  • i'm russian lav is good but in aa version is bad tunguska and pantsir is better

  • what's the title of the song?

  • LEAKED BATTLEFIELD 3 FOOTAGE RIGHT HERE

  • @jvemPiRe14 Battlefield 3 is about the USMC not RCA...this video shows the LAV3 not LAV25 which is what the USMC uses.

  • Beats a Humvee or an open Duece and a half.

  • usa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 0:47 is that a howitzer mount???

  • I love this soundtrack! Sounds like "Survivor" ! What Royalty free editing soundtrack did you use? Is it Digital Juice? Where did you get this soundtrack from? Thanks.

  • what music is this?

  • Hell yeah, an LAV would smoke a Gavin.

  • How I hate the LAV25 Coyote, any Armourded soldier in the CF will agree to that.

  • essential vehicle in a modern beach invasion scenario

  • great video!!

  • can these things run with the bradlys of the US

  • @889900ism Well, depends what you mean. It's faster then a Bradley if it's speed. If you mean which is a better fighter, Bradley is also a Tank Destroyer, so it's most likely that the American M2/M3 Bradley would win that. Your never going to see this beat a T-72 or any Main Battle Tank for that matter, but the Bradley did it during Desert Storm. Of course, this could run away from a tank so easily...

  • LAV 3 and 2 will beat the styker any day plus we got a cannon not a 50cal

    (same goes for the

lav 25 it better then the stryker too)

  • Looks like alot more fun without ABS!

  • @ShadowtheRotarygod

    You mean traction control....

  • @Orthodoxcrusader NO I mean ABS. In the vid at 1:25 they show it skidding around without abs and stopping straight with it. Traction control isn't even mentioned in this video and for the record an 8 wheel vehicle really wouldn't need it.

  • @ShadowtheRotarygod

    Yes; obviously it was braking...

You're right; but why you think such wehicles don't have traction and general stability control?

Why not? It's the speeds of around 80kmph and over 10 tons...

  • @Orthodoxcrusader Traction control is for accelerating.ABS is not always better. That vehicle was forced to slide(1:26)no doubt.

  • Many are Swiss Piranhas and the Hummer looking ambulance and vehicle with observation turret really is a Swiss Army Eagle (by Mowag)

  • At 0.38 is not a Hummer but an Eagle Scout vehicle of the swiss army.

  • What's the name of that helicopter at 1:04? its fucking BIG

  • @WaiWu

looks like a Sikorsky CH-53E or some kind of variant...

  • @SuperColossal33 Ok, thank you very much

  • @SuperColossal33 its the sikorsky mh-53 pave low

  • @WaiWu superstalion

  • @WaiWu either a pave low or a sea dragon

  • Fucking SANG! LOL

  • Nice wheelie in the end;)

  • This is Mowag, Swiss made !!!

  • can Lav -25's the one that the marine corps uses is it completely amphibious?

  • i want one

  • new zealand has alot of them : )

  • I think it's great that the U.S. have bought these, as they have been great vehicles for many many years. It was funny that some parts of this video are almost identical to Mowag's (the original European inventor ) promotional videos lol.

If it works, it works, and there was no need for the U.S. to try to better the original.

  • Military technology is amazing, it is totally a new type of artform.

Too bad it's designed to kill people tho.

  • I sure wish I had me one of those things... No one would ever fuck with me again.

  • @lemob182

Join the Army. You too can spend your days in one of these.

  • @ lemob182... Ya get one of those beasts for rush hour traffic. " cut me off now!!!"

  • @ronoforntario... Hell yeah dude! I would be like "fuck this im off-roading to work!"

  • @lemob182 We'll offroad together and have the cops chase us. See how wins

  • @ronofontario... haha yeah dude. FUCK SHIT UP!!! XD

  • Hey a fellow canadian... hows it goin EH???

  • That 8 wheeler looks almost same as finnish made APC from patria.

Who has been copycating? Finns or ?

  • the 8 wheeler is based off of a GD 6 wheeler from the early 1970's

  • Made in London, Ontario, Canada

  • LAV`s Rocks.

  • Comment removed

  • @RoosterG33rs 0:35 is a Eagle, a light scout vehicel.

  • yeah it is... LAV=Light Armored Vehicle

  • Comment removed

  • you are under a common misconseption and no disrespect but a LAV just means it has armor that will stop some small arms fire for example in the military i was taught that a humvee is a LAV

  • A Light Armored Vehicle is a vehicle with light armor......It has nothing to do with the number of wheels..... Are you serious??

  • in canada it makes a big diference of how many wheels are on it

  • No.

  • u dont even live in canada

  • lol why would I need to to know that LAV stands for Light Armored Vehicle. I'm pretty sure it's universal.

  • canada builds some sick LAVS.... the usas stryker is a bigger cannon rip off of our LAVS... and a piece of shit.... the LAV 3 is a beast and in my opinion better then the m3a3 bradley.... sure it dont have tracks but wheels are much better for takin battle damage and being repaired in the field....

  • Love to have one for highway driving. "Cut me off will ya? "

  • i want one!

  • The Coyote differs from the LAV-25 in that i has no amphibious capibilities, the CF don't need it as much as the marines do, the Propps were replaced with fuel tanks. There are a few other smaller differences.

  • the LAV 3 needs to be higher off the ground and equipped with a V shaped hull, the 25mm cannon is sufficient for an APC or AFV, But they should also make a variant of the LAV strictly for troop transport, no cannon = more troops. instead of a 25mm turret, replace it with a .50 cal or MK19, much like the stryker but higher of the ground and with a V shaped hull

  • The CV90 is a filler in between the leo's and the LAV's. The Combat Vehicle 90 looks freaking awesome. Can't wait till i'm 18 and in the regulars.

  • thats just awsome

  • even if we do get the CV90 we won't get rid of the LAV (not the LAV 25 anyways) because it's the worlds only MMES which the CV90 cannot support that system and the LAV 25 is much improved than the 3

  • canada doesnt use the lav25, and lav 3 is the newest from GD/GM Defence

  • te LAV 25 is the coyote but set up to carry troops

  • There new name is General Dynamics Land System Canada (GDLS-C) and the Canadian version of the LAV2.5 is called the Coyote

    P.S, Nice vid or post

  • Canada use the LAV-25 called LAV-Coyote is a reconnaissance wheeled vehicle which use a 10 m telescoping mast with radar and day/night camera. The LAV-Coyote is a very hight tech vehicle but the LAV-25 have some poor off-road capacity and is not the ideal vehicle for reconnaissance. The Coyote will be retried between 2011-2014.

  • The Canadian Forces also use a LAV-25 variant called Bison which supposed to be a reservist vehicle but the canadian forces use them for regular land force command due easy to use and easy to modified for different role such ambulance to ASCC.

  • The Bison is the original LAV1, it uses a different engine (Detroit Diesel 6V53T) and minimal electronics. It is also used as a Mobile Repair vehicle for EME.

There is also the newest LAV3 which is superior to everything listed, and more superior than anything the Americans use.

  • The LAV-III is a vehicle for asymmetric warfare such during a urban operation , the vehicle didn't meet the exigence of many military force such in Canada. The only reason why Canada had bought this vehicle is for the rapid deployment with Hercule C-130 around the world and also is a cheaper vehicle than the tracked CV90 for example.

Canada have a lot of problem in Afghanistan with mud, mud wall and other off-road problem which Taliban profit and make catastrophic ambush against CF.

  • The LAV-III is a good vehicle for asymmetric warfare but seriously not for conventional battlefield and this is for why today (May 26 2009) Peter Mackay had announced a expeditionary force of CV90, and maybe the LAV-H (heavy version of the current LAV-III).

Canada lost over 80 soldiers in Afghanistan due of the poor survivability of the LAV-III and the LAV-H have modified some problem such the a new hull with V-Hull and new ballistic protection, powerful engine and 35mm gun unlike now a 25mm.

  • I hope canada will bought only CV90 ,which on my opinion is the best close combat vehicle in the world.

  • haha XD didie

  • I love the eagle inserted into the vid. Now all we need is a few shots of Steven Colbert and we're set.

  • hahaha

  • Fabrication and final assembly of the vehicles is being shared among plants at Anniston, Alabama; Lima, Ohio; and London, Ontario. Parts and components for various syetms on board come from all over.

  • wtf is that 10 wheeled Mobile artillery vehicle? it looks awesome but wat is it??

  • something 2 fear is what it is!

  • OMG ROFLOL that is so fucking funny

  • funny yet true

  • MGS, Mobile Gun System I think you're refering too.

  • well, I do not understand why people keep the latest model (Stryker) so great ... it looks to be some kind of low quality version of similar European personal carriers

  • The Stryker is garbage anyways its more like a LAV 2.5 then a LAV 3. The Stryker has the narrower wheel base and less powerful engine that the LAV 2 has plus all the extra armour and armaments that the LAV 3 has. Thats what makes it get stuck so easily and so tippy. The LAV 3 we use up here in Canada is a different vehicle it has a far larger engine and a wider wheel base. The clips you see here of a LAV 3 going through mud missing wheels and crap, the American Stryker won't do that at all.

  • The US Stryker was intended as an "interim" vehicle to bridge the gap between what they have today and FCS. As such, the USA ensured this vehicle has a high degree of recapitalization. Almost every part on that Stryker can be "recycled" on other vehicles. The engine is the common engine used on trucks, as is the tranny and tires etc. It's logistically easier to sustain that way, and it also saves money. The Stryker is a stop-gap measure, nothing more.

  • I am sure what you say is the truth but do not remember ever seeing a Stryker stuck in Lewis. Personally the travesty is not able to fly a whole brigade to anywhere in the world in 4 days when no one ever did the math for how many planes would be dedicated to flying five brigades to the war zone. Slat armor does not allow for this and not enough dedicated planes for Strykers. At nleast the Marines are amphibious and we are not. Am sure Don Rumsfeld made a pile of cash in the markets

  • It's great because it fill a specific role which vehicles like the M1/M2 can't do well.

Try doing a convoy security mission with an M2?

How well does an M113 hold up against an IED?

The fills isn't intended for the slugfest against armor, but the police missions we have in places like Somalia, Liberia, Haiti, Iraq (today), Afghanistan........

  • My brother actually is in the marines and works on these! i didnt know they were so HUGE!!!!!

  • Has to be a fair size to carry a section/squad of infantry at least in the LAV 3's case, plus driver, gunner and commander.

  • excelente

  • canada its the best!

  • they make it seem like its a 90s sitcom starring armored vehicles

  • LOL i reckon haha

  • LAV 90210

  • A Single Air to Ground Misile from KA-50 or similar chopper will take this out...

  • So? one Hellfire from Apache can take any russian armor out of action.

  • and KA50 needs to get through a hornet's nest (which it won't) before it can fire it's anti armour missile.

  • Nothing is perfect take enough explosvies in the right configuration you can take out a MBT..might not destroy but throw a track and your mobility is gone. I build better armor you build a better warhead...game of cat and mouse..and it gos on and on and on.

  • argo on steroids lol

  • Thats a couple of canadian designs as well as the LAV-25 (25mm bushmaster chain gun), LAV-AT (Anti Tank) and then the stryker (LAV 3).

For the most part, frosty4700 is kinda right, the older LAV's are kinda rickety but... they do the job. They can roll with a couple wheels missing. Not so good against IED's but, they do well against some RPG's and most small arms fire. As for the whole "log across the road" thing... they're pretty dam good off-road and a TREE wouldnt stop us from rolling on

  • It does great against RPG just blows off the Kevlar shell

  • you are a fucking retard

  • idiot

  • i guess you cud do better fuckin retard just die its because of people like you that we need shit like that

  • you fucking ass hole better then the shit you use oohh wait there is a great chance that you country uses lavs you fucking idiot

  • im gonna laugh when you get run over by one

  • I want a 8 wheeled vehicle!

  • What's that song that you put as a background? According to your nicname I guess it's Joe Satriani, am I right? But tell me the title :D

  • i dont know, this is a video from the CF online directory

  • Is this the Stryker?

  • mainly the stryker and lav3

  • Dude my dad builds the mine protection on these things! GO ARMATEC!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • cool, my dad's an engineer for the company that makes them (GD), but he works on helicopters...Im a veh tech in the CF and i spent all summer workin on them

  • it's so so cool~!!!!!

  • what is the name of the tank in 02:48

  • it might be a lav adats, im not sure exactly, it just fires rockets :)

  • Nope not a ADATS,. It was baige color..we only paint ours olive drag. (AFGAN proves enough time in the sand and it sticks and even olive green under neith stil looks baige :D) . The missels weren't in tubes like on an ADATS so proably USMC variant.

  • its frickin awesome!!

  • Looks like an Anti Air verison of the LAV, and the one at 2:50 is a LAV but it also is also packing 8 TOW guided rockets :)

  • What nation operates the MOWAG Eagle and utilized it in a UN operation at 2:46

  • hmmm i have no idea about that one

  • LAV-25s are kick ass..Im with an LAR unit so we use this vehicles a whole lot.

  • Ohh Rahh LAR! Semper Fi Mac.

  • Propably, but what is this cannon?

  • i think its either a mobile canadian howitzer or an m109

  • the canadians chose not to acquire the howitzer variant of the LAV 25.

  • yes but the video might be from some testing done with it, or it could be a video that general dynamics made...and what i meant by that is the howitzer is a canadian gun

  • ohhh, i wasn't aware it was a canadian gun.

  • And in 1:54?

  • US variant of stryker i think

  • at minute 1:52, that variant is called MGS. Mobile Gun System. Tank killer basically. But I like the LAV-TUA the Canadians use, a TOW missile launcher variant.

  • At least the LAV-TUA doesn't have to bear 170% of the weight that the LAV-III's suspension is proofed to bear --- if the MGS is ever fully deployed, there's gonna be an epidemic of them sinking into their own drivetrains...

  • What is the version i n 00:47?

  • Give me a Bison any day. They don't roll over and kill people.

  • 1:07 - They dont let us do that in training, its bad for the environment......lol

  • bad ass video.. i love the lavs too , im a gunner

  • the canadian forces fucking loves there lavs. I loved working with them in the infantry. mor vid please

  • RG 31 > humvee.. period

  • i like the g-wagon the best..the rg-31 is designed to drive over mines...but a few soldiers and a diplomat died in one earlier hitting an IED

  • yeah i heard about that.. but the Gwagon is unfortunately known as a bullet magnet.. personally.. id take the RG over a G.. but everyone has their preferences ^^

  • yeah

check out the CV-90, its a swedish LAV with tracked armour and a waaay bigger cannon. IMO its the best suited all around vehicle in the world for todays type of fighting.

  • hehe yes cv 90 is very nice ^^ i wonder how the armour does though.. like to see how it stands up to an rpg or a mine.. cheers tho ^^ .. by the way, MBT whats ur favourite

  • my fav mbt is a tie between challenger and the swedes strv 122...its their version of a leopard

  • Thanks, great video.
