I'm an oddball in my province of Quebec. Conservatives held 11 seats in Quebec, then lost one seat.

Newfoundland also went for the Liberals, big times.

Conservatives won seats overall. From 127 (I think) to 143. So they gained some ground.

As for my opinion of Harper, I don't care for him that much. I like his actions. He was in Lebanon to bring back Canadians in 2006. He's tough on crime. He's not pushing global warming. He wants our economy to be strong.

Last, the President can only suggest, ratify and veto; Congress writes the bills, right?

If antagonistics are the only problem u have in McCain, thats fine. WHAT i find antagonistic is the fact that Obama politically throws swipes towards McCain in the form of rhetoric and his Approved TV ads. Here on youtube i look at Obama's channel as "haters"! why? they are taking swipes at McCain thru vids... YET his channel/video is closed to all comments except PRO Obama comments!

well in my opinion, i sure hope so... however, The Obama camp labeled McCain as erratic and a geezer... Biden happens to be more erruptive than mcain. Have u seen the video of Biden saying his I.Q. was higher to the face of another person in 1988 (put in YT search Biden IQ 1988). ALSO, Joe Biden is a very VANE person... but he does tighten the Obama ship. if he selected Hillary... McCain would have had a tougher fight.

KirneH keep in mind, johnmccain keeps his channel open to comments! McCain wanted to do 10 townhall meeting debates with Obama. Obama agreed to do them! then Obama closed the door and said "i changed my mind" no townhall debates! If mcCain was all that antagonistic and "the Wrong Choice" Obama would have been pleased to do the 10 townhall meetings, exploiting ALL McCains weaknesses! But Obama had some fear... something... and pulled back on his original promise. thanks for this dialog

my own sister was for Obama because of the cbs nbc abc cnn msnbc et al... ummmm it took me only 1 minutes to convince her that she was wrong then 1 hour of discussion to learn more about John McCain. for that i really dislike mainstream media for not being FAIR and trying to corrupt my sister's mind : )
