  • Richard hugh Baker is an REPTILIAN,HE IS NOT HUMAN

  • Grayson is a disgrace! Liar!!!!!!!!!!

  • I hope they hang Bush & Cheney Co. for war crimes!

  • scumbag bankers-liars and obfuscators

  • Now that he is free agent, perhaps Grayson will be even more dangerous. I'd like to see a Grayson podcast, or YT channel. Away from restrictions of congress maybe we can hear how he really feels

  • Socialization of the losses, privatization of the profits. Capitalism for the poor, socialism for the rich. Fuck, it was all so damn good for the past 30 years. Party had to come to an end sometime. There should be hell to pay for this.

One good thing to take from this whole mess :

"..for the first time the monster of American Oligarchy had washed up from below the oceans surface and onto the shore for everyone to see.."

  • @TehFlamingLipz Well put. I'm stealing this :)

  • @FSUSW15009

Quote belongs to Matt Taibbi, from Griftopia. Excellent book on the mortage crisis btw

  • I love Mr. Grayson's suite :)... this is a mess I still don't get how they manage to get away with robbing the american people.

  • Kill em' all...

  • Time has expired, time has expired!!! all Bull!! Give Rep Alan Grayson 1hr!!!!!!

Let him rip those that need ripping!!!

  • Alan Grayson lost the election because Wall St bankers saw the title of this video and said to themselves, "We have to do something about this guy"!

  • Instead of a mass giveaway why not create a subclass of banks specializing in microloans(500-1000 say).give them the seed money to jumpstart things, and that way the money will be used but not lost.

  • Banking magnate Baron M.A. Rothschild said, “Give me control over a nations currency, and I care not who makes its laws.” It doesn’t matter if the Democrats or Republicans hold office. Real power lies with the banks, notably the Federal Reserve, and particularly the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

  • The panel before congress are imbeciles at best.

  • I like ur suit Mr Grayson

  • What kind of comparrisom is that? People are losing their life savings to these crooks and you ask about a spaceship. Retirees are getting one percent on what savings they have left . Oh I get the comparison, The shuttle disappeared just like their life savings.

DO YOU NOT SEE THERE PURPOSELY BANKRUPTY THIS COUNTRY?

  • You can't compare a freak accident with a purposeful implosion.

  • @wheresurhat Which one was the freak accident and which one the purposeful explosion?

  • @mrzipdisk

are you retarded? you must be.....You're actually comparing the challenger accident (I stress accident) to the financial collapse that was DIRECTLY caused by these people. Further you are agreeing that the best way to solve the problem is to reward these people with money? What kind of incentive is that to not do it again? They are just gonna cause another collapse, and we have no money left to bail out anyone. You know nothing.

  • Actually, people did get mad at NASA when they found out NASA made a simple mistake that they should have known better than to make.

He's asking a good question here. At this time, pretty much everyone in government was still in the mindset that the only way to save the banks was to give tons of money to the guys that killed the economy. We had already given them billions and they didn't do with it what they said they would. Instead, they used it to cook their books.

  • hooray for Ms. Orifice Williams, the token black woman on this slimy panel of banking whores! And the white bitch is just a whore for the insurance industry...they're all whores, whores, whores!!!

  • this Tim Ryan scumbag is just another oily, slimy banker who probably has two yachts, one named after his kids and another named after his whore mistress! Go Grayson!!!

  • Comment removed

  • So basically the banks are saying they can't be trusted....

They just admitted that they need heavy regulation to survive.

  • It seems that one of the answers Mr. Grayson is looking for may be that the institutions should be allowed to fail in the way millions of other small banks and businesses across the country are allowed to fail every year, based on the free market economy this country participates in.

  • Absolutely right. There is no alternative way to bail out banks other than stealing money from taxpayer wallets. And if there was another source of money for that specific purpose and that money pours in during a crisis just to save banks ... you'd get a major inflation.

  • The worst part is the EXTORTION. 'You bail us out or the economy collapses!'. Bunch of bull, if you ask me. Taxpayers are now paying for their mansions maintenance, their yachts and they are laughing all the way to the bailed out banks. They should have let them go bankrupt and let the chips fall where they may.

  • We need some good old public bank runs to remind banks that keeping inadequate money reserves is a foolish move.

  • @cjaneWAIL

if u let ones fall and the others not it rally looks like that:

"ALL institutions ARE EQUAL, BUT SOME institutions ARE MORE EQUAL THAN OTHERS"

  • @cjaneWAIL

This country has had free markets for decades.......

  • "I don't understand your question so I'm just gonna read some talking points"

    He sounds like Sarah Palin.

  • well said

  • Jobs are also "essential to our economic health," so according to Mr. Ryan the government is well advised to spend a trillion dollars creating jobs? This is the point of Grayson's question. The way we did this benefited the offending institutions whose lobby money flowed into congress. This shits got to stop!

  • Let me get this straight, according to Mr. Bartlett, we must hand over trillions of dollars to failed private institutions or the economy will suffer a huge crash. Shouldn't we, instead, take over the roll of those institutions - shutting down the worst offenders rather than rewarding them; otherwise, we let bankers hold the economy hostage.

  • I'm tell you guys, they should have used the trickle-up theory. Cut a check of $15,000 for every legal adult over the age of 18 who makes under $50000 per year . Weather they spend the money or save the money, it ends out in the banks anyways and practically everyone would be debt free! Seems like a good enough plan to me!

  • That would create too much inflation instantly. The gov. does not want to create inflation on main street, hence why the banks have all the money and aren't lending and are just trading with the money (creating inflation on Wall Street).

  • @autobotguy what backs that $? Now we have more bills floating around? Great so the 15,000g's o just got became 10,000 overnight. The point is you cannot produce more fake notes to make up for loses. Banks get to invest with no remorse, becasue the fed will loan them out if they fuck up. Lets not forget that over 80% of the bailout went to the 4 big banks of Citi, JP Morgan Chase, Bank of AMerica, and Wells Fargo. I wish i could go bet money and pass on my losses to a taxpayer.

  • @autobotguy What if you earn $51000 per year? And who pays for that? People that make $70000 per year? Seems like an idiotic plan to me. All of this is idiotic.

  • @autobotguy wouldn't even cover half of what I owe. lol

  • @autobotguy

But but but but but but, that's SOCIALISM!!!!1!

I heard on the TV that's bad!

  • Bitch! When I "Invest", I get sumtin back.

    It's extortion plain and simple....

They break your leg, give you crutches and then say, "See, without us, you wouldn't be able to walk".

    All these people are retarded.

  • Melindaca2 - If your sure, then don't just say it - prove it If he is going after the Fed for lending money willy nilly to Wall Street and Banks, then who would his special interests be?

  • He has his fingers dipped into his own research company for Alzheimers, sitting right on top as CEO.. I am pretty sure stem cell is part of the research, and where is this funding coming from... our lovely Gov. He also has a few other companies I have yet to look up.. lost interest after I did my 5 min of finding his special interest... You be the judge.. he is just another sheep in wolves clothing!

  • Or wolf in sheep;s clothing.. and another great actor in Congress..

  • One more thing.. the greatest way to make yourself look GREAT, is to call someone else's bluff and make them look bad.. takes all focus off your bad ( GRAYSON=NOT GOOD!)

  • Grayson for president!

  • Does anyone know what that PIN is, that Alan Grayson always wears on his left chest?

  • I want to know the truth now! Who helped Ben Bernanke embezzle our money? Who is Involved and how many? How long has this been going on for? Where is our money? How do we get it back?

  • Why doesn't the government bail out the American people first? Millions of people are just making ends meet, the gov. could pass those funds to them and they could pay off their auto loans, mortgages, credit card debt and education loans which would infuse that amount of money into the banks. Whay not that?

  • If an American citizen goes into debt and he can't pay his bills, he is forced to repay the debt(with high interest) or file bankruptcy and ruin his credit for the next 5-7 years.

When a financial institution goes bankrupt, it gets bailed out with taxpayers money, interest free!

Seems to me it would be cheaper to bail out the taxpayer instead of these crooks.

  • If the banks collapsed, the current ruling elite would be deposed, and in keeping with the free market, would be replaced with "better" people.

But the brutal rules of "survival of the fittest", we now know beyond doubt, only apply to the poor and working/middle class. Those at the top can be as incompetent as they wish, for they live in the very socialist paradise which they claim to despise.

Note that it is the taxpayer who is burdened, whilst the bankers are back to claiming their bonuses.

  • There shouldn't be any banking "industry" or health care "industry" in America. Their greed, corruption and ponzi inventions have destroyed the promise of America... Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. There is no access to capital to fund the changes we need to make as a country. All banks should be no interest public banks.

  • Why does Grayson dress like a 30s mafia gangster?

  • Not gonna lie, that was a really good question. He sculpted the hell out of that question. Well played.

  • Why didnt they take that money, put in on another lower risk hedge of somesort,

pay off what we owed to them and continued down some kind of entrepenaueral road to make money. This is absurd.

Why didnt they pay off our loans man ????rediculous.

Grayson, I wish you the best of health, may your work for us either wanted or unwanted go explained, I hope in your stint there, that you found the answers you were looking for thru all that garbage, even though I DIDNT.

  • At what dollar number are "we" at the lowest of low of no return?

There MUST BE money SOMEWHERE where the hell are they digging these dollars from?

Or is that an answer that cannot be released either.

    Mr Bartlett.

"the only way to save this economy is to start with the financial services industry"

Heh, I thought maybe a better approach would be to start with the people WHO NEED TO PAY BACK THE LOANS!

Start with us, the people, screw these institutions man, we need more jobs.

  • not sure if that guy was kissing ass or giving an answer?

  • Here's one solution: "You are all fired, get out now". Replace all the dead, corrupt wood, bring in a whole new crew and dont let them bribe Congress with "campaign contributions".

  • When math can't save us we're fucked.

  • I had a conversation with my father about why i think the credit system will fail. His only argument was: "the credit system can't fail because our country is built on it...." Thats the only response I've heard from anybody.

  • THE ZEITGEIST MOVEMENT.

    For the Win

  • To really look into the problem it seems to me would invite revolution....and the people on top would never want that!

It is eerily similar to investigating 911 and disturbing the well established sacred cow of '

    Al-Qaeda.

Obama's idea of "moving ahead and forgetting the past", is really an action of sweeping all the bad stuff under the carpet.

The stuff is still with us today and will need to be addressed otherwise it doubtful we will progress much further!

  • Do you think these people will give up their slice of the pie willingly? Can we maybe talk them into finding real jobs like changing tires or picking berries?

  • The guillotine will fix the problem like it didduring French Revolution. Get rid of the thieves, bankers families, kings, queens and the whole bunch of criminal bloodsuckers. If you put a million into a savings account ask the management to sign a personal guarantee on your money. They will refuse that.

  • We need a French style Revolution. All the bankers and their political friends beheaded in public by the Guillotine. A fast job. Problem solved.

  • Is it me or are there some very interesting parallels with the language used in this video and those in The Matrix movie? "Systemic problems." "Taking it to the core."

I find it interesting, as well, that this "crisis" happened before nearly 100 years ago. To quote from The Matrix, "this is the sixth time we have destroyed Zion and, let me assure you, we are very good at it."

I think we've been here before. Every third generation has their wealth stolen. It's all a scam. Wake up people.

  • Listen to what this fucker says, if the financials don't recover then there will be no economic recovery. Since when did a bank become a necessity for a market to work?

Hang everyone of these fuckers and Washington criminals included.

  • These fucking banks are not essential to our economic health, just more propaganda.

  • Do you not remember what happened during the depression, do you remember what caused it? If wall street fails, the banks fail, and our money becomes useless, we go into another depression, it will eventually happen, and we will get the equivalent to another federal reserve, but this time it will be the NAU and socialism, it was staged once to create the Fed and it is being staged again to create the NAU and eventually the NWO.

  • That's how they force us to do things we don't want to do, they create a war or a economic downfall, and everytime it happens we get closer and closer to dictatorship.

  • These rats know the jig is up....they are scrambling to hide....expect another 'attack'

its how they keep the sheep in line....

They will all burn in hell for eternity

  • Wow, this man is so cool. Wall street socialism! How right he is.

    Ron Paul/Alan Grayson 2012!

  • hang them all

  • Great questioning. Bad answers. Too big to fail. Not so. These greedy bastards have lined their pockets with taxpayers money and turned around and raised interest rates and fees to boot on the very people that have been given the burden of carrying their financial mistakes. Interest rate jumps from 6% to 26% just because they can. Put your money into a bank savings account and they want to make you feel lucky you're getting a 3% return. Keep up the good work Senator Grayson

  • Guillotines have been used with great success to correct plutocrats behavior.

  • they are playing in different leagues.....

all politicans have failedto answer to the question miserably...

  • Mr. Grayson seems to be using "moral hazard" as synonymous for "morally accountable" but moral hazard arises because an institution does not bear the full consequences of its actions, and therefore acts less carefully than it otherwise would, leaving another party to bear some responsibility for the consequences of those actions - in this case, taxpayers. Perhaps Mr. Grayson will propose legislation that eliminates moral hazard for greedy institutions or at least refuses to bail them out.

  • They're insolvent.

    Nationalize already.

  • Thank you Rep. Grayson. Thank you Crooks&Liars.

Rep Grayson has said what everyone was trying to say.

The TRANSFER OF EXTORTED WEALTH from

t/p's to the private sector is WALL STREET SOCIALISM. This is looting the national wealth of the host country in

which these parasites operate. *Gee Wiz, there go

those liber-alles going all class warfare again*

which is what right wing Kudlow's are so fond

of saying. Inconvenient as it may be, what

Grayson is saying happens to be accurate.

  • Yes, there IS something that can be done.

It involves tar, feathers, torches, pitchforks and rope.

    The natives are restless.

  • hear hear

  • Sorry CFR= Council for Foreign Relation

  • I dont know much about Mr Grayson, but I'm following how he votes on thing's that will protect our constitution and our freedoms. I hope he is not another One of those one World Government traitors, letting the UN control all countrys. Does anyone know if Mr. Grayson is a CFR member? committee of foreign relation's member.
