I disagree w/ korlaplankton's dim witted commnt, she seems like a spazz.One word...pretentious. these actorsdeliver amazing performnces.Wes Anderson has a way of direction that alot of people just don't immediately "GET" I have known ppl who hate Wes Andreson films when they first see them, but as a seed digs it's roots in the earth so does the film tunnel in &grow. the more you see it the more you get it. it hits you afterward. the dry acting is due to brilliant direction. intentional?likely.

What exactly is there to "get" with Wes Anderson anyway? Seems to me that the only thing left for Mr. Anderson to do is marry his adopted daughter and he'll be emulating the person he really wants to be...

I just find his humor a little too juvenile. No brilliant direction to be had, just immaturity.

If Wes Anderson didn't have minions of pea brained art school drama freaks following him (buying his bullshit) he would cease to be. His talent; "limited" at best; at worst; non-existent.

I'm convinced that the popularity of Wes Anderson and his ilk are but a symptom of what is really wrong with our divided, fragmented and dysfunctional, society. God knows that his following do not understand the complexity of it all and obviously neither does he, but he knows how to exploit their weakness.

Seems to me that if one compares mediocrity to mediocrity the "slightly" better version ALWAYS shines brighter. But if one compares mediocrity to actual talent there is no comparison.

Wes Anderson's pea brained art school drama freaks are so limited in scope that its laughable. Wes Anderson exploits their weakness at an almost feverish pace. I am in awe.

Wes Anderson is one of the best!

Best movies in order:

Rushmore (First movie I saw by him and I was hooked)

Royal Tenenbaums (Simply love it. Deep movie.)

Bottle Rocket (Amazing for his first movie.)

The Darjeeling Limited (Wilson, Schwartzman, Brody combination is fantastic.)

The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou ( Very beautiful movie. Oh yeah, "Get you're ass the hell of my boat!" )
