@ArtyKing12345 If you write to customer service, all they will tell you is that the "Real Duke" is retired to the family home and that he has stand-in Duke's doing the commercials. There was apparently a real Duke Bush but given how long the commercials have been running (20 years), there likely have been many "dukes" in the commercials.

@ArtyKing12345 BTW - Customer Service will send you an autograph of Jay & Duke if you write to them and your kid writes to Duke the dog, somebody will write back as if they are actually Duke the dog. The letters can be hilarious too. "Duke" sent our family a Bush beans frisbee for our dog and a doggie bandana after a series of letters between us and "Duke". make sure you address the letters to Duke himself at the customer service address & you should at least get a pic

So THAT'S what Duke says! I haven't seen this commercial in umpteen years, but my memory always vaguely remembers what it sounded like Duke was saying. But I could never really make it out.

Ha ha. Yeah, I guess it's a pretty good commercial, but I always thought it was a bad idea to use a dog in it. I mean, when you see a dog and a can, your mind subconsciously thinks "dog food", right? LOL I mean, if you're trying to sell beans, in cans, to humans, the last thing you want them to associate your product with is dog food, right?

I don't know. That was just my impression the very first time I saw those commercials. LOL
