She only sings her own songs now because she's being represented by American producers who provide songs for her. In the Philippines, there are multiple shows that artists have to sing live at throughout the week. It would be a waste of their talent if they were to sing the same song over and over again instead of challenging themselves with a variety of songs.

If this was a TV production, I can only gain a poor perception of their abilities. I think Philippine TV networks should start gazing at their neighbors such as SoKor, HK, SG, Taiwan and Thailand for their technical know-how in producing good quality sound for TV-made shows, musical or otherwise. Philippine networks have been overspending on talent fees but underspending on the output and whole spectrum of production. The icing looks good but the cake itself is putrid. Just my honest opinion.

Even if she sounds like Celine Dion (and she does in some sections of the song), is that a good thing? I wish she could find a style and voice that would really fit her. Why not use her own voice? On the brighter side, she definitely sounds much better than that other 'singer'(??) in the other channel whose voice shrills when she screams it makes our ears wanna drop.
