  • @mopable : As mahatmacote says, if you want to talk about "ripping off", then ALL of British blues was a rip-off. A more enlightened view -- overall -- is that this music speaks to the modern human spirit, and as long as you give "props" to the originators, as this band appears to do, then hey, carry on with it. I first heard "Chicken Shack" as a Muddy Waters instrumental. He mighta heard it from someone else, I dunno ...

  • Excellent !!!!!!!! I love it !!!

  • are these guys supposed to be a rip off stan webb's chicken shack?

  • @mopable that's none too sensible a question chap. Chicken Shack were a white British band who took their name from US blues origins - and the phrase simply 'chicken shack' isn't theirs except that they took it in the first place. They are playing a rather good semblance or original blues! Note that Stan Webb often put a higher amped electric slant on it as did most of our better (or worse) blues-rockers, clapton really messed it around in Cream, Greeny emoted through his voice and frets.

  • Great playing. The blues travels around the world!
