It depends on what you're looking for in a rat's personality. Males are generally more laid-back and enjoy being held... On the other hand, females are more energetic and skittish.
I guess the prices between dumbo and regular rats depends on the store or breeder you buy from. Breeders generally charge more than a pet store does, but buying from a pet store could mean saving a rat... Try asking around locally. Also, please consider getting two rats... One is a lonely number. :(
Lol that reminds me of what my hairless rat did xD She was walking on this fishtank ( It didn't have water in it ) and she fell behind it xD And me and my dad spent 10 minutes trying to catch her :3 She doesnt like me that much :P
i watched all your rat video's you guys spoil them so much (in a good way) haha, I have two rats, Kitty(girl) and Bug(boy) and they just had 14! babies about four days ago. I love them so much and I really love your video's and idea's for things, and it's great to see someone else who loves thier rats as much as I do :)

Yeah, I heard rats can fall from two stories high and be just fine. This shouldn't be a problem. :)
