  • I have to read this for school

  • Just goes to show you how much shit a woman can get u into.

  • ;_;

  • i still dont get why he shot lennie

  • just watch this in class

  • @JWflikz So did I

  • I Should Of Punch Him In The God Damn Face...

  • You ain't tending shit.

  • boom headshot!! +180.... buzz kill+200

  • Only literate people watches something like this....that tells that some of the society is doing something good with their life!

  • Lenny was George's 'pet'. . .

The lesson I've learned and taken with is that sometimes in real life; you can work hard, plan, make good decisions, but when it's all said done done, still wind up falling short, failing, and losing:(

  • Why lieutenant Dan?!?!

  • One of the few scenes from a movie that actually made me cry.

  • Why did he kill him?

  • @batmanh20 Because he kept getting into too much trouble, and it was stopping them from achieving their dream, but he didn't want Curley and the others to do it and put him through a lot of pain, so George wanted to do it and got the gun from one of the guys. If you remember Candy and his dog, it's basically the same relationship between George and Lennie

  • I cried at this part :(

  • its not funny guys this is sad :(

  • I just read the book, it was so much better comparing to the film, the best bit is when I have to write a GCSE about Curley's wife.

However I love the film and the actual story Is amazing.

I recommend to read the book.

  • @MultiBBull lol same here

  • "You get to tend the rabbits... IN HELL!"

  • Wow. Skyrim jokes on a Mice and Men video? -.- And really all of you people that laugh when Lennie dies, you're dicks.

  • I still watch this over and over again and i cant stop laughing it is just soo funny... "An i get to tend the rabbits" not with a bullet through the head your not!!! hhahahaa

  • funniest thing i have ever seen this film is comedy genius!!!!!! an i get to tend the rabbits :P

  • i hope i wasnt the only person who laughed when lennie said "and i get to tend the rabbits!"

  • when george shot lennie our whole class burst into laughter

  • @Jillyho96 err..why??

  • @SuperSweetalicous because, i guess we are all terrible people that find humor in a disabled person being shot

  • @Jillyho96 Same it was sooo funny

  • This has been on my mind ever since i watched the movie.

That was about 3 weeks ago.

Its just a... MY DEAR LORD WHAT THE F*#! DID HE DO?!?

  • Nice going dective mac talyler!

  • I nearly cried. Lennie's so cute... I just wanna pat 'im on the head. :3

  • 1:41 cant stop watching that part

  • I LOL'D XD

  • I thought when he broke that her neck, they'd kill everyone besides Slim & the stable guy. I was wrong.

  • 52 people thought they were gonna tend the rabbits.

  • DOME ROCKED!!!!

  • If this movie was made recently, Lennie would get shot in the knee :3

  • I read the book, and i still think it's funny. :D

  • Comment removed

  • Thumbs up if you read this book in english!

  • damn he shot him with no hestitation!!

  • Comment removed

  • i wish they'd just get up and run to their little farm, and Lennie could tend his rabbits. :')

  • How can you people be so cruel? Just read the book and you won't think it's so funny that Lennie had to die. This is truly touching and meaningful part of the book and the movie just couldn't seem to capture it correctly.

  • Oh wow that was an unexpected death D:

  • @maityopolis I read the book and I still think it's funny :D

  • I didn't like how they did this scene

  • Lenny: And i get the Tender rabbits....

    George: FU RO DAH!

  • PSYCH 4 the WIN! best impression EVVA!

    (check out my channel ''GustrGames'')

  • i saw this in my English 1 class

  • @AnthonyDavidRoun Lol same here SO FUNNY XD

  • @WALZ97 ikr

  • I dreamed of living on the fatta the lan' once, but then I took a bullet to the brain.

  • looks like you dont get to "tend the rabbits"

  • this scene is fucking hilarious

  • 1:39 for action!!!

  • It seemed too abrupt...In the book it kinda leads up to the final moment. George is telling Lennie how he hadn't done anything wrong and how he was never mad at him because "guys like us are the loneliest guys in the world, but not us...we got eachother". He's hesitating and he's reluctant to shoot him, but he finally does it. In the movie it kinda takes you by surprise. They can't even finish their chant and George stands up and shoots him.

  • @Tedsta101 Hey i think its cuz George dident relly plane on shooting him till it happend and he shot him at the part about the rabbits so Lennie died at his happyest

  • @Ikutlesswitaskillet Yeah i just finished watching it in english class today!

  • @Ikutlesswitaskillet im here from middle school english class :P

  • AND I GET TO TEND THE RABBI.. *BANG*

  • i still wanted to see the giant rabbit hallucination...

  • John Malkovich...BRILLIANT.

  • When I read the book, I didn't think George was going to shoot him. I thought they were going to run away like last time. But I guess George did it to keep his job, even though he told Lennie he'd get to tend the rabbits. :/

  • @AshxxJuanxx He didn't do it to keep his job. He did it because he knew this would keep happening and get worse. Slim told him that jail was know place for a guy like Lennie and he knew Curley was going to kill him painfully so George decided to kill Lennie by making him happy and having him die painlessly.

  • when i read the book i didnt think he just pulled the gun out like that

  • this scene was very sad to me

  • I think when he was saying this, it had a deeper meaning. Like he will be in a better place to tend rabbits and have a ranch. It's a self interpretation obviously but that's what i think. And I would think that he would kill himself too since they were kind of in on everything together, they were best friends. It would have made more since in my mind but i'm not the other lol. It's a great movie/book also

  • My little brother is Disabled Physically, and I could have never done that to him. I mean you Promise that you would get the land and live off the land but still sad for the George how he had to kill Lennie, Man those two were like brothers together and at the End of the book a Dude says "What in the Hell do you think is Eating them two?" I can't believe i still remember that line.

  • *lennie

  • :'(

  • TEARS JK

  • Imagine if Lennie was able to get away with the excuse that Curly's wife "got her head caught in a machine". The boss would be like "Damn machine, whatever it is! Hurt my son and killed my daughter-in-law!"

  • I WANNA TEND THE RABBI -BOOM LMAO! XD

  • thank you for being one of the only ones who didn't edit this scene, or compare it to CoD and say stuff like "HEADSHOT!"

  • Lolol

  • ):

  • if you guys seriously think it was cruel for George to shoot Lennie, you're all going to fail. Happy holidays!

  • @MisfitChemical but lennie doesnt no bette

  • @MisfitChemical your right, this was the best possible way George could save Lennie - it shows how strong their friendship is and only he could do it =(

  • I know it's a movie and all but I almost cry every time I see this part.

  • or curley said he was gonna shoot him in the gut with crook's shotgun and "double him over"

  • he killed lennie cuz curley would have lynched him, and he wanted him to die without any pain

  • Sad ending, but you should have heard some of the suggestions my classmates thought of to stop Lennie dying.

    "Couldn't George shoot Curley instead?"

  • i was the only lad in my class who felt sad at the end *forever alone*

  • English Class...

  • so sad :(

  • STFU! you know nothing if you are saying that it was a bad idea for him to kill him like that. If you know what "lynching" is, you would understand

  • @aarontperdue1 yeah, it was better for him to get shot in the back of the head rather than the gut. If you read the book he wasn't going to get 'lynched' he was going to get shot in the gut if George didn't shoot Lennie himself.

  • I thought this was pretty sad. But I see everyone say that George did it because he couldn't take Lennie always making mistakes. I think that's a part of it, but I think the main reason was that he knew Curley was going to kill him and just shoot him like a dog. I think George thought it was better by his hands, in a peaceful way where Lennie was calm and ignorant to what was going to happen. Curley would have just shot him while he was all scared then hang him... Great story. I really liked it.

  • @pwnzord1 The first part is wrong. If you read the book, he wanted to save Lenny from a painful, miserable death (by the hands of Curly). George didn't care about Lenny's mistakes and would have gave his right arm to save Lenny if he could.

  • i think the eneding is sad but its the thing george had no choice it was to much. george couldent tke the constent trouble of lennie especilly after killing curleys wife

  • @jamesgames08 Nah, George should have gone Commando pro and killed everyone with the Luger then run for the Mexican border.

  • I thought that was very sad. It is almost like George just shot a little, helpless, and some what slow child in the head.

    asshole.

  • @2021manbearpig if he didn't, Curley would've tortured then lynched him.

  • :'(

  • Why's everyone crying because of the end I laughed so hard! It's hillarious

  • @Jacksonator101 D. I. C. K. Enough said.

  • @Jacksonator101 Still a... D. I. C. K.

  • When I watched this in my English class back in 2006, everyone gasped and was silent for about a minute. The girls started crying and I felt like shit inside. I didnt see that coming at all.

  • Lennie used to be an adventurer like George, until he took a bullet in the head.

  • @ToxicTurquoise454 that was tasteless

  • @ToxicTurquoise454 swear to god next time someone says that to me, he'll be the one to take a bullet in the head

  • I hate the ending

  • i go to all girls school. so we all just cried.

  • cried my eyes out when i saw this ending

  • He went full retard for this roll

  • its not common that a movie makes me tear

  • hey DORGE!

  • I went to see this in the theatre, it was well more emotional than this!

  • pretty good book and i love it how when we discussed the ending the boys kind of were laughing and the girls were horrified and scared to death

  • @TheFiestyterrorist At my school it was completely opposite, the girls started busting out in laughter at this scene while the boys look somewhat saddened.

  • @KingSamLopez o really thats kind of funny just the huge difference

  • @TheMightyNim I am XD!

  • Watching this movie in school, Lennie gets shot every boy laughs and every girl covers there mouths. Its a 44. it would have blown his entire head off.

  • :(

  • You aint tendin shit mate.

  • As he loads the gun all that runs through his mind as hes Lennie is saying I can tend the rabbits is yep you can tend the rabbits as soon as I just blow your head off. Kablam! have fun with your rabbits

  • UMMM... in the book george hesitates like 3 times to shoot lennie..but in the movie he just straight up shoots him lol

  • I've just finished reading the book and watching the film in class, and I can tell you that I really loved this film. It's actually one of my favourite films ever, I cried so much in class at the end and I just couldn't stop! It's so sad that George had to kill his best friend because he didn't want him to suffer.....

  • I SOILED IT! I SOILED IT! I SOILED IT! I SOILED IT! I SOILED IT! I SOILED ITTT!!

  • I cried when I watched this at school. It was so embarrassing

  • This scene isnt betrayed like it is in the book. George just comforts him and slowly rasies the gun and shoots him. This is kind of a quick, harsh way if you ask me :/

  • Im studing it for my GCSE.

  • Poor Lenny ;\ :'(

  • Like if you came here because of your English GCSE. :)

  • @xMUTANTSWiiNEzZz yes that is why i came lol!!! :D

  • NOOOO!!! :(

  • now whos gonna tend the rabbits

  • @thenutifiyer I Actually About Pissed Myself At Your Comment.. XD

  • @thenutifiyer LOL

  • @thenutifiyer dude, don't make fun of it!

  • i cried when i watched this in english:'(

  • You see, Lennie being killed is not just good because it saves George from his life being consistently ruined, but also saves the lives of all of the rabbits that Lennie would have crushed. Because Lennie is a killer, he just doesn't know it. When he holds something, he has such a desire to squeeze it, that he panics and squeezes harder.

  • @ChocolateHoneycomb uhmmm its really because he knew if the men found him first they wouldve put him through a slow very painful death

  • When I read the book I always pictured Lenny with buck teeth, a piggy little nose, and messy hair, a lot like a young child. And he looks so different here. He looks like my science teacher.

  • and i get to tend the wa- BANG

  • thumbs up if you coudnt stop crying after this movie ended. seriously this had to be one of the saddest moments in movie history. i mean hes so much of a likeable character you dont want him to die, and when poor lennie does die you cant stop crying cus its so sad. i was just glad that we see george and lennie walk off into the sunset in the final scene. it proves that even though george had to do what he did, he still loved and cared for him. so i think thats the moral of the story freindship.

  • In the book this scene was much mr=ore beautiful and had the theme of friendship more strongly, i though the bit where George tried to do it once and couldn't was really sad, and they missed it here :(

  • tend my fucking bullets, bitch.

  • @ConnorTheUnwise connor you cunt.

  • @ConnorTheUnwise You're a little git.

  • " and i get to tend the rab" BOOM! xD

  • wow lol alot less dramatic than in the book xD, just BOOM HEADSHOT, not MY HANDS ARE SHAKING, MY HANDS ARE SHAKING, BUT IM STILL SHOOTING, AND IM STILL GETTIN HEADSHOTS, LIKE BOOM HEADSHOT

  • @FraserDorrianTV Accidentally strangled her.

  • studying this book at school , the film helped me make sense of the book

  • @FraserDorrianTV Because Lennie just killed someone's wife by accident, and the husband is mad with a shotgun.

  • 49 people got shot by George

  • 1:41 to 1:45 is epic.....lol

  • "and i get to tend the wabits"

  • @111UnderOath111 I cry every time I read that line, or hear it, or quote it.

  • i love how he stands upa nd points the gun at his head from behind, and he shoots from the side.. -.-

  • KILL CONFIRMED

  • im doing this in school <3

  • I'M SO CONFUSED!!

When I read the book, it said that Lennie "begged" to go to the little "house".

Did he know he was going to be shot?!

Or does it relate to the shooting of Candy's dog, saying "he won't feel a thing" or "he won't know what hit him"?

  • I remember seeing this movie in 9th grade! So sad. :(

  • George and Lennie were portrayed totally wrong in this movie. When I read the book in english class I always thought George should speak with a calm voice (instead with a strange accent like this) and he didn't throw the gun away after shooting it..and stuff.. :(

  • This is sad how i have a little brother who is like Lennie, but i could never have the courage to take his life.

  • QUICK SCOPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • gotta do this for my shitty exam tommorow -_-

  • and i get to tend the rabbi- BOOM

  • Reading this for school :)

  • domed

  • why is it a revolver? it war a ruger in the book. Why didnt he throw the gun away? thats what happened in the book, i hate when they change stuff like that

  • PPPPPFFFTTT AHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHA

  • YOU DON'T GET TO TEND SHIT!

All in all great film, better book

  • Such a good book.. is it fucked up if I laughed when Curley got beat up by Lennie? lol

  • Who's currently studying this book at school?

  • @TheMightyNim lol i was gnna post the same comment lol

  • @TheMightyNim me

  • @TheMightyNim god dammit i just spoiled it for myself...... oh and yeah me too

  • @TheMightyNim i am reading this book right now in school it is really good.

  • @TheMightyNim me :D

  • @TheMightyNim

    me -.-

  • @TheMightyNim I am!

  • @TheMightyNim me...
