We should strive for the equal distribution of opportunity, which ensures the protections of everyone's rights. That can only exist in a free market and free society.

The politicians are being forced to take sides because of OWS, not the other way around. It's not like the Tea Party which was funded by the Koch brothers etc...OWS is making sure they are not co-opted by special interests and are regulating donations to the movement. But it is showing the movements growth that politicians are now supporting

The AFL/CIO has promised cash, lawyers and "other resources" to show their support, and sends union members and union employees down to protest. MoveOn is one of the biggest organizing agents at EVERY protest across the country.. I just made all that up?

But obviously I know Communism doesn't work so I am for capitalism, just with some protections. In fact I am involved in OWS because I am against socialism, socialism for the rich. What we had with the bailouts was socialism for the rich but capitalism for everyone else. I think it is good that people stand up against injustice.

We should strive for the equal distribution of opportunity, which ensures the protections of everyone's rights. That can only exist in a free market and free society.
I too am against the bailouts, but then why not protest the people who GAVE them, rather than the people who received them?

Wall Street was basically regulated themselves that's why the bubble was allowed to get so big. By protesting we hope to put pressure on elected officials to pass some favorable legislation.

There are TONS of regulations, but those regulations are designed to give an unfair advantage for some against others. GE doesnt buy politicians in order to keep the energy industry unregulated, GE buys politicians in order to ensure that their competition is DOA thanks to regulatory favoratism. That government regulation/favoritism is the opposite of free market capitalism.
