@Foxx1981 Malkin is a glass man? Crosby has missed half a season twice now, once with an ankle (with Malkin stepping up to save the season) and now with a concussion. Malkin played with a nagging knee injury most of this season that they never allowed to heal and the way his knee was hit to tear his ACL and MCL, no one would have had their knee survive. He took a direct blow.

Honestly, you must not understand how hard it is to be a pro athlete. Just making it is almost impossible, they go through such a long journey full of hard work and dedication. Not to mention, your statement about "its up to the player to win their salary" is wrong. The better you are in any sport, the more money you will get offered on your contract, which is all up to you and how good you are. Compare Crosby's salary contract to most any other player...definitely up to the player

The Flyers would have finished first in the conference if not for the ten game skid, nevertheless, the Flyers went in as the six seed, and knocked off the third and first seed in the Eastern Conference. And if Timonen and Coburn didn't get hurt in the fist couple games, the Eastern Conference finals would have been a better matchup .
