@drkhancock14 For example, we just finished a 600whp big block build. Low compression, n/a, pump gas motor. Try that with a 4cyl. A 600whp 4cyl is not going to be street able period. Huge clutch and huge cams. Good luck driving to drive that in stop light traffic. And weight doesnt mean as much as youd think. 100lbs is about the same as 10hp or 1/10 in the 1/4mile. You can probably only pull about 400lbs out of the average car. Add that up, it doesnt mean much.

@drkhancock14 Hon duh' get it now? Der da der. Anyway, it does matter. 500hp is in a 1.8L is going to be half as reliable as 500hp in say a 5.7L. Its the same force spread across a larger area. Thats where ricers get all offended when muscle guys bring up engine size. Its not that you cant, its that you shouldnt. 500hp in a big v8 will take a beating for years, while in a 4cyl, your likely to tear it down ever winter. Thats the point.

@drkhancock14 For example, we just finished a 600whp big block build. Low compression, n/a, pump gas motor. Try that with a 4cyl. A 600whp 4cyl is not going to be street able period. Huge clutch and huge cams. Good luck driving to drive that in stop light traffic. And weight doesnt mean as much as youd think. 100lbs is about the same as 10hp or 1/10 in the 1/4mile. You can probably only pull about 400lbs out of the average car. Add that up, it doesnt mean much.
