at 4.07 she actually broke her neck ..she was meant to have taken the crown off her head..but forgot the impact of the crown on her head when it hit the water ripped her neck back.wards.she was in hospital for 6 months after that scene

Esther Williams was not just an MGM superstar, but she was a genre unto herself. Nobody else did this at the time, just like Sonja Henie on the ice, Esther combined music with swimming. She single handedly invented syncronised swimming as a result, before Esther, it was known as water ballet. Dearest Esther we all love you very much and god bless for 2010. XXXXXXXXXX
