Since there is a going trend of supporting homosexual rights (possibly stronger in the USA than other countries), a YES answer would have pleased the crowd/judges but it would go against her own morals. Miss NC was the best choice. In the short amount of time she was interviewed here, she got the messages out for the pageant (Miss universe coming up, How fun was it to win, the appropriateness of the questions, the eco-friendly crown, etc) and sounded articulate unlike Miss Prejean.

personally, carrie looks kind of old. kristen looks young and that's what the missuniverse co. wants. at least she has the guts to say she wanted and knew she would win because that's what the other thought but just can't say it. at least miss cali was honest and that's all i can commend her for. kristen got the high scores and she had a good response for her question(which no one seems to care about)

I wasn't crazy about Carrie's answer in the interview (but impressed by her honesty and guts), but she still looks and sounds so much more intelligent than Kristin, after hearing Kristin talk in several interviews. If you're judging purely on looks, I have to admit that Carrie's face is absolutely more beautiful. Kristin is pretty no doubt, but she is not strikingly gorgeous like Carrie is. Carrie, I think, would have a better chance at winning Miss Universe than Kristin.

Miss NC was the best choice. In the short amount of time she was interviewed here, she got the messages out for the pageant (Miss universe coming up, How fun was it to win, the appropriateness of the questions, the eco-friendly crown, etc) and sounded articulate unlike Miss Prejean.

A couple of things. Carrie is the bigger celebrity out of all this. There is no way Kristen would have answered that question like that, she had plenty of time to think about it and Al even said that.
