I'm a trucker among other things and I promise you all,there is no industrial base anymore. What little industry that's left is utterly inadequate for 320,000,000 americans.Also 25% unemployment is right at Great Depression levels.Someone correct me if I'm wrong but small business creates 90%of the jobs in the U.S.and the feds,state and city gov't have not only killed the goose that laid the golden egg,but they've eaton its flesh and are cracking the bones for the marrow.COLLAPSE IS INEVITABLE .

The war of Northern Aggression, or Lincoln's War was not fought to end slavery. Was slavery a significant aspect of the war? Of coarse, it was the back bone of the southern economy. Read Lincoln's first inaugural address, it speaks volumes. What we are dealing with today is a result of the actions taken after peace was declared in 1866 - the Nationalization of citizenship, achieved by the Reconstruction Acts and the forced ratification of the 14th Amendment.
