honestly, i didnt think that the quality of the chroma key took away from the video at all. im not sure if i am sold on the concept, but overall the video was pretty good.

Sure. Storywise, why should we care about this guy? He's just a guy. She tolerates his foolishness. Why should we care about her? Really, there is no setup for this story. So, not having any investment in the characters, the story doesn't move us emotionally.
Techwise, don't use footage of the band that detracts from your story. The band must obey the law of gravity. Your setting is beautiful. Come up with a story to draw us in.

OK, we have hillbillies playing with knives and getting injured. Now, of all the hillbillies you know, how many of them don't know the first thing about knives? Add to that inattentive domineering husband, co-dependent wife, a band hovering in the woods and the tree of knowledge. The guy comes back to get clean socks. Is he supposed to be a war vet on the mend?

Dude, aside form the technical difficulties which you already went in to; this is a great directorial debut. The feel of the video goes well with the tone of the music and your interpretation of the lyrics is both intellectual and inspired. Congratulations on a great effort. Keep working on more videos, I look forward to seeing more of your work.
