The stones have 2 of the best guitarists on this planet in keith and ronnie, i reckoned ronnie was shit hot when he was with jeff beck. what a band long live the stones...................
hey guys hats off to ronnie........... im sick of people slagging him ronnie was a stone before he joined the band........ the guy just fits into that band
I think what people get very sentimental about is Taylor's ending extended guitar solo on the original cut which is just pure guitar genius. But yeah, the main riffs are just as genius and indeed "Keef's" :) together on Sticky Fingers Taylor and Richards created one of the greatest rock and roll songs ever. And of course we can't forget how well the sax (Bobby Keys I think?) works in there too.. Either way, I wish I could go back to '71 again when I was 10 and music had much more integrity.
I thought this was a really nice jam, guess it was a pre-tour warm up or a sound check?
On the best era each one has special bits, Brian was a gifted player whoa added spice, Mick was a great guitar player and Keef was at his height song writing and Ronnie 'weaves@ beautifully with Keef. I thought Ronnie's playing on the last tour was brilliant and he showed nice feel on this video.
they all look like they need to get high , already.that's the reason the original sounds so NASTY, they were on DRUGS. good, back-in-the-day, real drugs.
Muy bueno el video....parece que es un entrenamiento antes de una gira. o las pruebas de sonido antes de un concierto. Aun asi thank you to the dude who put this video on youtube

"now we're the greatest rock band in the world."
that's what keith said back in '95 when asked about jerry garcia's death.
i concur and i love him for saying that. class act.

Would love to sit on a chair, quietly, in a corner while they rehearsed. This video clip makes that possible. Thanks for posting!

how is that....that a rehearsal is better than a live performance? it does happen.
Rasputin688 2 years ago
OK, the opening lines on the song are Keith's. MT originally plays the rhythm to Keith's lead. It's the solo that is MT, and it's pure genius.

Taylor's riff? How come Taylor only plays instrumental part o this song on stage while he plays other stones songs on stage?

The beauty of the original is that Keith's riff sounds NASTY. It needs that distorted tone to really rock.
rodekill72 2 years ago 3
The original riff is Mick Taylor's on Sticky Fingers. That is why Keith will never get it right.
maikata329 2 years ago
Keith just can't get that beginning part right.
