Hey hows it going. I just converted my v6 to dual exhaust with straight pipes and flowmasters but is sounds nothing like this. Are straight pipes a bad thing to have? Do i need to tune my car now that I have dual exhaust? Im not really sure, kind of new to all of this.
@GkzProductions What kind of Flowmasters do you have? When you say straight pipe, do you mean you don't have catalytic converters? And no, you don't need a tune.
@MrDallasStars18 I have 40 series flowmasters, well the way my pipes got converted is I have a y pipe where the 2 catalytic converters went to one and then one to the back. They cut out the Y pipe and just did a new pipe from the left catalytic converter to the back and left the right side there. SO it's just 2 straight pipes to the back of the car. At high revs it makes a wierd rattle sound, kind of like a rice rocket.
Both the H-pipe and X-pipe sound great, but the H-pipe is louder. If you're looking for more hp and torque then go with the X. You really can't even tell the difference in power quite honestly.
@HAYSQ No shit... cause it IS a V6 no matter what kind of exhaust you slap on there it will always "sound v6".
@MrDallasStars18 Sorry to hear about the car... I'd be crushed if my 08 was totaled but you could bet your ass I'd get a 2011 with the insurance payout. I just had one question. Did you like the X-pipe? I have been trying to compare the X with the H on here but one guy has an H but the sound quality is terrible!
@Domman56 I know, man. But in these V6s you have to have a tune for the intake before you can even run the CAI in your car... I'm sure you already knew that though.

Don't be sorry, it is a V6! It sounds really good in the low RPMs up to 3500.

@Domman56 plus I would need to run 93 octane too to get the most power out of it, and gas prices are going up.
