Some kids like to figure skate, do gymnastics, play tennis, or do pageants. To each his/her own. As long as they love it, they should do it. I do think it's not something I would Choose for my children, but if a child loved something, I would at least let them try. A good parent lets their child choose likes and dislikes, unless they are really harmful.

It's not the show -- it is obviously showing how bad these stupid pageants are, by showing bratty children, pathetic parenting, and crazy people. If the show stops just 1 girl from doing pageants, it's a success.
