Personally this is the first time I have heard him play and its nothing I am that impressed with. Very talented player don't get me wrong but not a player i'd want in my band. But, Ozzy is a very smart guy (imho) and he felt something with this kid so I am with Ozzy on this one and I wish Ozzy and the band luck with the new addition.

What saddens me about Gus is his composure ability. Ozzy has always been driven by guitarists who write great riffs and licks, starting with Tony and his Iron Man, Paranoid, and others. Then with Randy Rhoads and his obvious genius abilities in songwriting. Jake E Lee of course wrote the very popular Bark At The Moon riff and did some ok stuff in Ultimate Sin. Even Zakk pumped out some good solos and riffs. But, for anyone who has heard "Let Me Hear You Scream," its just noise now.

I never read a negative comment about Gus G until it was said he was playing with ozzy. This is horseshit, I was introduced to Gus G back in 2002 in Dream Evil, then on to Firewind and Nightrage. He is an absolutely brilliant guitar player. Half of these comments watch a coupla fuckin youtube videos and they are Gus experts.

Listen to his songs, especially on the Dragonslayer record by Dream Evil or Evilized. Sweet Vengeance by Nightrage. Dont care who he sounds like, he's great!
