  • @fakdol thank you so much your support!

  • regarding the tomato paste , in the video @ 3:10 you say half tea-spoon but in your website it says 1/2 tbs (table-spoon) . Which one is correct amount ? Btw, do you cook chicken souvlaki by any chance ? If you do then it would be great if you put that in ur website . Thanx.

  • @Valjeann good idea, i'll work on the chicken souvlaki. Just follow the recipe on my site, that is correct.

  • it's supposed to be in a shish??

  • @sa5tta well yes you can cook it on a skewer or in a pan, either way it tastes great and you will love it :)

  • im arabic also my mom makes the best

  • @19donutluver all Mediterranean mom's make the best food :)

  • Dede a lot of your recipes dont have how many it serves listed, does that mean it just serves 1 person?

  • @burninbabe all of the serving suggestions should be on my site, this is one of the older ones so I guess I forgot to add it, this recipe serves 2-4 people...depending on how much they like it :)

  • wow you re really good is that arabic bread you used ?

    thnx

  • @carotte131 it is pita bread, the recipe is on my site as well :)

  • Why not upload your cookery video for the Tropical Sun Cook Of The Year competition? The winner gets their recipes published in a cookbook and you can win an Apple iPad. There's a video about the competition at YouTube/TropicalSunFoods.

  • @FanzineVideo sounds interesting :)

  • that actually sounds pretty good, id prob skip on the yogurt tho and use a bit of cream

  • The best sandwich ever =

open pita bread & spread toum all over the inside, then place the chicken shish tawook inside, sprinkle a little bit of mujaddara, & then top off with a big spoon of tabouli... last but not least wrap & enjoy!

  • @RjeanBagierra very interesting.

  • Do you mean Liffet? for the pickles? ie Pickled Turnips?

  • @MsJOOOLIA some people call it lifit some call it kabees :)

  • Comment removed

  • @InternalGamerz LOL happy cooking!

  • Hi I want to try this recipe, just wondering will I taste the ketchup when it is done? I don't like ketchup that is why I asked. Also can you show us how to make the salad with the pita in it and also the rice with the little noodles in it..lol? Thanks. Love you recipes.

  • @EBABE143 No you do not taste the ketchu at all, if you are nervous about it then you can just eliminate it and add more tomato paste :)

  • Thank you Dede. Men do flip over you (LOL) but you are beautiful and a wonderful cook. I wrote your recipes and anxious to make them! I can never get enough of M.E. food! Oy.

  • Hi...I have a question-I used to have some friends who were mediterranian and one lady she cooked some rice which had chunks of tomatoes and potatoes and I think fresh parsley in it as well, does that sound like anything you know of?? Id really like to know how its made it was delicious!

  • I think my mom makes this but I'm Armenian but it looks great and I'm hungry now

  • @mgoanto wonderful :)

  • @mgoanto Me too! Armenian food is the best.. Armo pride :)

  • you know so glass like chopping boards? well if you have one of them do you STILL have to use two separate boards for meat and veg. its glass? it should wash off properly?

  • @chicharwali Well that is a really good idea, but just in case, I think it's always a good idea to use 2 different cutting boards :)

  • Do you think this would suit good with rice as well? I'm more of a rice person ;)

  • @TheToeBrand this goes great with rice, check out my Mediterranean brown rice recipe :)

  • It would help if you put the recipe ingredients in the description. I am just looking for a recipe - don't really want to filter through the video for them.

  • @Aldind2x You don't have to, the written recipes are all on my site!

    HAPPY COOKING!

  • I made this today, substituted tomato paste with medium salsa and use organic plain yogurt and paired it with your Med. Brown rice recipe and steamed Asparagus in a butter and basil sauce. My husband loved it! He literally said it was the best meal of his life. Thanks!

  • @BabyTubeTv

    Absolutely amazing, great job :)

  • First time I made this one I made it because it looked quick and easy. Second time I made it because it tastes amazing. Thanks Dede! Great recipe.

  • @joservintage

    sounds great, good idea :)

  • On the third day, God made olive oil and it was good.

  • i use the same everything (knife, cutting board, etc.) to get the intense feeling an hour or so after i eat it, the abdominal pain is how you know what you made was a master piece. Whala! xD

  • would a butcher usually charge extra for requesting the chicken in cubes?

  • maybe a little bit extra but not to much. You can cut it at home and save money :)

  • Greek/Mediterranean yogurt is a bit more sour and thicker than regular yogurt but if you can't find Greek/Mediterranean yogurt then regular yogurt will work fine.

  • why are you so beautiful? i can't even concentrate on the cooking! :(

  • Loved it....I put it in the pita and added tomatoes and parsley and onion...yum

  • Dede, I'm planning to make this recipe plus the Batata Harra nxt wk (with other recipes), but don't know what dip/sauces to include. Will the tahini sauce work? Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

  • You can make the tahini sauce, it is on my falafel video, it's really easy. Or you can make a white sauce or a gravy. If you use tahini sauce, garnish it with fresh parsley, it will look beautiful :)

    HAPPY COOKING!

  • Well explained. Looks delicious!

  • Thank you so much for these recipes dedemed! My girlfriend and I also live in Montreal, and love Amir and shish taouk in general. Ive been looking for a recipe for it and the garlic sauce now for a while. We tried it tonight, and it didnt turn out as thick as it should be.. it was a little thinner than ceasar salad dressing. (We dont have a proper blender. Only a manual one that we have to turn ourselves.)
