I think maybe they don't have enough police for that situation. Those Christians are DanGerOus... can you imagine running into one or two in a dark alley? How scary!!! The protection is for the speaker, not the hearer. Islam refuses to hear any other theological arguments and they use the force of government throughout the Middle East to ensure they hear no other side. That is Sharia law which we don't have here in the U.S.; we have a Constitution.

Actually, the police can't take your videocamera because you are the press. He can ask you to leave with your friends because you are part of the group in question (to them, the group that's trying to incite). You don't see the police taking the cameras away from the news cameramen, do you? They know this, too, which is why they gave your camera & tape back to you.
