@vano740 Significantly smaller ball, which moves the center of mass further away from the thrower during the throw. Adds distance to the throw.

out of curiosity, what is the advantage to throwing without a swivel?

@jimma75 There is a 0.35 reduction in weight that can be added to the ball instead. This causes a very slight center of mass advantage. I replaced the swivel with a small 1/4 inch clevis. If you were to do this on a standard bag it would be too short. That is corrected by a longer and wider handle.

nice toss man and nice weight lol just letting you know, my freshman year we took the swivel off of our weight and we couldn't throw it in a couple of bigger meets because of some bull crap rule. i cant remember exactly what it was but what it came down to was pretty much that some of the other coaches didnt like it so they all started complaining. but i really like throwing the weight without the swivel

thanks man. Its a 146mm ball filled with pure high grade tungsten. The harness is extremely light and I got rid of the swivel. There is over 34lbs in the ball alone. The only room for improvement would be to use a titanium handle.
