  • it's strings and magnets ffs. As long as it stays in tune all is cool. Brass is sod all to do with it as is the fake worn vibe. I like my guitars because the wear was due to me hammering the crap out of them over a few decades. Probably different now, with this immeadiate demand of charisma and "respect". Hey-ho. Fingerstyle first and then theatricals and overpriced guitars that Joplin pissed on or whatever

  • Just remember. If you are a collecter of guitars you will NOT want one of these. Ever notice if you check prices of vintage strats the ones in more pristine better condition ALWAYS sells for more and has a higher price tag? What do you think these RELIC pieces of shit will be worth 30-50 years from now? If you bought an American deluxe and kept it in perfect shape it would definately outsell this piece of shit.Fender really has alot of balls charging a premium for beating the shit out of these!

  • What makes you stupid fuckers think that beating the shit out of a guitar makes it sound or play better in any way whatsoever? Gee, what's next? Take a hatchet to the fretboard and a grinder to the frets and then tack on an additional 3 grand? Do you really think when buyers pick one up they'll say...WOW! Dead frets and no tone! This guitar has a "VIBE"! It's just a gimmick to be able to sell the damaged parts laying around the plant for a grossly inflated price. FUCK YOU CHEAP ASSHOLES!!!

  • No relic guitar from Fender, Nash, or anyone else even compares to my relics! I build the lamborghini of relic guitars...My name is Kelton Swade and you can go to my website, just Google my name - find out why Vince Gill, Keith Urban, Johnny Hiland, Robben Ford and others play my guitars over anyone else in the world! Thanks!

  • Great guitar, but I will never understand the desire for "relic" distressed models. Why buy something new that looks so old? My Tele's a little beat because I play the damn thing!

  • I have a 52 American vintage, and I hated the standard wiring in it. It sounded too Strat like so I changed it to the vintage wiring and it uses 2 orange drops instead of 1. When I changed the wiring the Neck pickup has a more bassy sound ( a more vintage tone)

  • instead of doing worn out guitars they should improve the guitars for the player. Come on!

  • @bluesboyguitar

They already did. Many specs on these guitars are not vintage correct. Flatter radius, taller frets, modern wiring, compensated saddles, improved pickups. Small tweaks that make a huge difference. These guitars play and sound like a dream. If you do not like the relic treatment - there are NOS designs as well.

  • @Empyrean1401

    thanks for the info ayt

  • @dreadphingsk8

well fender originally named it a 'broadcaster' but they were sued (idk by who) and a couple guitars were made without that written on the headstock, there was only fender hence 'no' caster before it was renamed 'tele'caster.this is just a rough idea of what happened

    Proud Tele owner. :')

  • @MrFrayy They Were Sued By Gretsch, They Had A Drum Called "The Broadcaster."

  • Gretsch was the company, they were already producing "Broadcaster" line of drums.

  • A carbon fiber neck with holes/open space between the frets. That's what you said. Your fingers never touching the ground. The holy neck model. Or bottomless neck or pit model. Ain't that what you said.

  • what is the difference between telecaster and nocaster?

  • When they first released the tele, Fender called it the 'broadcaster', but another company had a bass out with a similar name so they had to change it.

There was a short period in-between names when it was released with no product name (ie just says 'Fender' on the head) - models released in this period have come to be known as the 'Fender Nocaster' reflecting this - but it was never an actual product name.

So...their Telecasters without the word 'Telecaster' on them!

  • Actually it was a drum kit by Gretch, not a Bass.

  • @TheMadMusicMan an honest mistake

  • Would have been nice if he'd tuned the thing.

  • It would be great if Fender would make the Twisted Tele + hot Broadcaster pup set available as an after market item. They would sell them by the truckload, IMHO.

  • Funny...

  • a fatter neck sometimes lets you think more about what you're playing rather than just noodling around

you still noodle but you are more conscious and guiding yourself in what you play is what i have experienced

  • Indeed. That's why I like Gibsons and Teles :)

  • That is why Jerry Garcia used guitars with thick necks and high action guitars.

  • I wish Fender made a more affordable regular production Tele with that fat Nocaster neck.

I Love the size of the Nocaster neck.

  • Check out the allparts TMO-Fat (that's unfinished). You can find them on ebay.

  • Sounds great even when it's a little out of tune.

  • Nice tone, I like those fat necks. I have an old strat, 70s, with a pretty thick neck. It's sweet.
