where's the beginning of the video that led to the escalation of this ordeal. it doesn't show how disrespectful she was and the other students were to the security and why they had to deatain her. And why was their a rally on how only black students are getting mistreated in schools. If it had been a mexican or white or asian acting how she was to get detained then im sure that the security would have taken the same measures as they did with her and the other students. Me being a former student. I have seen how the kids act when being told to calm down or even to be hand cuffed by a security and most of the time its like animals.

If my child acted like a jackass to a school resource officer then I would expect her to be arrested. However, my child does not act like a jackass at school. She knows that I will not tolerate or defend such behavior. If my child is told to pick up something by a resource officer, then she will comply.

So enlighten me, because all of the stories I've seen and heard is reporting the same thing they are all saying the students were unjustly attacked I've heard nothing of the security guards being attacked in fact they also attacked the one filming which is sad..Yes I wasn't there, and maybe no one is reporting the whole story but I don't understand why if the students attacked, its not being reported that would be more interesting.

"Attacked" is a little strong, although I admit the person filming was handle too roughly; but during the whole incident she was resisting and from what I heard, and I don't know if it is 100% true, that she was trying to fight back.

this is not a case of a security gurad doing his job and protecting the students. this is a case of blatent excessive use of force and child abuse. who exactly was the guard protecting when he twisted her arm and slammed her on a table, the cake or the floor? this girl was not a threat to any other student of faculty therefore this was not his jurisdiction it was the janitors.

dude, I don't know the situation with regards to the racism (oir lack thereof), but when someone trashes any part of a school, and you let it slide, you are telling these kids that they have the run of the school. Some semblance of authority has to be upheld but the staff, regardless of whether they're white or black, or the place would go to fucking hell. They're students for god's sake!

In a press conference today at the courthouse in Palmdale, something refered as race baiting was occuring, in an effort to exploit tension real or percieved. The gathering of out of the area activist, compared this case to the Jena 6 and Rosa Parks! Having worked last year with the SPLC to ID hate groups, its interesting to see a rush to judgement, even before the investigation is complete.

Truly sad, today at the court house they were telling the press that Mayor Henry Hearns should resign, because he chose not to join the frey today. I understand he was willing to wait on the official investigation and that was enough to have been declared an enemy! He is not my favorite politician, but in this case deserves better! He is being singled out as a african american mayor, how is this a demand for equality?
