The graphics in VIII are still good too. It's still a timeless game, but if this is real from Square-Enix then it could be a demo test or the real game being made.
It's hard to say too, especially because Sqaure-Enix is so busy with 3 KH Games, Final Fantasy XIII Fabula Nova Crystallis, and Dragon Quest IX. I'm sure they'll take a break after those games.

FFVIII was, by far, the worst game in the series unless you want to count FMQ or the Game Boy titles. There were plot holes big enough to drive a mack truck through, the magic system made absolutely no sense, the junctioning was annoying as all hell, the levelling system was a complete disaster, the card game was horrendous yet somehow necessary to access the most powerful equipment, and the characters were as one-dimensional as a geometric rendering. No thanks.
I think a remake of FF8 would be a bad idea because the ending is very cut and dry but I love the game so I would buy whatever they put out, crappy or not. (and yes this image is fake)

Fake, without needing to watch the videos. Why make a remake of a game so many sandy vagina American nerds bitched endlessly about because of their own instability with poignant interpersonal social phenomena? Plus which everything on the internet is by default fake. Square-Eunuchs would sooner poor money into the bloated polygons of FF7 than anything else.
A Sequel of Final Fantasy VIII would be great, but Final Fantasy VIII has a Happy Ending. And I don't think they want to ruin it. It would be too risky, cause after all it's not as popular as Final Fantasy VII where they saw now "Hey, they want more of it, let's earn some money!"
well there is a chance that there will be a second part, because i saw some pics on the net where Rinoa's hair was cut and had different clothing on, of course maybe the producers of the game don't exactly know how to make the story, because they need to think of a new bad guy/girl depending on what the producers want, and a story that makes some sense and fits with the previous version of FFVIII

from what i heard, a little while after ffvii came out they were planning to make an ffvii - 2 but they gave up/never started working on it/changed it into something else.
It's a fake. It was based off a render and cosplay called "Sexy Rinoa" a guy rendered it, made a little Amano-esque image of Griever and slapped some Japanese on it from the Famitsu.
The guys I know at Square never planned for a sequel to VIII.
Plus they made Dirge of Cerberous, a spinoff with Vincent. Plus they're remaking the original game with improved graphics, they have definately done enough.
the personally i don't think the raped 7...mainly cause......they never made a sequel not a game version anyway...... game with vincent wasn't a sequel...you use 1 character, its shooter, and not an rpg... as for the movie....still doesn't count as a sequel cause its "not" a game...

If one's to take the word of the guys over at Square, which, imo, is the most reliable source of information, Aerith's name was supposed to resemble the word "earth", simply because she was, more or less, a representarion of the earth/a Cetra. However, due to Japanese gana, her name became "Earisu", which, in turn, became the mistranslated "Aeris" in the first English version... So, no, her name isn't, despite what someone apparenly must've told you, derived from Aesir.

and side quests is because the company feels like it's a waste of time (it does take alot more time to do this on
newer consoles, as programming/texturing blabla whatever is more work). This is also the reason FF7 will never

that's your opinion but i hated viii in my book viii is second to worse than 10-2 (although 10-2 had amazing game play simmler to chrono triggers but it had a lame story)

from what i heard, a little while after ffvii came out they were planning to make an ffvii - 2 but they gave up/never started working on it/changed it into something else.

It's a fake. It was based off a render and cosplay called "Sexy Rinoa" a guy rendered it, made a little Amano-esque image of Griever and slapped some Japanese on it from the Famitsu.
The guys I know at Square never planned for a sequel to VIII.

Plus they made Dirge of Cerberous, a spinoff with Vincent. Plus they're remaking the original game with improved graphics, they have definately done enough.

the personally i don't think the raped 7...mainly cause......they never made a sequel not a game version anyway...... game with vincent wasn't a sequel...you use 1 character, its shooter, and not an rpg... as for the movie....still doesn't count as a sequel cause its "not" a game...
and I don't think they will ever make a FF7-2... if anything it will be a remake... and no different type of game play maybe just a few more hidden weapons to fight...

Nah the original FFVII game had her name as Aeris. In Norse Mythology, the gods were called the Aesir, and Aeris is those letters rearranged.
Aerith just makes it sound like someone has a lisp, lol.

Actually, that's false... If one's to take the word of the guys over at Square, which, imo, is the most reliable source of information, Aerith's name was supposed to resemble the word "earth", simply because she was, more or less, a representarion of the earth/a Cetra. However, due to Japanese gana, her name became "Earisu", which, in turn, became the mistranslated "Aeris" in the first English version... So, no, her name isn't, despite what someone apparenly must've told you, derived from Aesir.
