I get more and more worried each day that Bioware is building SWTOR to be a single player game instead of an MMO. They keep building it to be linear it seems. Like saying "Chapter 1" and having unique companions and so forth. I'm really hoping this isn't a heavily instanced game or it will ruin the experience, just like how Guild Wars sucked because it was so heavily instanced. Only time will tell I guess.

@Soulece Guild wars wasn't a bad game at all and many people agreed on that. Could it have been better? Yes, but it was by no means a failure as an mmo.

in my opinion thats one of the worst designed desert zones in mmo genre. Even some of the older games are actually looking better....

So since we cant travel to other worlds without having a ship, does that mean we cant play with our guilds in the beginning?

@Flop3z You will be able to play with your guild that start on the SAME origin planet. There are two classes per origin planet. IA+BH=Nal Hutta, SI+SW=Korriban, JK+JC=Tython, Smug+Troop= Ord Mantell. So unless you are the only nonforce/force user in your guild, you will not play alone!

@SWTORTheDark ALSO, you can pay to shuttle to other planets before you obtain your personal starship. it will not cost credits to transit back to your starter planet, or transit to inter-quest locations i believe.

Does anyone know if it's going to be an open game? For example, you're way too low of a level to go to a certain place/planet, but you still can anyway? Or will it prevent you from doing so?

@UrigellaGaming You are restricted to your home-world until you unlock your ship, after unlocking your ship, you have the ability to travel WHERE EVER you would like. Contrary to popular belief, the game is COMPLETELY open after unlocking your ship.
