That is because Riley was created to be hated that was her whole entire reason for her character being on the show to get John away from cameron. Her whole entire reason for being is to give the writers something to write about to not make every single episode about tracking skynet. Also to be hated because it gives fans something to complain about for awhile but Riley was never ment to be liked that is why she is here and a good charactor for the short term
