Does anyone know what this version is actually called? It's my favourite version. I'm about to buy an arcade machine with like 1900 games :) but I want to make sure it has the version so I can super throw, super freeze and super turnoff (yep, those are the original names). I can still remember how to do them all and am absolutely dying to do them again. You could actually do three super throws in a row, which would finish your opponent, but it was super hard to coordinate three back2back quickly

there was 2 more glitch i learned at the arcade when i was a youth.

the freeze (guile) with his elbow rise up while standing like a karate kid.

the other one is the complete black out (machine would reset itself up)

hold back and spam 2 buttons. i won't tell through hehe. this only work on the arcade i heard and they fixed it.

Its not called the Phantom Throw back in my day 1991-1992 it was known as "The Touch of Death"

do you know about the statue? guile make a normal throw but the enemy gets stuck with guile and then guile and a statue himself with the high kick.

sorry i know is too late: Yes the statue is also another trick, you can froze guile and also when the oponent is close froze the other one, u can do it with VEGA

Great stuff, we used to call it the magic throw back in the day. We used to turn off the machine by doing the backdrop and flash kick simultaneously using Guile!

My record for this game (Blanka) 21 perfects without any cheats,difficulty level "hard". points-around just over 1.200.000. I finished Street Fighter II (world version) with all characters - 1 credit for each.

The reason I ask is because I used to be able to do the phantom throw (we called it the air throw) at the drop of a hat, but I have never been able to do it on an emulator. I can do the handcuffs, but not this. Can you tell me which version of the emulator and rom you are using?

If you can do handcuffs on the version you have, you can do the phantom throw. You may wish to see about slowing down the speed of your gameplay as the timing is very tight.

The SF2 ROMS are in sequential order, so get the lowest number possible, to eliminate any doubt.

No combo throws? You can chain them together and throw them in a corner as many times as you want (well, until they die), so once they're thrown once, they can't stop it.

When you throw them dizzy, they stand up with more stars every time you do it :)

Nice, it seems no one on youtube has posted Guile's 'invincible' Guile stands frozen and the opponent can't take off any health. You can just pop out of invincible at the last second and take the game. Great stuff. Very tough move though.

In UTC/Yellow Brick Road it was known as the touch of death.

Now, the coolest thing I found to do with it was that you could counter the phantom throw/TOD with a timed Dhalsim flame that would look as though it were coming from his ass because he'd be sliding on his back as the flame came out.

I remember lines goin out the door when this game first came out...guile had the coolest moves with the phantom throw(we just used top call it the invisible hand) and blacking out the screen,and freezing the other character, and best of all was when we found out how to unfreeze the characters...we would wait till the last minute before the time ran out...it used to piss people off something awefull!!

HOW TO TURN OFF THE ORIGINAL SF2 ARCADE MACHINE. throw the character with med punch and quickly hold for a flash kick do the flash kick before the character you threw hits the floor and the machine will reset. i did this to people who fed the machine quarters while i was playing talking about im next...ha ha i would do this while playing Bison and just act like i didnt know what happened. i was a pro when this machine ate my allowance.

this only works on the original sf2. for everyone who wants to know how he did it pay attention....hold for a sonic boom press forward then back and press med kick then med punch one after the other if the timing is right itll do this so called invisible throw.

btw you do have to charge like you do for the bladekick also when you do acomplish freezing the player/comp to you mike mc posted the throw to get you unlocked from the freeze. it works on the old sf2 arcade edition.

there were 3 so called glitches with guile that one you have show is 1 the other you crouch down like you are gonna do his bladekick take you finger put it on the medium punch when the otehr player/comp gets close swipe your finger down from medpunch to mediumkick while going up on the joystick it will grab then try to throw the other player but it will freeze him to you

Am i too old? Where's the Reverse? The frozen blade stance is called Golden Stance not freeze - when i learnt Freeze it was you're calling "Handcuffs". And is there an Untouchable Stance in the trick bag? I could show you youngsters a thing or two

Charge back then hit forward on the joystick along with the Fierce and Roundhouse buttons. Try to hit the Roundhouse button slightly before the Fierce button. Also, you should hit the buttons slightly after moving the joystick forward. You can practice this by throwing sonic booms and seeing how far forward you can walk and still throw the sonic boom
