From Istanbul, the heart of the muslim world, when i listen the taksim (the intro), as a Turkish brother of Algerians, i can see the visions of our domestic people, domestic food, domestic buildings, feel the domestic music, domestic culture of Islam and feeling the same things.
I LOVE THIS SONG, I LOVE ALGERIA, I LEFT MY COUNTRY (EGYPT) 26 YEARS AGO BUT EVERY TIME I LISTEN TO THIS SONG I TELL MYSELF I WISH I HAD NEVER LEFT.. I MISS HOME.....
.....Hardship will end and you no longer learn or build anything. The days don't last, just as your youth and mine didn't.Oh poor fellow who missed his chance just as I missed mine.Oh traveler, I give you a piece of advice to follow right away
See what is in your interest before you sell or buy.Oh sleeper, your news reached me.And what happened to you happened to me.Thus, the heart returns to its creator, the Highest (God)"
@AmiraAngela...Here is the translation:"Oh Emigrant Oh where are you going?Eventually you must come back. How many ignorant people have regretted this before you and me. How many overpopulated countries and empty lands have you seen? How much time have you wasted? How much have you yet to lose?Oh emigrant in the country of others.Do you even know what's going on?Destiny and time follow their course but you ignore it.Why is your heart so sad?And why are you staying there miserable?
I would kindly ask anyone who can translate this song, pls write here a translation of it. Is very beauifu, and trully wish to know what it means. Thank you.

How many cities and deserts have I roamed? How much time have I wasted Touring from one place to another? Oh lost one, no matter how much you run away Your destiny will end in exhaustion Time has passed you by And you have yet to notice it. Salam alaikom,
I've always loved this song.. And did not until today when I read it off somewhere know that it is not originally Rachid Taha's song.. I just heard Dahmane El Harrachi's version for the first time ... and it's so beautiful I don't know where to start to describe... it's musically magical.. there's so much talent in this one song... WOW.. is all I can say.. Thank you for sharing this song
@anasmughal It's Algeria. Sadly though, it is not such a great place to live in due to terrorism, a corrupt governement, poverty and the absence of freedom. Many Algerians have left Algeria to go to France because of this.
I can't say that I am a big fan of Middle Eastern/Medditerrian cuisine, BUTTTT...I do like the remake/cover version of this song done by Rachid Taha, (Cheb) Khaled, and Faudel. I LOVE their orchestrations used in it. It just gives it...such a vibrant color to it. Like you can "see" the struggles of the traveller. (That's how I came across this piece.)

Hi LordBelda! Many thanks for this wonderful video. I have traveled the world over and I can confidently say that Alger la Blanche is one of the most beautiful cities I have seen! May I congratulate you for your delightful "coquille", though ("fowl language"). He does talk like a chicken!

Ah........!. The truth you miss it and when you go back you see all the pain and suffering of a people with unpredictable future or no future at all . How sad indeed !!!!.
Thank you for posting this beautiful video.. You have made me yearn to go back :D... Unfortunetely I only got to visit the "Grand Post" and
Sétif Fontaine d'Aïn El Fouara Due to the time I visited it was still unstable.. so I was dissuaded from visiting the Casbah .. But still to this day I tell people of Algeria's Beautiful Architecture.. Truely beautiful.. As for the song.. I can see why you posted the original.. :-)

Beautiful video, makes me want to visit Algeria:), its impossible now because i'm Egyptian :S. This is my all time favourite song... the photos and the music makes me feel that Algeria, as well as Egypt is alot more than Football team.
@laohuang100 you chat rubbish, your from vietnam or korea or some fucked up country like that maybe even china. either way the 1 japanese person is worth more than 20 of you people, your worthless.
I love this song throughout the day and I left Algeria and when thrown has the plane and I heard this but he is right chonson

Hi LordBelda! Many thanks for this wonderful video. I have traveled the world over and I can confidently say that Alger la Blanche is one of the most beautiful cities I have seen! May I congratulate you for your delightful "coquille", though ("fowl language"). He does talk like a chicken! Bonjour à Santogi, Madame l'Afrique et Bab El Oued, quartiers de mon enfance!

Many many many many thx !
I spent a year in Algeria in 70s, as a diplomat child. This early version brings brought back moving memories.
2 day, modern versions keep going on air in Europe night spots.
RIP Dahmane

@laohuang100, You are no longer welcome in my channel. How dare you come here and swear and insult the rest of the world under my roof?
For someone that claims to have lived abroad for 34yrs you dont seem to have learnt much!
Judging by your statement (34yrs abroad) you must be over 50yrs old this doesnt reconcile with your fowl language and hatred.
NO DISRESPECT but I guess the evolution process is still on in your case. Try to make a video and express urself in a more civilesd manner. Thx

Beautiful video, makes me want to visit Algeria:), its impossible now because i'm Egyptian :S. This is my all time favourite song... the photos and the music makes me feel that Algeria, as well as Egypt is alot more than Football team.
Peace :)

Stay in your country, there is no need
for you to visit Algeria.
Beside your are an arabe, honestly arabes are not welcome in Algeria.
Egyptiens are the worst among arabes
laohuang100 2 years ago
I am an Algerian and an Arab.
You are not Algerian. So, do not talk in our name. Just get the hell out.

Of course it is. Egypt and Algeria are not made of football Fanatics.
Thanks god !
