the newest diaspora are going to be us greek people, again. The economy here is too bad. Me and lots of people in my age (25), are going to leave Greece , for a better life. just the same did happen years ago at 60's.

I used to live in Queens (Astoria). Not too bad a place when you're young. When I've gone back, it seemed so ugly. Especially compared with Greece.

Nature so beautiful to many yet we can not enjoy it with all our heart.

Everything is in second place and we walk around with our real homeland in our hearts.

We know it has changed, we know we can visit but not stay, we know we left as Greeks but when we return we are not Greek to them, etc

We always find ourselves back home in our hearts and mind.

It's just a state of mind our home!

We have a hard time admitting it!

Being an immigrant it's a curse! Never feel at home! Trying to preserve our culture! Having to work extra hard to prove our selves. We don't get the same opportunities. The only time we are equal is only on election day. We struggle twice for many reasons. We never impose on our host nation. We build house but can never build a real home! We eat the food but it never tastes as good! We smell the flowers but the beauty and aroma are not there for us! The stars are further away 4 us!
