They used broomsticks I believe. Then he used Adobe AfterEffects to edit over the broomsticks with the "lightsaber" effect...this is what caused the scene to move sort of slow. It was in a high school, so it wasn't that easy to swing the broomsticks really fast.

wow, er. nice try guys, but your movement is too erratic, and sometimes slow, some of the hits don't even look right. if you could, say speed up your movement that would really increase the quality. (p.s, differant music, dont use star wars music, it doesn't feel right, and take out the lightning bit, sith lightning NEVER looks good.)
