  • The US is based on fear & consumption.

Marilyn Manson hit it right on the nail.

  • Great documentary

  • ahahhaha lol 1:13:00 the only gun murder in windsor in the last few years is a guy from detroit with a gun from minnesota hahaha poor windsor

so no paranoia, no fear is the key in canada, well cause politicians dont try to sell something, in america politicians invent an enemy even as far as a 'super villain' so that the politicians can come as the heroes but only you can save yourself not a politician

  • Marilyn Mansons is totally right and he knows he is being used, unwanting it he is their best weapon to get what the government wants, he shouldnt give them what they want and need

and yeah in other countries worst things can be found in media and still not so many violent deaths, cause they have better values and NO PARANOIA / FEAR

  • What was the song that played during the fotage and 911 calls?

  • This video was uploaded a day before my 21st birthday.

  • All gays have aids

  • pray for chardon high

  • the columbine killers got guns from older friends

  • US citizens are people others are just cattle that USA can butcher any day with impunity. Its really sad.

  • @GreeeenMartian Wth?

  • @GreeeenMartian it is unfortunate... but in the same right it makes me somewhat happy to be here. Better you than me.

  • 3:30. theres nothing dangerous about it.... unless your trying to rob that bank

  • Notice the clipping at 1:55:35 - 1:55:43.

    Where does the camera go?

  • I love that he made Heston suffer in the end.

    Lousy cultist.

  • @Kas4bian what he does to Heston is a disgrace its nothing to do with him, pointless interview, even Moore knows, asking him to apologise what bs.

This doc is ok but the main issue is education, in Canada they can have guns cause they are clever enough not to use them on people.

  • @HaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaNo One has to be stupid as hell to believe that gun loving maniac Heston wasnt aware of the Columbine Shooting which was making news in even North Korea . Heston is urging everyone to use their right to have a gun to save themselves from guys like those two goons of columbine and HE wasnt aware about columbine ? then why he wants people to be armed just to look cool ?

lie or not this is SCARY WHY WASNT THIS IN NEWS ? This is deleterious mentally and morally

  • So pretty much the kids from Columbine murdered all of their fellow classmates because they were American. They got sick and tired of people ignoring them and not listening to them so they did the only thing that Americans know how to do, and that is react with violence because that is all that is on the news. If they were from Canada they would just have picked on the other classmates as revenge. So, the way to resolve all the violence in America is to just show more positive things on the news

  • is the audio/video lag annoying to anyone else?

  • What's Up With Marilyn Mansons Left Eye?

  • @bobfari contact lenz

  • it is a Contact lens

  • @bobfari he wears a colored contact in his one eye

  • jap human testing in ww2 on pows. this is childs play compared to them. but rip and lord have mercy.

  • The whole world is messed up

    Not just America

    Though as an America

I agree that our country is violent money grubbing whores

  • Bush is a total dick all he cared about was defending the US what exactly do they need defending from there a super power for fuck sake, 9/11 was caused because they trained those terrorists and that backfired on them, America seriously needs to get a new government which rather than focusing on other countries affairs focuses on there own. Why do they need guns hunting i can understand but that should be it here in the UK we have no guns and near enough no gun crime it's not rocket science

  • That's why the world doesn't like America - because you're just too fucking violent for a western country in the 21'st century. There is no other country that wages so many wars or has such unrestricted gun laws and frequent shootings among the western civilization. In the world as a whole, there are many worse places, but when it comes to Europe, or Canada or the Balkans, there is no place that is so violent or aggressive.

  • the last guy is a stupid old ignorant fuckcunt!

  • @Scede you'll actually find that the way Moore is filming this he has manipulated a lot of things to make others look bad, like Charlton Heston, look into it

  • *goes to the bank* "Give me a free gun... What do you mean you're not giving away guns? What! Jimminybillybob... Go get your shotgun, I'm getting a gun from this bank one way or another." -Average American

  • america shouldnt just be ashamed its the rest of the world too its completely messed up

  • Man this is why guns need to be banned! USA is the perfect place of how guns crime has messed up society.

  • and this is his buddy dj...

  • Can't take this guy seriously after watching team america

  • after watching this full, and learning alot (but not just beliving everything ive just been told) , just one of the thoughts i have is in regards of the ending interview with heston. america is known as the land of the brave, heston is known as one of the great americans so why would he walk away and flee when being confronted by somone just talking. welcome all coments/replies (wont be getting into any stupid youtube arguements though FYI)

    thanks for upload.

  • @09ducatiman09 I believe he left because he is a weak individual and whenever someone tries to oppose him face to face you will see his real character, a coward. This was a well documented movie to show that. I would also like to state that this is just my opinion too. But also another thing Michael showed in this movie was whenever you talk to a giant corporation or an individual in person it is a lot harder for them to speak back.

  • @MrDyrn completely agree, there all cowards, they cant give their opinion on somthing as broad as gun legislation without having a triple checked prepared statement

  • I am sad for all the people of United States.

  • @gatomachistico Can I ask why?

  • English teacher : Make a multimodal presentation about Micheal Moore's doco : Bowling for Columbine.

Me : Become a boss get lots of footage and EDIT THE SHIT OUT OF IT :D

  • Doesn't matter whether there's guns or not, people will kill each other. We are a species subjected to natural selection just as all others, we are not special just because we can foster cultural selection.

  • Awesome documentary

  • chris rock is a fool. That means only government, wealthy people and criminals can own guns. Aka corrupt evil people who will commit crimes. Fucking Socialist Fuck! I hope karma treats his ass with a fire poker of hell.

  • "This screener has been electronically coded to assist in tracking illegal duplications."

    > Re-encode

Oh hey, what file is this?

  • Wait a second. Before Columbine, kids were owning guns legally. After the Columbine they told us that it's Marilyn Manson fault because he "promotes violence". Let's rewind... or not WTF are gun's doing in kid's hand's in first place?! Fucking goverment.

  • @MacPuppet Actually the government doesnt want people to own guns. They love it when people can't defend themselves. Look at Cuba, or nazi germany, or soviet russia. Its too hard to kill or control you sheep if you defend yourselves. Jeez, they want to make it easy for themselves to kill you and your family. They don't want ANY resistance. Just wrap yourself in bacon and throw YOURSELF in the oven for them. My god hurry!

  • Awsome documentary! So well made, thats how you make a documentaries!

  • @cyberdaemon yeah such an artist, he cut a lot of the film to make it seem like they are saying things they're really not. Lying is key when making a documentary. You're so right. Remember, when making a documentary ALWAYS ALWAYS Lie! BIAS is always key. Just like Michael Moore. He's so skilled at being bias, the true documentary king! :D

  • 0:13:40 - if he's meant to be the one who they couldn't put away, think how crazy the other 2 are!

  • Vote for Valerie Solanas

  • In the bank the first place Moore puts his finger is on the trigger! He needs to return to firearm safety class. This movie is such a misleading form of documentary making it should be disgusting in the eyes of any educated individual used to doing any basic fact checking and research.

  • @ConstantlyEvolve Oh shit, he put a finger on his gun! He must be completely retarded, and has to scrap a documentary that is extremely informative due to me being a fucking asshole!

  • @AlanComek I knew someone out in cyberia agreed! (Read: sarcasm) Thanks for your insight.

  • @AlanComek you're a moron...

  • 0:45:35 worst argument ever period

  • usa needs to calm the fuck down

  • mfw marilyn manson is a respectable person

  • @ekeeywaka Michael Moore didn't ask him very difficult questions...

  • 3:20) I'll have a new account (500 deposit), a free gun, all your money and a side of fries.....

I don't care if your not MacDonald's go down there and get me some or your buddy gets it.

  • So who are Police officers & those in the military. Are they some special breed of humans who can handle a weapon or gun better then the rest. They are not!!! They have simply been given proper training on the handling and use of a gun. We can all learn just as they. So the whole argument against the PEOPLE owning firearms simply doesn't hold water. Just as with owning & using a vehicle you should have proper training on its use & handling & its the exact same thing as with a gun.

  • AMERICA - THE HOME OF THE BRAVE

    lol :)

  • @koko1914 america home of the brave and the shot

  • dude michael moore is so going the wrong way. he blames the wrong thing for what the issue really is. for example in this video he blames the occupation system for the little boy killing the little girl. first off everyone has a choice where to work. it may not be what we want but still there is a choice. she could have easily moved to the different county so that she would have been closer to her work. and secondly the mothers brother should have hid the gun if he had children staying with him.

  • @gtobandit1 I don't think you understood. The county she was working at is one of the richest counties in the U.S.A. She was getting evicted out of her appartment in Flint, one of the poorest/cheapest town in the U.S.A. How the hell was she supposed to afford living in a rich county? Furthermore, not everyone has the right to choose where to work. I'd like to see you in the position of not being able to afford further education and having to work in a fast food for the rest of your life.

  • @ema93 listen i pay my dues like everyone else. but at least i am not looking to be a freeloader. everyone has a choice in the matter EVERYONE. to answer your question yes i do agree that it would be hard living in a rich country without any help but it is also not my problem that she is a single parent an welfare. i mean why should i have to pay for her mistake in having a child before getting married

  • @gtobandit1 I understand your view of social responsibility, but not everyone has that choice. It all comes down to a question of opportunity, and because of the American education system, not everyone has equal opportunity. Some cannot afford the ridiculous prices of education in the USA, especially not single mother. However, I can guarantee you that if these single mothers had a chance to change their situation, they would. This has nothing to do with being a freeloader or unmarried mom.

  • @ema93 I do understand your views. and your absolutely right the american education system is at a poor level right now due to high cost of tuition but to be honest there are so many government hand outs regarding that i feel that is where my tax money should go more toward. not to welfare moms who all they want to do is just stay home aka freeloaders. Michael said in this movie that if she didnt have the job then that kid wouldn't have shot that girl which i disagree its all about choice

  • seriously America... WTF???

  • They didn't shoot up the school because they had guns. They did it because they were treated like garbage and were angry about it. Guns aren't the problem. The way we treat each other is the problem.

  • @JasonTodded Please. In France, people are treated the same at school. And there are no shootings because we don't have guns. As simple as that !

  • 26:44-26:53 i survived that war. i was born in San Salvador & migrated to Australia in 1991. My parents & older brother have left me in no doubt that the Civil War was terror incarnate. R.I.P to all my Salvadoran brothers & sisters, murdered by their own.

  • Marilyn Manson is a wonderful person. All those stuckup prick politicians and "experts" need to stfu. REALLY! How is it his faultthat some kids sht a school? Fuck them Marilyn Manson is my Jesus

  • @charlesquinn87 Does it matter? His points are very valid and every single person should be asking themselves the same question.

  • haha awkward extended handshake 1:47:24 LOL

  • my bank only gave me a pen. and it ran out of ink in like 2 days

  • @tron473 .. :)) thats funny

  • AMERICA you are a bunch of nuggets, kids with guns yeh let blame marlyn manson, no blame your shitty laws that lets them poses a gun at that age, i live in the uk where 68 a year die from guns, pistols are banned becuase a guy walked into a school and shot a load of kids here you have 11,000 seriously what the fuck.

  • @matey95 Yes, because the dumb twats that 'Michael Moore' scoped out for this 'film' are perfectly representative of all Americans and idiocy is virtually non-existant amongst the English. What are you, twelve years old?

  • Marilyn Manson is a smart guy.

  • @readthesecomments Those questions had been sent to him far in advance, as is typical of any interview that is going to be widely available to the public. Considering he had plenty of time to think of cogent responses, not to mention a team of publicists to help him along, he comes across as quite the dipshit, which he undoubtedly is.

  • i love guns ;)

  • People will kill people, regardless of what technology is involved. If guns kill people than pencils write papers for you.

  • Legalised and freely available guns? Maybe that's the difference.

  • man I hate guns

  • What most people - including Michael Moore - fail to see is that guns account for less than 5% of homicides around the world. We may as well put registry laws on baseball bats, and household chemicals too. The Right to Bear Arms is part of the American Constitution. It's there to protect it's people. Columbine could happen once a month and the carnage would be spit in the sea compared to the atrocities commited by governments and the Gun Registry laws. Ask Mao Tse Tung if you don't believe me.

  • @jare122 In that case I have to say you haven't understood the point of this documentary.

It questions whether the right to bear arms is actually useful, whether firearms are really making the country safer. In the figure you give about homicides worldwide, the US are by very far the country with the highest homicide rate with guns. The exact figures are given IN the documentary.

  • @gekko434 So what does that have to do with the LEGAL right to own a gun? You want to commit murder, you probably don't care if the gun you bought was illegally purchased. The Columbine shooters' guns were legally purchased but that doesn't mean they wouldn't have bought one illegally. There is a group of very wealthy people like Michael Moore that is scared to death of law abiding citizens owning guns. This documentary inadvertently demonstrates that.

  • @wtg2989 No, you probably don't. Unless you're a six year old who finds a gun in the house of your uncle, but that is small fraction of the cases.

I don't think Michael Moore is scared to death of guns, he is an excellent shooter himself, and a lifetime member of the NRA.

In my opinion, guns don't make the world safer, and statistics of homicide rates support that. Like the father of the columbine victim said: A gun can only shot or kill another person, it therefore has no useful purpose.

  • @gekko434 So what are you supposed to do? Outlawing them won't help. And that father of the victim you refer to was grieving and not thinking clearly. He thought that because the shooters were using a 9mm gun with a 30 round clip, they were able to kill his son. He said "that isn't used for deer hunting." So what? If they used 12 gauges with 5 shot mag tubes they could have done as much damage. And defending yourself from an attacker is a USEFUL purpose. Criminals are always armed.

  • @wtg2989 I guess we have different opinions on this. You're saying that more guns mean more security and I'm saying that more guns mean more homicides. Everyone is entitled to their opinion!

  • @gekko434 I didn't say guns are even tied to security. I'm saying that if somebody wants to commit murder, outlawing guns won't stop them. I'm also saying that the rich, like Moore, want to remain rich which is why the idea of an armed middle class frightens them. If you can't at least admit that criminals have guns no matter what the law is, you are a sheep and documentaries like this one are your only source of information. You have no common sense.

  • @wtg2989 I'm not a sheep and I do have a common sense. Way to present an argument. I'm sorry I don't share your humble opinion.

USA = country with the most liberal gun laws, USA = western country with the most homicides. Criminals can get weapons everywhere, true. But apparantly more people die if both the victim and the offender are armed.

What's the purpose of guns in that case? America has higher crime rates than almost any other western country. They aren't protecting anyone.

  • @gekko434 I know people whose lives have been saved because they were able to defend themselves with a gun. I also know people whose lives have been taken because they didn't have a gun. Are you suggesting every law abiding citizen should be unarmed because Michael Moore fudged some survey results he found? The U.S. has a high crime rate, you're right. But those crimes are committed by CRIMINALS. Most criminals purchase guns ILLEGALLY. Can't you understand that?

  • @gekko434 Also, the victim being armed has nothing to do with it in most cases. The only thing that causes homicides to happen is the CRIMINAL being armed. You keep making statements to the effect of: Lenient gun laws= more crime. You ever stop and think that the U.S. also has a much higher population than most of the countries in comparison of numbers of gun crimes? This is why I say you have no common sense.

  • @wtg2989 I am talking about a gun homicide per 100.000 population figure. Search for 'gun homicides by country' in google and you will get those.

And yes, I am saying that in a country with strict gun laws you as an individual are significantly less likely to be killed by a gun than in the United States.

  • @gekko434Do you actually think that statistics are completely accurate? They could have sampled downtown Los Angeles in the U.S. and some rural English region to compare. And what logic do you have other than a statistic? Do you actually think about it? I've heard from people who LIVE in other countries that the more strict the laws, the more crime they get. I could find stats to say the opposite of what you are saying.

  • @gekko434 OK, I looked at your profile and you are apparently from Belgium. Nothing wrong with that, just don't be naive enough to think that if something "works" in Belgium, it doesn't have to work somewhere else. If you actually research more than just stats on crimes with guns, you'll see that in most cases those guns were purchased illegally. legally purchased guns have serial numbers. So what is your solution since outlawing them won't work? Don't just say "More guns, more crime."

  • 'Is it possible that the dog knew what it was going?'

    Ahahahahaa! Michael Moore <3

  • I love the africanized bee metaphor

  • "If your not armed your not responsible." This is the world we live in were people think like that, if you have a weapon your more likely to die, by that weapon.

  • WTF American, you give out firearms like candy.

  • THEY SHOT THE BLACK KID?!? FUCK NIGGA!

  • My first question is, why even allow weapons? Yes it's a right, but you can be entertained without f**king guns, I'm from Denmark, haven't heard of a school shooting ever happened here. Maybe it's because we DONT have access to guns easily. And our society doesn't applaud war.. Think about it America..

  • 43:24 gimme a f*ckn' break

  • yio@Girl21979 lol like no-one would notice you in the bathroom putting down 10-11 guns on the floor before you drop your pants to take a dump

  • *sigh* could write a whole book on what I think about everything in this movie. So all I shall say is ...how sad. :(

  • ..And why do Americans still consider themselves ''innocent''?

9/11 was nothing in comparison to the destruction and suffering USA has caused.

  • @voro122 it's pretty clear American Government was responsible for 9/11..

  • godamn!!! you Americans dont know how lucky you are, in my country when you want a gun you have to go to the guetto, put up with the locals and pay a ridiculous amount of money for a 9mm, there you get a sweet rifle in the Bank or with your local Barber. love what the dude say at 11:08 btw

  • fantastic documentary, very well put together, very thought provoking, the canada and american situation is very interesting, maybe after all, all americans are paranoid, scared and live in fear even thougth they make it out like there are not. a very questionable matter indead.

  • @TeamElipsis Are you serious?

  • @TeamElipsis Is English your first language?

  • @TeamElipsis Ah the beauty, and often the horrors, of irony

  • @TeamElipsis Well put together? Half the points he makes are based on the withholding of important information, and only one side is presented.

  • None of this was manson's fault, It was the Bullying towards Harris and Klebold, they liked Rammstein better than Marylin Manson. I researched Columbine 2/3 straight months in every way throughout everything I could get to related to it and this movie isn't a good reference. Eric was Schizophrenic and Dylan just followed along, I just think this movie is only 30% true, if you did as much research as I did, you'd believe me, and I'm Canadian.

  • i grew up with " Moses"'s sci fi cult movie such planet of the apes - the omega man - soilent green

and what a disapointment to find out that he s such a douche maybe he thinks people will start goin' albino soon....

  • The only mental disorder i have is being a victim of your fucking insanity (the world)

  • Don't worry people, this is a problem that will destroy itself soon enough, as the circle of life continues, we may not see it or we may see it for that fact, but insanity kills insanity like nothing.

  • @DazedConfused1969 I say this because i have realized that everything complex and insane is related to everything simple and sane/normality, humans can be anything, thats why the soldiers who see and experience crazy war can come out still live life although not always that simple, this is madness but it is related to simplicity which the needs will overcome it

  • The Canadians aren't afraid of people walking into their homes because they own seven million handguns.

  • @Kataanmonster yes but they dont shoot people do they hense why they have a low gun crime rate!!!!

  • @crackerjacklooplylou You're right, but I was just making a joke. I think if every citizen owned a gun people would be less likely to try and rob you. I lived in Indiana and they had a militia there and everyone carried guns. The only crime that we had there was DUIs and drunken fights. Rarely any violent crime. One time someone tried to rob one of the banks and there were like five other people behind him carrying guns. They all drew down on him and held him until the cops got there.

  • Plus some of his stats are way off. America is almost 87% white? Nowhere close to that.

  • I think Michael Moore is downplaying the role of children in violence today. I'm talking about high school aged children. I've been a police officer for 15 years and our stats show that over 70% of the crime in our county is committed by juveniles. I worked security in one of the high schools and we enforced a dress code and the problems significantly reduced. America tends to over react a lot of times when tragedy strikes, but just as many people don't take it seriously enough.

  • @Kataanmonster Police man scum, you don't know the moral of man, if you try to take my moral rights , ive got my justice to hand out to you

  • @DazedConfused1969 Moral rights? That makes no sense. As far as the rest of your comment, you're obviously a bully and I really don't care what you have to say. You're trying to pick a fight where there is none. I spoke from experience and made no comment about taking anything from anyone. Grow up.

  • @Kataanmonster Hahahaha I'm the bully here?

  • @DazedConfused1969 Yeah. You're threatening me "just in case" I try to do something to you. You're paranoid. Calling me names and making conditional threats for no reason. You're trying to fight.

  • @Kataanmonster No im explaining the reality and main subject towards your hostility that is reserved, i know your game buddy and it may not be you personally which then i apologize, cause i know you could have a wife and kids, but your representation of organisation is enough to take away any mans sanity.

  • @DazedConfused1969 You are obviously an angry individual with a chip on their shoulder. I said nothing to provoke a fight yet you are trying to start one. You call me scum because you have a prejudice against authority. That shows your lack of maturity. Anybody who hates a group of people because of experiences with a few of them lacks maturity. I have had many bad experiences with many races but I don't hold the rest of the race responsible for their actions.

  • If the boys at 0:04:21 had played with guns like these today the policemen wouldn't have smiled. They would properly have fired with their guns.

  • 52:00~ What is it? One thing is it's not common to own a gun in these other countries. You have to consider that the population of the US is a lot more than the other countries but still per person, the gun death rate will be higher in the US.

If you don't want so many gun crimes, change the law to make them hard to obtain. Simple. People will still snap but it will result in a stabbing or a beating instead of a bullet to the head.

  • @gicronin saying that.. at 1:51:00 it mentions Canada having guns but not many deaths

  • Well, here's my first question: Do you think it's a little dangerous handing out guns at a bank?

  • @Ostergaard1987 I'd like you to tell me how many times the bank has been robbed by a gun they handed out and THEN make your case rather than relying on emotional responses.

I'd wager that a customer who's just made an account with the bank wouldn't try to rob it with a bolt action rifle. Call me crazy.

  • watch?v=WZhVktnesEA Denver Colorado Marilyn Manson's speech on the night of his concert after Michael Moore interviewed him.

  • Oh that's something...Don't have a gun or money go that bank and get both!

  • @thecanadianstoner1 I think it's smart, who wants to rob a bank that'll put holes in you?

  • Haha I know everyone comments on the kid pulling shit from every corner of his pants. But you'd think that since the faculty could pack so many firearms into every part of his pants, they'd know where to suspect a concealed weapon with a lax dress policy.

  • 0:19:40

crazy beard guy: that should be restricted

Michael Moore: ow ow so you do believe in some restrictions

crazy beard guy: arr well there's wackos out there

    no shit, its you. hilarious

  • 1:03:06 film freezes for me, is this the case for everyone?

  • @MsDM80 naaaaaa

  • Eric & Dylan wern't murderers, they were avengers taking down the bullies.

  • @prettyb0y1992 mate they were murderers, it makes me a little sick to think you could say they are avengers. you know whats wores than calling someone a name ? shootting them. an avenger is someone like that casey kid who just got the bully back so he wouldnt mess with him, not by shooting up his whole school.

  • does anyone else still get chills from when they see 9/11?

  • @DarkShadow117071 I would be surprised if, as american citizens, you did'nt. This thing seems to have been designed to scare people in the US even more and it worked a lot from what i've seen. The re-election of Bush (at the time), the public opinion in favor of the war in Irak, etc. With the economy going bad, the level of stress and anxiety will get worse in the US. Seems to me like the perfect environnment for the keg to explode. Oh well, im not gonna scare you even more lol

  • 1:18:58 who locks there doors while they are home, during the day?

  • The problem isn't with guns. Its with who the guns are available to.

The problem isn't with movies. Its with the news propagating fear.

We need to stop letting people get guns so easily and we need to stop being afraid. I have a gun and I use it for recreation, I enjoy hunting and target practice. I would use my weapon is self defense as a last resort, but I'm not afraid that I'm going to ever need to. And I would never seek violence as a result of fear.

  • 1:15:25 that gun store is a street away from my house, I see it everyday!

  • 1:13:02 my city :D

  • Imagen what the UK would look like after the recent riots if had the same gun control as the US.

  • When he walked away he walked like a giant ape.
