A unique story about a wonderful American with a great talent. Those paintings are so pretty -- they captured the heart of old Texas and the soul of the primitive artist. Thank you Kim, thank you Bob and thank you Virginia. I'm glad the paintings were preserved in book form. Americans need to get this book -- then read, reflect and remember.
Yea its part of life huh? cities growing and the greens disappearing! yea we're now expanding. how we gna do it later without oxygen! GLOBAL WARMING!!
Its not over population which is the koolaid we've been fed in the 60's...and the same koolaid Europe drank which now leads to an exploding population and change in demographics with muslim immigrant families having 6-13 children...but PROGRESS. In one sense, having too few children. Farms not seeing their children want to stay and farm for one, which is incredibly hard work and life, having only 1-2 kids ...who long for what modernity offers. Inheritance surrendered, and land abated...
As long as we are re-producing at the rate we are, this is a part of life. People seem to forget that over-population is why we are living more closely together. It isn't because all these people moved in from the country. There are just more and more of us.
Ok, was it taken away from her? If so, that is a total tragedy! But I doubt it, with growth comes wealth and prosperity and new beginnings. Maybe a new ranch after she leaves she says.....In this day of economic down falls and paycheck to paycheck living, some "folks" just still aren't doing too bad.........Best of Luck!!!
How so very very sad that modernization and urban sprawl and progress has to take away so much life away from us. It truly is tragic to see this happen.
Fuck Austin.

Will the cancer of urban sprawl ever get under control? My family farm is in danger too. What a tragedy and nobody seems to care.

This isn't progress. I don't know anyone who thinks it really is. It's just called by that name by those who are trying to sell something.

The Texas Hill Country is vast and beautiful. She really captured it.

Beautiful paintings!
A beautiful farm replaced by cheap, armpit housing developments! Just what we need! Another housing development!

American tragedy. Another life changed forever in the name of progress.
