Though a sequel seems entirely impossible given the game's conclusive ending, a PREQUEL would be quite interesting. It'd fill some major gaps in the plot and allow the story to be developed without jeopardizing its time-line or artistic integrity.
A sequel might sound like a great idea, but it could easily fail to meet our expectations. The story leaves little room for one, but it's possible (I'm thinking something about the son of Edgar, or a whole new Earth created by the first game's protagonist). Rather than mess up the original with a sequel, I propose a remake/expansion. Update the graphics, throw in a bunch of new skills and missions, add a character or two, advertise it more than not at all, and change none of the music.
This track had to be my favorite right next to "yeah I'm lonely" and its what got me to listen to fredricks music in the first place.
Even the title they selected was perfect as the music makes me feel like humanity is long gone even this music itself is nothing but a tiny fragment of our legacy that still remains in this world.
I had this game a long time ago. I thought it was an awsome game and the challenge ramped up quick. what I really liked about it was how with enough pounding the buildings and on some levels even the ground was completely destructible. I never beat it and unfortunately my nephew destroyed the disk while he was around one day. but that cut scene I just saw about the visions was awesome I can't wait for the sequel I hope it tells the origin of the dust.
I LOVE YOU FOR UPLOADING THIS, that is all :3, (omg this game made me want to 'rage quit' like 30 times during the last couple of fights, gyne sisters, freia, edgar, freiabomination)
@NoSleepSheep I don't see a sequel happening, the story's end didn't open up for one, maybe a spiritual successor i.e. different story and characters but identical gameplay. Actually if anyone's heard of it Rengoku on the psp has similar gameplay cept arsenals take the form of robot customizations
There is still a lot of people who play online, definately has a cult following, and so it should. A very underrated and original game. Something that is quite scarce these days.
@LtSphinx Really? i have this game, when i sold my xbox y kept this one and FF Crimson Butterfly, to play them in the 360 (i've should also kept the Kotor's T_T ) but i've never tried to play online with PD, is it possible playing it in the 360?
@sacapalpavo It was until a few months ago when they took down all the original xbox servers. They even had a few card/deck updates for balancing purposes as well, but sadly it is all gone.
When I discovered this game, I got it for ten bucks. Now it's only three dollars at the GameStop near my college campus. Whoever gets it is going to be VERY happy with the purchase.
And putting in classical music into the game was a wonderful move on the game developers' part. (Chopin's my favorite.) This song makes me think of a painful memory that melts into love. I don't know. xD Being a musician, I think about songs too deeply, it seems.
it was give a 3 or 4 by xplay i give it a 5 this n jet set radio was all i played on my xbox i i hated ma xbox but loved da games i sold my xbox cause da lack of good games some lucky kid got the game wit it now i miss da game wish it was fa ps2
Some of the song names in this game haunt me so much...I mean, some like this are pretty straight forward, but the dates are so damn odd. On some, natural disasters happened, others political events, and on some nothing happened at all. Makes you really think about why they chose it...
Definitely. I was playing yesterday, you know the mission in the refinery where you hav to beat guard, not the co=op with Know after he lsot his memory, but before it, just tring to get more credits, and i was jst like, wow, this game still kicks so much ass, Id LOVE a sequel...or a similar playing style at least. it's brilliant.
I love this song it makes me feel very relaxed if anyone knows who does this or if there is an artist i can find that does this type of music let me know.
This game dosn't command the respect that it deserves. That's the way it happens sometimes, though... Players jump on the bandwagon with titles like Halo while true gold slips through nearly unnoticed. It's occurred in other media as well.
a lovely little melody from a game that i feel deserved more attention(at least here stateside.) not only were the story, art style, and in-game environments great...the battle system was innovative as well. all of this set to a great soundtrack made for a truly awesome game.

And maybe change some of the objectives from "Find a recipe for Bouillabaise" to "Kill the suckas while pH pretends to look for a recipe."

My brother found this game at a flea market...someone gave it to him. No clue on price.
This game is so underrated, people just look at other games...leaving this one in the dust (no actual pun intended).

Definitely ahead of its time. The original still rivals a lot of today's games in terms of visuals I think.

Its actual title is "Trois Nocturnes No. 1. Op.9" by Frederic Francois Chopin. He has written many other piano solos that are just as beautiful.
