aside from all the contradictions and irony that devo puts into there concepts, I'm curious as to whether they are rallying for using freedom of choice as a way to progress & not keep spinning in circles, or are they saying the idea of freedom is another pathetic social construct that will distract humanity from spiraling towards shit? (i would guess the latter) all things aside however, devo is devo, it never fails to keep me fascinated by their ambition & creative energy however dark it may be

I was there taking still photos for 2 days of the skateboarding parts. I worked for Skateboarder Magazine and was one of the photographers chosen to shot the stills for the magazine. A lot of work went into the filming the skate shots and Devo was really great to us all. I had a great time doing this and Devo was one of the first groups doing music videos back then. If you weren't around back then you don't realize what went into making these videos so you shouldn't be so critical of the video!
