  • Wow, just wow. I've got to learn how to use Sony Vegas. Windows Media Maker is easy to use and all but its limited to what it can do.

  • 1) How did you get it that well done?

    2) Where did you get that much footage when the film isn't on DVD yet?

    3) Where can i get the sound at the end 1:38-1:40?

    4) What was the Action Music through the montage part?

    5) How did you do the text? (i can see that it isn't the stuff from the actual trailers)

  • Wow amazing quality! =)

  • Thank you! (with one "k" this time ; ) .)

  • wow this is sick man!

  • Thank you!

  • ya man, where did you get all of the new footage from?

  • A decent amount of the newer clips were from the ShoWest Footage that was only online for a few days before Michael Bay and Paramount decided to take it down.

  • That was awesome man

  • Thanks!

  • Sick!

  • Thank you!

  • GREATTT!!! :D

  • Thanks!

  • fantastic! up until the part when he looks into the rock thing i was like "this feels similar" then you twisted it, great work...loved the tv simulator in the beginning, 5/5

  • Thanks again! : )

The " this feels similar" effect is why I changed the song to "California Girls" in version 1, but others wanted to see a version with Linkin Park's "New Divide" still in that sequence.

I always wanted to see a Trailer Greenband interupted by an incoming transmission or other event.

  • hey i wasn't putting down the similar, you changed it right after the rock looking thing lol...and yeah that was very badass they should definitley do or have done that...you use sony vegas i assume? i just recently have started using that in my Avengers trailers and it's a great improvement from window smovie maker lol, great work yet again

  • Sony Vegas indeed, though the majority of my videos are older ones that were made with Windows Movie Maker that I re-uploaded when Youtube switched to HD.

  • ah yeah, when you do hd all you have to do is render and change the settings to all the hd stuff right?

  • Yep, simply change the project settings to HDV-720 and make sure the framerate is the same as the clips you use. If you use clips with differing framerates, choose the framerate of the majority of your footage. Then right click on the clips with different framerates, when they're on the timeline, and change the video properties from "smart resample" to "disable resample," which will get rid of motion ringing. : )

  • ah now that's a problem, some of the marvel movies frame rate is like 23.76 or something and then others are 25.00 and so on, just find the most common one?

  • Yes, set the most common one as the framerate for the whole project.

For ones that are not the same as the rate you selected, simply right-click on them (after they are dragged onto your video's timeline), select "properties," and then select "Disable Resample."

Try this on an action sequence that doesn't match the framerate of the project, and you will notice that all the edge ringing will be eliminated. : )

  • hm, what if the actual size of the video isn't all the same?

  • Ah, aspect ratios.

Once the clip is in the timeline, click on the "Pan/Crop" Button. With this tool you can either zoom in on Scope footage (Black Bars on the top and bottom) or crop the Flat footage (video that almost fills the whole 1280x720/16:9 frame size) using the "masking" feature.

I did this on my Superbowl Montage to make a few Flat commercials match the Scope aspect ratio used by the majority of the movie clips.

  • but doesn't that make the clips zoom in/ zoom out?

  • hey so can i change the aspect ratio on a video on windows movie maker?

  • Only between 4:3 and 16:9, and it stretches the video to fit rather than allowing you to adjust it freely.

  • oh ok then, but is there like a special button in where i can do that or something?

  • "Tools>Options>Advanced(tab)>Video Properties>Aspect Ratio> choose 4:3 or 16:9" It will only stretch to fit the size.

    : )

  • Woah. I think that was better than the original trailers. I'm pumped now!

  • Glad to hear it! : )

  • so sick

  • wow your editing is so phenomenal when you do trailers, keep this up 5/5 *faved* and offical.

  • Thank you! : )
