  • I hear GMP is now out of business, a big shame. However, I don't think they will be the last to fall victim in the changing diecast market. Prices are becoming too high and collectors are unable to afford buying new models in the quantity they once did.

China is no longer able to provide the cheap labour factories to produce these super detailed models at affordable prices.

  • Based souly on this review, I bought this car. I waited a week to get it impatiently! I have since taken it apart 6-7 times to catch all the detail I may have missed the first time. What a great model! It makes some of my, uhm, lesser models not look so hot. Thanks for this video! :) *subscribes*

  • I now hate the cheap, plastic-y diecasts now

  • @frankisfunny2007 Yeah, models like this can make other ones look a little lame. It's outrageous. They do great work, and they're a bunch of stand-up guys.

    Thanks for watching!

  • Hello All, This is Mat Long at GMP. Thank you all for your comments. I am very sorry to those of you who have had some issues with QC on the recent corvettes and some Ferraris. Please call us anytime and we will work something out with you, 770-868-1042. As for the Model Paradies website that the gentleman below is referencing, they are very mad at GMP for not supplying them anymore. They were released by GMP because of constant dealer violations...thus the anger towards GMP. Thank you all!

  • @gmpvideos Mat - your reputation is safe here. Thank you for being such a vital and involved part of the diecast model collecting hobby. We always look forward to seeing what you Georgia boys will think up next.

Be well - and stop in here often!

  • Lucky Car Room. All six Masterpiece Collection models I've received (two of those being replacements) had dust-impregnated paint, poor fit , huge glue marks, and broken off parts (always in the plural). Yet GMP continues to charge big bucks for poor quality. What's the use of high part-counts if the parts are poorly painted, glue-marred, or busted? Purchase at your own peril. Six out of six says it all. If anybody thinks that I'm just making this stuff up, I'll be happy to send you pics.

  • @hlcepeda Wow - that's definitely not good. Have you contacted the company about replacements? We've heard their customer service is great.

  • @Thecarroom No, sir. GMP non-response to an e-mail awhile back re my 1/12 GT40 informed my decision to work directly with my usual and excellent retailer who will try to pry from GMP a 412P that can actually qualify as an acceptable replacement. I'm not hopeful, though. Obviously, the MC series' problems are systemic. Go to the modell-paradies website (Art Craft Models) for scathing review titled "GMP Masterpiece Junkyard". Things are really bad when a retailer dumps on the manufacturer.

  • i got the mazda787b from autoart now starting to build my collection lol

  • I just got the Daytona 1967 winning car. This is an amazing diecast car, no video can do it justice. If you are on the fence about getting one, let me give you some advice and just get the car, you won't be disappointed!

  • they also forget to mention that the gt40 was built by fords british devision

  • Except for the engine. Wouldn't be up to much with no engine, eh? And the gearbox wasn't British. It was an American-British-German-Italian effort.

  • i want the coupe...

  • bloody beautiful,, l have one on order,, cant wait to get my hands on it....
