Nas - Illmatic, Wu Tang - 36 Chambers... all good, however I think you need to give the nerdcore scene another chance...it's just like conventional hip-hop, you have to dig for the good stuff... Sure you can listen to Kanye West crap all day, but you're missing out. If you truly like (conventional) hip-hop I'd recommend Mega Ran as a great gateway to nerdcore, find his album Forever Famicom. Also Zealous1, Dale Chase, Kabuto the Python...etc.
