  • oh dear he looks thin in this one... like having some kinda anorexia. Great songs, though. Wish I could've been there, but unfortunately I was born 15 years later :D

  • @MasaBorgir He just got over his alcohol addiction; and checked out of the mental institute he based this album on.

  • How dare you compare Alice Cooper and KISS to Tokio Hotel... Tokio Hotel isn't even shock rock... Dumbass.

  • Fellas, fellas, as Mick Jagger said at Altamont, "People,People, what are we fighting for?" In the late seventies and early 1980s Alice Cooper was one of 200 bands that employed musicans, used violonists, orchestras and told some of the greatest stories told. So don't disparage each other while you debate who is good or bad from back then. Just be grateful our musical tastes were stablished a long time ago before this Illuminati-driven noise called rap.

From the Inside one of my top 25 favs

  • ok ok..i'll cool down :)

  • @Ciaresayton OMG! Rap HAS to be an Illuminati scheme! So right!

  • After watching this video, it's really hard to believe he is still alive now.He looks so worn out and sounds so tired here.Good thing he straightened himself out!

  • this was wicked! we're no where even close to this, but we did a hip-hop version of the Quiet Room based on the book, might like if you liked the subject, just check "quiet room a-slam"

    cheers

  • On his Theatre of Death tour he played 'From the Inside' and 'Nurse Rozetta' Was awesome!

  • seriously dont think this is a 1978 performance

  • i wish alice would play the quiet room nowdays. i'd love to hear him sing this when he wasm't into the alcohol

  • theactungtree, Your comments show that you have the brain of a flea

  • and your comment shows that youre just another dipshit pussy ass SQUARE boring alice cooper groupie...alice cooper makes music for retarded people & 16 year old metal kids...youre like 30 right?..grow up man

  • You do realize thats just your opinion, and that if you dont like Alice Cooper, i dont see the gun being held to your head. If you hadn't have made an ass out of yourself then i wouldn't call you a fucking dick. But you are you worthless pathetic piece of human garbage. Nobody gives a flyin' fuck about what your 2 cents, thanks so fucking much for wasting my time and yours you fucking cunt.

  • ummm....ok.....peace

  • @ theachtungtree

I don't see how you can't realize the musical talent of Alice Cooper. It's your opinion, but regardless of it, his onstage charisma transformed rock n' roll, and practically invented Shock Rock, which later inspired so many bands that came after. Musically, songs like Billion Dollar Babies, for example, are very creative and display great guitar work and drums. Lyrics, definitely original, especially for the time. Hell even Bob Dylan said Alice Cooper was underrated.

  • dylan praises even cher...MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE & every shitty band alive as well....so thats not relevant & Shock Rock its retarded...hate it...then the 80s came and he helped to worsen up things....thank god for british rock & alt music....shitheads like cooper & kiss almost destroyed rock music & what guys like dylan & neil young cemented through the years....anyway...youre right..its my opinion....whatever

  • Alt music? Seriously? That's small part of rock in general. Shock Rock transformed th genre, added additional artistry to it. Now KISS is rock n roll, Alice Cooper I can understand why not everyone would be into him, but KISS is definitely one of the greatest ever. Don't just ask me, ask any Music/Guitar/Rock publication. I definitely think you'd be in the minority there, but that's your opinion like I said.

  • kiss made shitload of bad albums...even that disco shit thing they released...just as cooper they fucked up the who's legacy....neil young's legacy....which by the way alt rock revived in some sense neil's path on rock & roll....just ask him....and gimme a break....music publication?...yeah...kiss is important in rock music according to rolling stone or metal hammer....as much as papa roach does too....fucker

  • Hmm, you're an angry individual aren't you? Someone disagrees with you and you call them a fucker. You are pathetic. You don't even speak properly. Anyway. You give credibility to Dylan, and then take it away. The Who are definitely legends, no argument there, as is Neil Young. However to say that Cooper and Kiss didn't play an important part is biased and closed-minded. I don't like Elvis Presley, but I appreciate his influence. Why wouldn't Rolling Stone or Metal Hammer know their stuff?

  • kiss & cooper FUCKED UP what those amazing legends did for us....they buried huge deal of amazing depth music....cousing what today is known as shit bands like tokyo hotel & slipt knot....they actually paved their way....wow...thanks a lot (sarcasm)

  • Again. Just because you are a simple-minded dumbass, you go on insulting me. Look, you can call me whatever you want, but that doesn't change that fact that you are dead wrong, and you seriously fail in making your weak ass point. You apparently take it personal that I disagree with you, so you call me an asshole. Geez, you're just the load your mom should have swallowed. How am I the poser?

  • and green day, linkin park, britney spears and tokyo hotel....music publications love em too....you knew that?...asshole....doesnt mean a thing....."publications"...i guess yo umeassure their quality by reding polls but without listening to their "disco-drag" masterpieces....whatever you say mtv kid

  • I hate MTV, and am a real musician, I probably know more about the history of rock n roll than you do. Hell, I even took a class on it last semester. Polls aren't the only measure of determining how good a song is, especially not when you can analyze the music yourself. However, the fact that Stairway to Heaven is the most requested song in radio history helps make the case that it is definitely one of the greatest songs of all time. Now shut up and stop cussing to compensate for your weak case

  • wrong...radio stuff dont meassure how good is a song......why dont you stick your "degree on musicianship" up on your shallow poser ass.....robert plant certainly doesnt agree with that....tim buckley's song to a siren.....betetr than most cooper songs....but according to you....cooper is more rich...alas...greater.....youre just an arrogant poser

  • I'm the one that can actually speak intelligently, and there is a big difference between those that play music, and those that merely listen to it. There's also a big difference between those educated in a subject, and those who aren't whose emotions and personal taste keep them closed-minded. Finally, what makes the Rolling Stones one of the best bands of all time? Theire music, their lyrics, their hits, and the universal appeal to several different cultures and generations. Popularity matters

  • not...tim buckley & miles davis are far better than a heck lot of multi million dollar acts back in the 60s....i dont care if the stones gained millions of ticket sales...is that simple....yes populatity matters but according to you what makes zep a great band is that they had the most played song on the radio...so.who cares?...your degree on music says that? keep listenin marilyn manson on your profile....doesnt matter how much you study music as long as yoru listening to that piece of shit

  • Marilyn Manson is on my profile? Where? I like some of his music, but don't think he's on there. Anyway, I like the same music you do, the Stones, Clapton, U2, Led Zeppelin, Velvet Underground, the Byrds. I am pretty diverse though, and I like other bands like Marilyn Manson, Slipknot or My Chemical Romance. Why don't you? You see, I have a reason for my claims. For any claim I make, I also explain it.

  • and yep...i like the stones....so i dont give a shit about cooper...is that a sin?

  • Finally, it's not a sin if you don't like Cooper, hell I love the stones to, but you don't have to be a dick towards people with different interests. I HATE rap, but I have friends that listen to it, I don't hate them because they like something I don't.

  • This quiet place it aint so new to me this haunted atmosphere has heard so many screams my home from home my twilight zone my strangest dream my confidant I have confessed my life the quiet room knows more about me than my wife!

  • You sound like both a die-hard Cooper fan AND a Jew. I thought I was the only one.

  • wish someone would post the full song

  • wonderful job...

deserved many applause for this performance...

    It was simply outstanding..

tks for sharing this with us

    five stars

  • Hey! many thanks leonardo!

and thanks for the stars :)

    see you!

  • Alice know s where he s singing about..respect

  • this is from a great album that appearently no one listened to, some real pathos here, cooper is a sensative cat and a survivor, its a tough combination to pull off.

  • From The Inside is an amazing album, agreed. I once owned the gate fold sleeve version of it, where you open the door to the quiet room and Alice is in there in his straight jacket. "Millie and Billy" is another particular ballad on the LP that drips genius.

  • respeta a uno de los mejores musicos de la historia retrasado...

  • trrible permormance for a slow ballad like "i never cry"

  • Poor Alice. He was bad shape during the Madhouse rocks tour. Just listen his voice and what about his looks. Like a slim zombie.

  • supposed 2 look that way. Makes him more scary. Works too. lol

  • He only looked that way because of his severe alcoholism before he went into treatment. The alcohol was killing him.

  • I'm going trick or treating with Alice this Halloween and I'm taking the kids, they're going to love it ! (they better love it)

  • stoned at his best.

  • Awesome...and he looks totally hot!! He's never failed to thrill me!!

  • i'll thrill you babe, just tell me.

  • ...But Ive never seen Alice looking more dangerous than on that tour!

The band look a bit geekey though.

Love this show despite the vocals that are spoken instead of sung and the muffled guitar.

    Great scary performance!

    Tc

  • The tour had awful vocals, IMHO, he wasn't in good health.

  • the quite room......................

  • the best next to kiss

  • I agree, he paved the way for so many!

  • Alice Cooper is and has always has been a theatrical genius. He paved the way for the Dolls, Kiss, Bowie, Iggy, WASP, Manson, Slipknot and yes, Ozzy! Thanks for posting this!

  • So true, so true...

Alice is the one and only. Wonder why he does¨n't get the recognision he deserves.

  • being not so recognized makes him the best.

  • True. But he deserve som cred for all of his work...

  • @AngelGoneInsane Bob Dylan was once asked in a televised interview " Who is you fovorite song writer?" His response " Alice Cooper" - I think that pretty much says it all!

  • @LEClarke

yep, but he's still better than all of them combined!

  • No pude ir a verlo cuándo vino...si me habré perdido un concierto excelente...buej...muy lindos temas, me encanta Alice Cooper.

    Saludos.

  • fuck you chink ass lickers.

  • Alice el mejor showman que visito nuestro pais.

  • Alice has a well-known alcohol problem and he has always been the first to admit it. And this was well before rehab became "trendy" and a part of every celeb's life. Never a big drug guy.

  • The lyrics were by Bernie Taupin, who also wrote lyrics for Elton John. The album was inspired by his stay in rehab. imho it's one of the most original and cheeky albums in classic rock.

  • you see Alice gives you the real thing - living each nightmare - not just a show - thank goodness he lived through this!

  • Of course he looks bad, after all those years of alcohol abuse who wouldn't (Keith Richards)..,I think his treatment stay inspired some of his better lyrics

  • Probably Alice's best ever performance to make it onto general release - DEVINE!

  • I don't know why fans like this era of Cooper. I'm a big Coop fan..and I can't stand the videos from these couple of years. He looks horrible. Sounds horrible and I'm pretty sure Alice hates this era as well.

  • true,,,,,

  • i never cry sounds alot better on here than quiet room, but i love alice. its like he was on drugs lol but this was after he sobered up?! :p thanks for posting this.

  • That's only a rumor and never been proven true.

  • Of course it's true, Nelson was his supplier!

  • I had this full show on vhs years ago.The tape went rank :/ unfortunately,I wonder if its available on dvd or dl anywhere? Btw mt312006 I loved his voice on this show.Like alice said himself in the interviews at the end of the tape he was more 'severe' than ever on this tour.

  • Hi my dear!Do you know who were the members of the band in that tour?

  • Band members on this particular show where Whitey Glan drums,Davey Johnstone guitar,Steve Hunter guitar,Prakash John bass and Fred Mandel on keyboards.

  • Thanks a lot for your information.I hope to find this complete video. All the best.

  • yes great album...but his voice sounds like ass live on this tour. Why wasnt he singing ?...why just talking the lyrics out?...lace and whiskey was a cooler album in my opinion..

  • Take a look at him from 77 and then look at him in 78.... it's like he died and turned into a zombie...

  • From The Inside is Alice's best album ever!! Great video!!!

  • oye q alucinaaante, tienes mas d alice en esa epoca o del killwer tour??? d ptm webon!
