  • jim showed us here how great it is to live and grow and learn. Thank jim henson.

  • That's quite a bouncy song. Who wrote it?

  • Joe Raposo wrote the music, Luis Santerio the lyrics.

  • Isn't that orange monster up the hill next to Kermit the same monster who was in that commercial for [scrubs], showing his X-ray shows a hand?

  • who cares if its not scientifically accurate information?

  • mw, please give me signs of life

  • This song is called 'We're Alive'

  • I love the way he went 'Baby' at the beginning xD

  • It's funny that what they are talking about is something that science still has not clearly defined. Some classify bacteria as 'living' and others dont for instance.

  • You're thinking of viruses, that need another organism to supply necessary biological chemicals and environment to reproduce and use energy. Otherwise, many viruses are dormant and do not meet the "living thing" criteria.

Bacteria, however, are considered alive in modern science.

  • The key to the longevity of these classic episodes...and it's clear just in the level of ambition in things like this...was that Jim Henson and Co. weren't making this show for kids. They were making this show for kids, adults, and themselves. They asked themselves what would I want to see and then they made it kid friendly. That's the key to making lasting children's entertainment.

  • Very well put.. I agree completley

  • They had values they were more devoted to than money

  • Right! Kids shows today are just vehicles to sell toys.

  • AHAHAHA so cute!!!!! :D

  • This is more accurate scientifically than the Little Chrissy "Alive" song - plants are alive too! Ironically, Muppets aren't, except in our hearts!

  • kermit's got rythmn!

  • Oh I forgot how much I used to love sesame street

  • What year is this anyway? Just sort of wondering if this would have been one of those pre-Kevin Clash Elmo's. He didn't have any solo lines in this, so it's hard to tell.

  • Wait, ain't one girl in the song "Kids just love to brush"?

  • shoes have sole

  • Wow, thanks for posting this up. By the way, eating a shoe? That can't taste all that great.

  • well do u like sole lol

  • I take it that's an in-joke?

  • My grandpop's friend has a farm & a pet goat & when i visited him once the goat ate one of my flipflops. So i guess that means the goat's alive LOL ^^
