  • This song is so beautiful. It's melody is full of passion and has a happy energy

  • Witness the magnificence!!!

  • When Pink Floyd is your backup band, you know you're SOMEBODY! Rock on Kate!

  • @SRTST51 The band is not Floyd, just Gilmour, different styles, but definitely not my kind of music.

  • @thefifthnail

LOL... the best thing about them is that if they say a song you like is crap, it's not offensive because they're supposed to be stupid

  • @thefifthnail Beavis & Butthead were watching the segment with the whirling dervishes in it and Butthead said "It's Mr. Bungholio and his Twirling Fartknockers" That's where I saw it too, and those two clowns "sold" me at least four CDs as a result of some video clips.

  • she's a dream...if she read books i would listen with my heart

  • And speaking of Rage, this video is 4th up on tonight's show. It's about the only show that ever plays Kate's videos.

  • what's with the "Rage" in the beginning of all her videos?

  • @ombregrise im not sure but i always assumed it was an old music video channel or something.

  • "Rage" is a popular all-night Australian music video program.

  • She is worth worshipping. I will never stop loving her. My hero.

Watch "Kate Bush Under Review" for a wonderful look at her life and her talent.

  • does she look good or what .THAT WOMAN MAKES MY HEART RACE...

  • you might not think so now... but just you wait and see!

  • I love it really...

  • It was David Gilmore who first discovered Kate...

  • Powerful song by a powerful singer and a powerful band....

  • charloia the guitarist is David Gilmore with the rest of Pink Floyd. I couldn't believe it my self. the dj

  • I know I should know who that great looking guitar players is but I dont...if anyone knows, please advise. thx.

  • Wow I have always loved Kate Bush's music. But i had no idea she had Pink Floyd as a back-up band. Totally awesome. 80's rule!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love this Song... I don't know alot of Kate's songs... I know she has a large song catalog... but "Love and Anger' and "This woman's work" are my favorites... i love these songs!!!

  • David Gilmour sounds even more Gilmour like on Kate Bush' albums than on the Pink Floyd albums. Sounds like he is pushing himself on the solo parts.

  • What would we do without you, Kate?

  • When did Kate Bush ever perform at CBGBs? You must mean a Kate Bush tribute act?

  • Vind het ook een prachtig nummer.... zoals zoveel van haar nummers by the way...

  • i have spent years trying to copy her hair but i just can't seem to get that same volume and bounce.

  • WOW ,haven't seen this in a while

that scene with Kate surrounded by

    whirling dervishes is just stunning

& this song....is just perfection so many

    emotions there SHE"S THE BEST

    'nuff said!

  • Heh. The drummer said on a blog recently that he spent years picking glitter out of that drumkit!

  • Yes, they're very similar!

  • This song it's one of my favourites!!!

    One of the best

    She is a really ARTIST!!

  • David Gilmour!! I love this song! Kate is the frickin best..noone comes even close to her talent! ;p

  • With Pink Floyd he's David Gilmour... with Kate he's David Fucking Gilmour... why couldn't he play as inspired with Roger Waters? Must have had a crush on Kate.

And to prove that Kate's music blows away Pink Floyd, "Comfortably Numb" was perhaps the most boring song of all time until Kate did the live duet with David.

  • It seems so in terms of the albums mrscry but, as you might agree, an exception is the CD of Pulse, Pink Floyd's spectacular 1994 light show concert of their Division Bell tour, and there some great live renditions on there- I especially like 'Astronomy Domine', 'Learning to fly' and 'Keep Talking'- the latter 2 are far more substantial than their album versions.

  • Even so, Dave Gilmour seems to have been at his best on this song and Rocket's Tail when freed from some of the ponderous work of Pink Floyd and given the wings of Kate Bush on which to truly soar- and it is a big shame that only one Syd Barett song 'Astronomony Domine' features on Pulse when 'Bike', 'Arnold Layne' and 'See Emily Play' to name a few are some of the best things that Pink Floyd have ever done.

  • heavy sigh...just beautiful and so talented.

    wow

  • her hair is so beatiful.

i like her voice and her hair.

  • This Rocks!

  • You're welcome, 95defender.

  • Thanks very much for posting this, dawnrun911. Brilliant piece. Would you happen to have "Reaching out" as well? If yes, it'd be great if you could post it as well!

  • Reply to 95defender, part 2, cont.:

    12) Davey Spillane - Uillean pipes, whistles

    13) Alan Stivell, Breton (& Celtic) singer

    14) trio Bulgarka - Bulgarian singers

In this video I only recognize David Gilmour and I think Paddy Bush. Maybe someone else knows more. Cheers.

  • Reply to 95defender, part 1: I can give you the names of the musicians who contributed to this album: 1) Stuart Elliott - drums 2) Charlie Morgan - drums 3) John Giblin - bass 4) Mick Karn - bass, multi-instruments 5) Eberhard Weber - bass 6) David Gilmour - guitar 7) Alan Murphy - guitar 8) Jonathan Williams - cello 9) Paddy Bush (Kate's brother) - mandolin, tupan, valiha, wips 10) Del Parlmer - guitar, percussion, bass 11) Joh Sheaham - fiddle
  • kate vuelve pronto! come back soon kate!

  • I can't think of a single song of Kate Bush's that I don't like:)

  • is that David Gilmour playing guitar in this video @3:48?!?

  • it most certainly is

  • yes!

  • Additional reply to tsartodd: He discovered her when she was 16 (and seemed to be a friend of the family as well).

  • Friend of a friend of her brother. Was invited to hear her work and was so impressed that he produced a couple of her songs as demos:- The Saxaphone song and The Man With the Child in his Eyes which made it onto her first album.

  • as Beavis said, Mr. Bungholio and His Twirling Fartknockers.

just kidding -- i like this song :-)

  • i think that love and anger is the big sky part 2! amazing. i would love to here some medley of the two. how does she do it? genius. i've been trying for years and still cant write anything half as good as that! kate...what would we do without you!

  • ...and doesn't she look a bit like Madonna in the Little Prayer video? Or does Madonna look like her? Who came first?

  • Kate came first ;) she also invented the radio mic which Madonna later used when nicking Kate's ideas of incorporating dance with music on-stage.

  • Oh god thanks to whomever posted this. I had no idea this was ever a video. Luvvit luvvit. Love the image of her in the black dress with the dancers and dervishes behind.

  • go rage! still going

  • I play and sing this song over and over. I love the lyrics, one of the best songs on an interesting record. She's wonderful.

  • Amazing how this stands the test of time. Still visceral.

  • Queen Kate strikes again! f**k-me - i'd forgotten about this one! Just goes to show how good her well-known songs are - this is one of her lesser-known songs and it absolutely kicks-ass!!!

  • love this song!!! rage is the most awesomest music video channel ever - they always play kate!

  • Reminds me of my relationship.sigh.

  • Your relationship with what?.

  • Other half. Its one of those pesky volatile affairs with little chance at a future. Although a little bit of hope....

  • @dawnrun911 its usually with another person, generally speaking..

  • Thank you kate bush
