interesting song. i've never played any of the games, aside from the 2nd. but this sounds pretty awesome. was the music from the game (and more modern editions of the series) along the lines of this orchestral performance?

Mine is more of a softer ambient orchestral sound.

after hearing yours (makes it sound more epic and dramatic) it's hard to imagine it with a happier sci-fi techno sound. i think i'd like yours better but i can imagine a few environments (if the games have them) where something techno might be appropriate.
