anymore, it's sad that they're losing their heritage

  • I am First Nations and we are not Native Americans. I kno that because I have been tought that u idiots

  • is arctic bay on baffin island?

  • have you noticed that when you observe the faces of native americans, from the south of the continent to the uppermost north of american continent, the more to the north ,the more they look like asians..so that inuits totally resemble asians with slanted eyes...that shows they came from china and surrounding areas (Bering strait ) thousands of years ago

  • They didn't come from China you fucking wierdo, how the fuck would they have come form China? The facts are proven that they came from Siberia, because the same people still live in there with similar cultures and similar language, the first shaman came from Siberia, open your eyes.

  • is this the way you always talk to the people ,even if people are wrong?!!, you are clearly showing that YOU are the fucking weirdo...idiot read my comment ,i said : "they came from china and SURROUNDING areas (Bering strait )" , look at the map idiot ,Bering strait is close to Siberia, also idiot when people are clearly resembling chinese people, they should have common roots, even if they are from Siberia...I won't reply because you are an idiot

  • All you guys making a remark so negatively, you don't sound any different or better than any of your critical words. If you were okay, you wouldn't say things like you just said. Come up North and live in our shoes before you judge, then maybe you will make sense and not sound like you have vodka flu.

  • Great!

  • im proud of you guys man, sean where ever you are your awesome for helping them out do this stuff!

  • thank you!

  • Hi!

i'm writing a project about social problems ( crimes, suicides, sexual assaults ..) in Nunavut. Is there anyway to contact the inuit group presented in this video?

  • We don't have contact information for the group. You could try contacting the school in Arctic Bay.

  • Tunersuit !

  • Best of both worlds... Western culture, technology, hip hop, and clubbing baby seals ! Did you catch the lyrics ? "When we go clubbing, we're having a part-ay."

  • he meant clubbin as in hangin out at the pubs...not clubbing the seals like ya thot...lmfao!

  • They were aware of, and purposefully and using a double meaning. They meant to have people like you, perhaps, missunderstand it; but the song is about hunting baby seals, or "clubbing" them. Listen closer.

  • So? Why everyone goes mad about them having their only source of fool? Seals are more important than chickens, cows, pigs, fish and all the species wiped out of the earth by 'the civilized' ?

  • I don't think they're doing that for baby seals, adult ones are what they hunt for FOOD, because like he said everything is really expensive up North so they mostly hunt for food when they can

  • thats totally kool!!

  • cool

  • people who critical are jealous and can't prove they are better, they just tell us how stupid they are, keep up the good work boys.. quyanamii. inuugata. ayungituit, beside they would die off in a minute they inter our land.

  • That is great! I like that you can speak your native language. I am an Inpuiat eskimo from Alaska and I don't my language only a few words. Good luck on your suicide prevention video.

  • Canadians are Americans...so are people from Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile, El Salvador...

    The continent is America

  • north americans and south americans not just "americans"

  • so are you american american,,,lmfao

  • From what I know, eskimo doesn't mean eaters of raw meat (depending on the language your speaking)...but its like calling a canadian an american, its still not proper

  • it does mean raw meat eaters...cree word

  • So like I said; depending on what language your speaking.

  • Neat idea... I hope their video about suicide prevention catches on... that seems to be a constant problem in native communities across all of North America, especially worse in areas where you don't even see the sun for a huge chunk of the year. Keep up the positive work!

  • I listen to your message and I like it!

Keep up the work and respect to you up north, from an Inuk from Paris France :)

  • LOL!

  • Excellent! I am an Alaskan Inupiaq Eskimo. We use the word Eskimo regularly. I love the video and told all my relatives! Keep up the good work! And I love that you can speak your language. My mom never taught me. I LOVE IT!

    Cindy

  • lol where can u go clubing ? LoL i wonder why inuit people rap!! its not them they should go hunting and stuff not rap!! the inuit people are gonna change they way of living and their gonna rap and theiur gonna lose thgeir culture its soo sad

  • so true brother! .... we shall kill RAP ...

  • you two are both ignorant fucks

  • lol i was joking ^^ (bad joke ...anyway) lol

  • yea i wonder the same except for me seeing white people trying to rap;)also just cause you see one or a few inuit trying to rap does not mean all inuit are trying to rap thanks for worrying about how inuit are losing there culture although were not going to.what is your culture?or did you have to steal or copy another race's culture?

  • this is a jump START! Im so glad that people TOOK the INITIATIVE to do this. I really do want Inuit in Nunavut to get BETTER. Make their lives easier, happier. But the Key thing is - is to WRITE ABOUT IT! Write it down on paper. Thats the only way that people get to really express themselves. After writing about it, I Guarentee that people are going to feel alot better about themselves. :) I know Inuit can make it. Its up to " Us ". Make a difference.

  • this video is cool...i feel sorry for them.

  • i feel sorry for all the crack coke heroin....now thats whole lotta can of worms to talk about...

  • cool rapper

  • THis to sick i want innuit to have less suasides and these people ar ereally helpin others

  • This is amazing. These people 'just' introduced to video editing? Should be a interesting evolution of film making for the next decade. Can't wait to see more story's from them!
