That's just how the game is, you have to be playing w at least one other person to get ribbons.

if you want it to take longer then put on mutators it lowers how much it grows if you use hard mutators it makes it grow faster

I do the same thing on the same map except I use the retro lancer, do it on a boss wave, and use the mutator that gives instant kills from wacking. (this mutator works on Brumaks, berserkers, and gunkers. It doesn't work on reavers or lament berserkers.

the overall score modifyer also effects your money you spend, I.E. playing on insane with super reload, no ammo pickups, and enemy hp regen will gain you levels faster, don't believe me? try it.

This method is ok but i prefer to use instagib instead of unl ammo, works way better against zerkers and since ur gona die each round just pick up the ammo from where u died, i rarely run out of ammo also u should do it on normal or hardcore for the exp towards fortifications

Why are you shooting out all your ammo? The super reload happens at any point in the reload when it stops blinking, zero ammo in or 3 less than a full clip.

@kacyraye Gottcha. I know on the DLC it only covers what you reloaded but I though on the normal game it auto fills the entire clip with super reload regardless of when you reload. I'll have to check it out tonight when I get home.

The amount of money toward a new level is based on score multiplyier i know because i played with super active reload and infinite ammo which lowerd my score to 0.5x 1 (casual) and i spent nothing execept on 1 forification i watched how much i spent then after i quit the match looked at how much i needed and it showed i spent 15,000 even though in reality it was 30,000

wrong waste of time the harder the dificulty the more ur money counts 4 if its casual it only counts as 60% b4 the easy mutators do insane/bloodrive/instagib melee on your own its alot beter it count as210% of ur money so $1000 counts as $2100

I stopped playing Gears before the new fortification levels came out.

I was able to get to level 2 in about 2, maybeee 3 horde games. Don't remember the exact number.

Well I stopped playing Gears before the update on November 1st, but before then, yeah I had everything maxed.

And not that many times. Maybe 20?

I mostly leveled up playing standard horde with random people, it was more fun that way.

BIG THING U DIDNT REALIZE!!! do this ONLY on wave 9.... wave 9 is easier and they have less hp.... do it on thrash ball or on checkout... camp middle and if u dont completely suck than u will win FASTER... also get insta gib for berserkers and gunkers. and corpesers.... yes u get 2k more but by the time it takes to do it on lvl 49 u can do it like 3 times opn lvl9... thumbs up if u beleive my theories r right... btw i got 100 grand in about 20 min. Note: insta gib does NOT work on lamb-zerker

Oh and when the fog comes just keep clicking the left thumbstick (spotting) and aiming at the opening, that way you can still target the enemies.

I believe the best way to level the silverback up is to play trenches, get the base where the oneshot spawns and camp on the left hand ramp from the dugout, in the silverback. just far enough up that you can shoot enemies coming from the tunnel in the middle. works a charm =)

There is a much easier way to do this.. Do boss wave 10 and have instagib melee with super reload, and you'll get 8k each time in about 2 minutes depending on how good you are at this game.

I'm tired of repetitive shooters.  I like games like Chromehounds. It was a shooter with an extremely high learning curve, a lot of customization, and strategy. And every game was different depending on your teammates and who you played.

So until a game like that comes out again, I won't be playing xbox for a while.

I hope you know guys that putting money in fortifications while mutators are active you don't get the full amount you spent on that specific fortification. For example: putting the starting 1000 dollars into decoy while super reload (-25), Infinite ammo (-25), friendly fire (+5) are active you get 60% of that money. So it is just 600. So it takes longer than people thinks. But it works for me. So less mutators or harder ones, harder difficulty makes more money but takes longer time. Your choice.

Hmm I didn't even look into that until now.

He's right, mutators and difficulty do affect how much money you put into fortifications.

So i guess i would recommend setting the round to 19, maybe 29, and setting the difficulty to normal/hardcore while using the same mutators.

It's really up to the player on what you want to do and what you're comfortable with, but in the long run I still think the gist of this method is the fastest way to level up.

fortification master onyx medal is how many things you repair bro, i did the turret thing, where one player shoots it and another spams Y and reloads it as many times as possible, i got it in 5 horde waves

Haha nah it's easy to look good with a super-reload mutator that drops them instantly.

And oh I know right?! At 2:00 on my vid for how to beat horde on insane, I almost die from one shot and I thought it was a sniper, then I look and see the dude with gnasher and I'm like seriously??

And on insane, the grenadiers with the boltok pistols drop you with one shot when they start doing double damage. Totally o.p. haha (overpowered)

The only problem is that since you're doing casual and with mutators, not every dollar will count towards the fortification points. But this is indeed a good way to get money.

The difficulty does not affect how much money you make or how much money you put into each fortification level.

The difficulty only affects how much experience you get for ranking up in the overall game.

It also affects the leaderboards, but really, who cares about the leaderboards haha?
